    I became ordained years ago, but fear paralyzed me and I never went through with it. Fast forward and I'm looking into it again, hoping that this time I am brave enough to do this as I know I can be good at this! I just need to not be afraid to fail...wish me luck!

      I got ordained in 2016 and decided I was not ready either. I am thinking about this again, but strictly part-time. A wedding a week and I am good for now.

    Found you today and loving your videos. As a Notary Public; I don't tell clients that I'm new at this.....I am doing my first Officiant wedding in almost 4 weeks and practicing my script. I live in the Florida Keys--weddings here are very popular. Just thought I'd add being a Officiant to my roster to my Notary business. Happy belated Thanksgiving...LOL.

    Would you pro program go along with people who live in the US? Are the business aspects of the course still relevant here in the US?

    • @unboringwedding
      @unboringwedding  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely - thanks for asking! Legal regulations might be different, but the business aspects of an officiant or celebrant practice as it relates to marketing, copyrighting, online presence, and client best practices, etc.
      are relevant everywhere in the world! Let me know if you have any other questions about the program…

    Hello, I am about to purchase your course and perhaps your website service. But I have a question. What do I do about testimonials and photos, etc when I am just starting out and have not performed weddings? I am actually going to play a wedding officiant in a movie on September 10th and was going to ask someone to take photos so I can use some on my site. Should I do a few FREE weddings to get some testimonials and how do I even do that. Also, as a beginner, is it OK to still set a high price.

      Hey Derek - awesome! Thanks for your question. The best (and only!) selling points you have when you’ve never done even a single ceremony is this: tell everyone in your immediate network and on your social media that you are fully trained as a wedding officiant in how to write and perform the best wedding ceremony ever via Unboring!Wedding Academy - and you’ll officiate for free in exchange for a positive review if and when the couple deems you worthy. Over 50% of wedding ceremonies are now done by friends and family, and so you won’t have a hard time finding someone in your immediate network getting married and needing you - if you can tell them you’re trained and 100% know what you’re doing. When you get those first one or two weddings under your belt and get those reviews and photos up, the ball will start to roll. All you have to do is ace a few ceremonies and blow people away with the love story and word will spread fast. Then you can come out and charge the average in your local market and blow away expectations a few more times. Then you can start raising your price as demand grows. Within two or three seasons, you will likely be as busy as you want and be able to charge double the average. This is the typical experience of officiants the Unboring!Wedding community. Make sense?

    Lawyers or clergy? Hmmm. Well, I trained with the Community Catholic Church of Canada, BUT it’s mostly non-religious weddings.
