How to know it's a YGE song. After bridge of the song third chorus is always different and beat is different from first two choruses. Third chorus hits more hard and has a party vibe more like an anthem. Typical example- All Blackpink songs last chorus, Bang Bang Bang and Fantastic Baby last chorus, 2NE1 I am the best last chorus, Treasure Boy and I love you last chorus. There is always a beat change. Hope you understand.

It was somehow called futuristic hiphop vibe in yg that they produce since 2ne1 era. I guess the only difference is that its has a well form choreograph which sm usually known for. In yg, they dont really focus on choreo before so its really different when watching treasure do full choreo performance. .

imo as a YG stan since 09, MMM really does give a YGxSM vibes. I also thought of NCT with this comeback but def the swag and unique vibe of YG is still pretty prevalent. One thing that makes it really YG for me is how expressive EVERYONE's faces are. They aren't trying to look handsome-cool. They look more gritty-cool with their expressions especially Hyunsuk. They aren't scared to look a little frightening or ugly to suit the intensity of the song. I also remember in some old videos that YG trainees are trained to express while lipsyncing words to what was supposed to be purely dance dance prac (no singing). If you look closely you see a number of members lip syncing to whoever was rapping or singing. Jihoon during Yoshi's part for example. I think this little detail gives audiences a little extra to look at when they perform. Something that rises above a perfectly synced choreo.

omg it reminded me of NCT as well like the instrumental and just the feel of it all. NCT songs notoriously have a lot of split opinions about them as in you either hate it or love it for being somewhat different than the usual kpop sound. And I like NCT songs so of course I like this as well.

I can see what you mean with the nct thing I think the backing track sounds like it could be from an nct track but what makes it yg is the chorus, the ending, and also the format of the song itself. nct tend to have that traditional sm high notes bridge. but I love both groups and this song is defiantly my favorite treasure song so far

YG started the hip hop era in Kpop. Most people would agree with me thinking YG is going back to its old YG Hip-hop vibes through this Treasure comeback. Even the B-side, "Orange" still has this old YG sad love songs. Both tracks, at least for me, has this Bigbang Vibes for hip-hop and sad love songs. And I love it. Boy and I love you are so good for mainstream Kpop. But as someone who has seen YG contents since 2009, I love this and my babies are not playing. They are slaying and I feel like a proud mom, watching their growth from the start.

omg it reminded me of NCT as well like the instrumental and just the feel of it all. NCT songs notoriously have a lot of split opinions about them as in you either hate it or love it for being somewhat different than the usual kpop sound. And I like NCT songs so of course I like this as well.

i totally get where you’re coming from when you said that this song gives you NCT vibes. personally i feel like this is definitely a YG style song but there’s certain sounds or elements to it that IS something that i’ve heard in some NCT songs so maybe that’s why🤷♀️ either way i love it!

I can see what you mean with the nct thing I think the backing track sounds like it could be from an nct track but what makes it yg is the chorus, the ending, and also the format of the song itself. nct tend to have that traditional sm high notes bridge. but I love both groups and this song is defiantly my favorite treasure song so far

when i heard the rap and the vocal parts, it sounded YG because it has the same vibe with some iKON songs. It only has complex choreography which make it different and the vocals are lit.

YG started the hip hop era in Kpop. Most people would agree with me thinking YG is going back to its old YG Hip-hop vibes through this Treasure comeback. Even the B-side, "Orange" still has this old YG sad love songs. Both tracks, at least for me, has this Bigbang Vibes for hip-hop and sad love songs. And I love it. Boy and I love you are so good for mainstream Kpop. But as someone who has seen YG contents since 2009, I love this and my babies are not playing. They are slaying and I feel like a proud mom, watching their growth from the start.
