Thanks for taking the time to do this guys. We are at around 1530 chairs now, mostly GTE‘s and it’s really important for prospective customers to see and hear a real life owners perspective. Nicely done, with the hidden harness. I think many will appreciate how you presented that. Well done. Mike 👍
We’ve ordered a trekinetik for our 10yo daughter it’s coming in March hopefully. It’s the powered version with controls for her and controls on the back for us too. So excited for her to be able to have control for herself and be able to access areas a manual chair just couldn’t handle, walking the dogs across the muddy fields near our house, going to the beach etc. and she’s been able to order the seat in pink too!
@@thewheellifewithgeorgejess8227 thanks, it’s hasn’t arrived yet 🤣🤣 but it should be coming this week which would be great as we’re off on an outward bounds holiday on the Lake District over half term, so cross your fingers for us!
George, I had the same problem as you. I could push my Quickie GPS inside, but when I went outside I didn't have the strength to push myself in so many places. It was very frustrating to lose so much independence! Now, I live alone and I have a Permobil F3 that I drive everywhere. When I'm outside I drive it like its my truck.
I'm looking for an all terrain push wheelchair for an elderly person. I would do all the pushing. The patient would not need to push it herself. Nothing motorized. I'd like to be able to push the patient around for a few hours a day. The main goal is to get outside in the parks. Travel long distance. Similar to how a parent will push their baby in an all terrain stroller so that the parent gets exercise. Does the third wheel in the back interfere with the caregiver's walking path? The wheel in the back looks like it would disrupt the walking of the person pushing the wheelchair.
hello 👋, I wouldn't say the third wheel interferes with the walking path of the person pushing, no. However, hearing your requirements I'd suggest there's other chairs on the market that could be more suitable. Hope you find what you're looking for 👊
@@thewheellifewithgeorgejess8227 What other wheelchairs should I look at? I'm having a lot of difficulty finding the right one. Adjustable height on the push handles so that the patient can push and walk sometimes. Pneumatic tires. Ability to go thru grass, dirt paths, over tree roots. Brakes on the push handles.
Do you have the Ni-Cad batteries, or the Li-Ion?? 8 miles isn't very much range... I'm a little disappointed to hear that actually. Most conventional chairs get 15 to 20 miles.
Yes. Other chairs may last longer out of one charge but they’re usually not interchangeable batteries.. so once it’s dead, it’s dead. This way you can have as many batteries as you need and interchange throughout the day (if necessary). Also makes for a lighter chair overall.

I’m glad you’ve also found an alternative that works for you! Maintaining that independence of movement when we’re out and about is important. 👏
Wow, you should patent your chest strap. Superb quad hack!
