I would love to see Missy Elliott and Timbaland make a movie about Wendy Williams and her cocaine addiction, miscarriages, hair falling out, and cheating abusive husband, just spilling scorching hot tea all over her. But not use her real name, more like Candy Wilson and instead of "how you doin" it should be "what you been doin" so there'll be no lawsuit just incase someone who works with Missy or Timbaland to pitch this idea and get revenge
And I know there are some or a lot of celebs that she crossed would happily participate in that production. That's right have all of her dirty laundry out in the open and then for everyone to say "Karma, smooches ;)"
I always knew R.Kelly was 27(aaliyah was 15) in 1994 when they married but what I just recently learned was this: In 1992 R.kelly released his debut album Born into the 90s and there's a song called She's got that vibe where he gives aaliyah a shoutout. The exact line is "cute lil aaliyah". She would've been 13 at that time.
honesty90 actually she was probably 12 because the album was recorded the pervious year if im not mistaken. If you go watch the music video to this song the shoutout is at the 3:34 mark I believe
They should have respected her parents wishes and not do this movie, absolutley wrong for this. Wendell Williams should never produce another damn movie!
Yasss Justin J I couldn't wait for this one...Wendell know he was wrong for getting these actors off Craigslist ...hell Angie list could do better than that....
i feel like this: the TLC movie had the girls' songs, music videos, mock footage of ACTUAL footage that they filmed in real life, and the situations they had gone through in life whether it be relationships, sickness, or management were acted out almost EXACTLY the way it was in real life. WHY? because TLC and their family and friends were behind the movie. i feel like if Aaliyah's family and friends were behind this we would've had music, video reenactments, more details on relationships, and quality in the way they acted out scenes and the dialogue they used. it would've been like the tlc biopic, but it didn't have those things making it what it was. :/ all in all i think the movie was decent for what it was. i didn't keep it on my DVR for future watching, but i'd check it out if it was on and nothing else was on TV ya know lol
speaking of TLC did you catch the shade from vh1 at 10 p.m. they showed crazy sexy cool. and also tweeted that the Aaliyah movie should not have been made
See I knew it wasn't worth watching. Wendy sounded like she wanted to emphasize the negative parts of Aaliyah's life. Prior to this movie coming out she said time and time again that she wanted to go in depth with the R.Kelly situation. See this is what happens when you make a movie without the blessing the family.
Jazsmine Brown All she did was prove me right by coming out with this movie without the family's blessing. She was just trying to profit off of a deceased woman's life while tarnishing her memory.
Phyllis Glowing lol, she wished she was Aaliyah back in 93-94 so she could've been with him... I was wondering why doesn't she mention other parts of the movie???
Destiny Williams the best she could do back t was Biggie Smalls. Se looked more like a man then because she did not have those bowling balls on her chest.
Drumline 2 and now this Aaliyah biopic is 2 strikes at lead for this young lady. Wendy should be ashamed and I know the family is outraged. Missy never seen herself that light and skinny in her dreams back Then. Horrible casting. Aaliyah meant so much to many for them to do her biopic like that.
Hollering and dying at the same damn time Justinj did you really broke out to I like to singa about the moon-ah and the the june-ah and the spring-ah, You make my friggin night and I bid you goodnight sir!
Aww, you brought back some memories when you mentioned the owl in the cartoon from way back in the day lol, I had to like the video and thumbs up for that mention alone!
They are dragging lifetime on instagram. N I'm here for it. Lifetime gonna end up like 106 n park shut thee fuck down. That biopic was straight to vhs disrespectful.
Lil mama did play the hell out of left eye part I did too get goose bumps to be honest lil mama was the best in that movie...I did not feel this #aaliyahmovie was good. I didnt feel goose bumps either. Im so disappointed because my bestfriend who passed in August put me on loving aaliyah & r.kelly. so I was ready to watch this movie for her. So disappointed. May Aaliyah & My best friend Olivia rest in peace but your right as always @justin
Love how you keep it real in this video about the Aaliyah movie. I was ready to turn the channel within the first 10 minutes because none of the actors in this movie made me believe the characters they were portraying to be.
This movie gets a big fat F!! It was a struggle! A hurting! A travesty!! I ended up getting on my phone during most of it. The girl didn't look anything like Aaliyah, didn't sound like her, dance like her, act like her -- nothing! The acting was horrible, there was a lot of scenes with her just walking in and out shows, the wardrobe looked cheap, and at about 9:21pm I noticed the movie was sped up a little. Smh. The damn documentary they played after would've suffice cause this movie needs to never see the light again. Lifetime needs to just let it go! Let it goooo! But I will be watching that En Vogue Christmas special. Lol.
Spot on Review Bruh! Movie was terrible!!! And I hollered the bit about her looking like that Owl doing "I like to sing-a about the moon-a and a June-a and sping-a"Best description ever!
I believe the Aaliyah story is not finished, maybe because of legal issues involving the pilot and company he worked for. This project needed well known actors and should have been presented to us on the silver screen. I look forward to seeing Aaliyah's story told in the right way in its entirety. I love Angela Basset but Whitney Houston's story deserves to be presented on the silver screen as well. I say shame on our people in the entertainment industry that could have joined Angela Basset on this project to present it in the classy way that Whitney's legacy deserves. I say sit down somewhere for Bobbi (female version) wanting to turn this project into a complete joke by wanting to play her mother. Bobbi's life is a sequel to the Whitney Houston story.
Now Wendy stated that they couldn't use Aaliyah's real records due to having to get them approved and having to buy the music to use it so the girl did all the vocals on her own and When she song Back and Fourth I changed my TV cause those notes wasn't right and I felt like they were kinda ruining the legacy WE remember. People who grew up listening to Aaliyah that have kids now like me is pissed because I wanted to show my daughter why Aaliyah is crowned the Princess of R&B but instead this movie was not right it did not do Aaliyah's legacy ANY justice what so ever and EVERY1 involved was WRONG!!!!
OMG can't breathe!!! TEARS!!!! you tried it with the communion wine and the owl off the old cartoons boo 😂😂😁😅😅😄 all jokes aside though, Lifetime screwed up. When everybody thinks Aaliyah we think triple threat times a million especially when it comes to dancing. I didn't see that. They couldn't do that right but they did good with revealing details about her marriage with Kelly sigh 😒
I didn't watch the movie and I don't intend to. Wendy is so disgusting. Did she not get that the family didn't want the movie done? When Aaliyah was alive she and her family never openly addressed the R. Kelly thing and I see why they wouldn't see it as right to divulge the details of her life as she did not so when she was alive. Aaliyah obviously is dead and not here to defend herself so without the key figures in her life like her family, Missy, Timbaland, Damon Dash being involved and actually opposed to the movie and on top of that Wendy (loves dirt) Williams all producing it, you're going to get is trash and a movies based on speculation. The movie just could not represent the woman correctly with those factors. I wonder if Wendy is gonna talk about how she was dragged all over social media on her show tonight... sips tea.
I'll get to see it tonight but think about this, people. Wendy signed on as producer after they already started production. She probably saw it was a mess, and there was no chance it was going to be great, so the best thing they can do is make it a DISASTER. If it was just OK, it gets no press, no ones talking about it. I think this gets Wendy more press and brings more attention to her shoe. EVERYBODY will tune in to her show to see if she will talk about the negative reviews. She probably already saw it was a train wreck and decided to make it the biggest tray wreck possible from there.
They didn't even really go in depth on how close she was to missy & timberland either. Not to mention the fact that the woman who played missy had a short wig thrown on her head & a hat on top of that. I had so many problems with this movie & I'm so disappointed.
I feel like I might have been the only one to notice that they had her "grandmother" was somehow still around even though she died in 1991 but was she was around in like 1998 in the movie
Chile! That movie was $#*T!! The ONLY reason I watched was because my daughter wanted to see it.....and she wasn't too impressed either. It actually pissed me off because I felt like there was NO passion to where I even FELT that she embodied Aaliyah's persona. That damn Missy Elliot and Timbaland actor/actress......$#*T!! I made for damn sure that I stressed to my daughter that this was the UNAUTHORIZED biography. UGH!! I hate I even watched it, even though it was fun to "roast the dog shyt" out of the whole movie with my daughter, lmao!! I KNEW you were going to go AWFFFF!! #loveuJustinJ
I fucking hated the movie. I bet that Zendaya is happy as hell she did not do that movie. Where ever she is, I bet she singing"THANK GOD YOU BLEW IT, I THANK GOD I DODGED THE BULLET, I'M SO OVER YOU SO BABY GOOD LOOKING OUT!! I WANTED YOU BAD, I'M SO THROUGH WITH THAT CAUSE HONESTLY YOU TURNED OUT TO BE THE BEST THING I NEVER HAD OOOOOOH I BET IT SUCKS TO BE YOU RIGHT NOW!!!" The singing and dancing was horrible. Missy and Timberland!?!?! What in the hell? The little mixed girl with the blond hair?? I bet we will never see these people in movies again..Grand Opening...Grand closing..Your career is over, if not, it should be. Wendy Williams should be embarrassed but she got paid like Justin said and a bunch of people watched to see the foolishness and fuckery that was Aaliyah Princess of R&B. I understand why her family was pissed off and did not support this travesty. Did anyone catch the Whitney biopic commercial though??
Y'all crack me up tombout Wendell ctfuuuuu this video is awesome lmaooo He did look like Lafayette from true blood. Dawg this video is hilarioussssssssssssss
I'm 17 and I love Aaliyah. My sister is 13 and the same for her. Aaliyah's legacy still lives on and she died about 12 yrs ago not even close to 20 so your comment is just completely incorrect. Aaliyah will live on as long as young people like myself understand good music and amazing artists.
can you read? or are they not teaching that in public schools nowadays....i said "not really" as in, just a joke. lighten up. and i didn't take away from her legacy. just saying that they should have made the movie way back then when she was much more relevant
I did not like the movie. To address some of your points: 1. I also thought that the girls portraying Aaliyah were too light. But I looked over some Aaliyah images, and I see that she sometimes does indeed look that light (the color of the teenage Aaliyah portraying her); it's a lighting issue, but it does make me wonder how light she was. And, yes, the the creators having made some of the characters light-skinned, when they are not light-skinned in real-life, and made Timbaland and Missy Elliot slender, when they really were not, annoyed me. It's like the mindset of "All black people look alike." The original actress who was set to portray teenage/early 20-somethimg Aaliyah (Zendaya Coleman) is also seemingly as light as the actress who ended up portraying her (Alexandra Shipp). 2. I think that while Alexandra Shipp is not a great singer, she can sing (assuming that's her singing voice in the film). If she couldn't sing at all, the film would be worse. 3. You are correct that people often assume that gay men are pedophiles, and that there's a double standard there regarding R. Kelly being sexually interested in Aaliyah as opposed to if he were sexually interested in a 15-year-old boy. I wouldn't call R. Kelly a pedophile, though; a pedophile is someone who has a primary or exclusive sexual interest in prepubescent children. R. Kelly is perhaps an ephebophile (someone with a primary or exclusive sexual attraction to mid-to-late teenagers). That is, if he does not prefer adult sexual partners. 4. I think that Alexandra Shipp maybe did the best she could portraying Aaliyah; also, it's not like she had a good script to work with or was allowed to use Aaliyah's songs in the film. She's been beat up over this role; see time.com/3587271/aaliyah-biopic-alexandra-shipp-2/. So I'd rather not add on to that. And as for her not looking age 15, we need to keep in mind that some 15-year-olds look older than others. When I see pictures of 15-year-old Aaliyah, I see that she did look mature; she could have easily passed for age 18, and apparently did when she and R. Kelly allegedly got married.
I agree with Justin 100% because when it comes to biopic I am very particular about those type of movies, when and if you do someone's life if you ant gone do it right don't to it at all. Cause they didn't have the music nor the right ppl ,damn give me something. I loved Aaliyah but I wasn't feeling that and Wendy must need a new wig and just rushed the movie....lol
I learned nothing about Aaliyah. The only thing I got from the movie was her relationship with RKelly and Damon... nothing about her career or anything....it was just like one big love story
Great points you know i am white as can be and I love R&B i love it really is amazing it really was messed up it was the worst movie EVER!! I heard VH1 is making there own Aaliyah I love your points and it was very disrespectful to the family!! to her loved ones!! they didn't even want to do the movie!..R.I.P Aaliyah
Fix it Jesus!!!!! This movie was a the WORST!!I love your review. On it I scream and fell out dying laughing when u sang that owl song! Great review indeed I feel like u touch all the basics!
This was so horrible Wendy needed her wig snatched for good for co-signing with this mess! If the family didnt want to sign over the rights to the movie then don't do it. This is what her legacy is build upon her music. Not her marriage to R.Kelly! This is sad but funny at the same time! I tried so bad to like it. I'm deleting this off my DVR. The show they showed after the movie was he same story told before.
I didn't watch it because I knew it would be crap but after reading all of the horrible reviews on twitter and facebook I kinda want to see if the movie was just that bad. I saw the picture of the Missy character and I was stunned. A skinny, light skin missy elliott without one finger wave in sight.. I just couldn't deal 👋 Bye Wendy and Company!
This biopic was a fool! I fell asleep on it. I've been an Aaliyah fan since "Age ain't nothing but a number" I even got my mom on the bandwagon of her. But not honoring her as she well deserved is straight disrespectful to her legacy and her true fans! We long for her so much that we were willing to watch the movie. She deserved more than this! I don't blame the family for not allowing any of her music on the movie. Hopefully one day somebody will get it together#ShesOneinaMillion #RIPBabygirl
remember guys The Bling Ring was a movie on lifetime about a group of teens breaking in and robbing celebrities homes. BUT a theatrical movie came out with emma watson about the SAME exact crimes. so maybe we should keep our fingers crossed that we'll get that better aaliyah movie whether in theaters or on vh1. either way don't lose hope lol
Justin, Timbaland is going to go public about his feelings about the movie this week. He said so on his instagram. If you search on youtube search Aaliyah 1994 interview and you will get interviews where she talks about being really close to her family. Her and her mom were best friends and her brother as well. You can look up Aaliyah recording and it will show r kelly and aaliyah in the studio recording her debut, as the movie tried to do but made it all romantic . You can watch Aaliyah MTV Diary and Aaliyah Stripped specials on youtube and bet rock the boat behind the scenes and you WILL get a sense of who she was, how she interacted with family, friends, and her glam squad. Things that you barely if even got from this fail of a movie.
Also they got it wrong... Aaliyah sang "The one I gave my heart to" in 97 at the fundraiser not 2001. Aaliyah didn't have ombre hair in 2001 let alone before she went to the Bahamas... She had it in 2000. They mixed and meshed different Aaliyah eras and looks together... Got to give it up, she never performed that live. The mic idea they got it from the music video, but yeah... The whole movie was whack.
Yes the Whitney movie comes out January 17th and it looks horrible to lifetime needs to stop doing these kind of movies cause they suck just like when they did the Brittany Murphy one a couple months ago horrible. And the aaliyah one was awful
This "movie" was a travesty of the highest order. Thankfully, the ratings system doesn't actually work like people think it does. You have to have a Nielsen Box hooked to your TV for the ratings to count. With any luck, the Nielsen box people didn't watch. This "movie" needs to keep "moving."
YES YES YES!! IF that EVER HAPPENS, I'd like to see if she covers that shit in her own hot topics! Lol
And I know there are some or a lot of celebs that she crossed would happily participate in that production. That's right have all of her dirty laundry out in the open and then for everyone to say "Karma, smooches ;)"
Lmmfao The devil gave u this idea
Lmaoooooo
Lol! I need to read that book.
The girl looked like her choreographer was Dance Dance Revolution.

I'm on the floor dying

LMAO this girl said Aaliyah was gonna kick Wendy's ass at the crossroads. That shit had me hollering
"GIT CHO BIG CHEST ASS OFF ME!" LMAO!!!!!

He said" girl you failed, you gone have to go to summer school" lmaoo I love justin man
They should have respected her parents wishes and not do this movie, absolutley wrong for this. Wendell Williams should never produce another damn movie!
"#AaliyahMovie needs to go to summer school" I was laughing too hard! Justin you are funny.
Yasss Justin J I couldn't wait for this one...Wendell know he was wrong for getting these actors off Craigslist ...hell Angie list could do better than that....
Lmaoo senior play... Im dead
Right "I played Ray Charles...it was real fun"
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Everytime a black girl is pretty people try to distort it and make it seem like she was mixed with something.
A Damn shame! Colorism is REAL!
I think Alexandra is though.
i feel like this: the TLC movie had the girls' songs, music videos, mock footage of ACTUAL footage that they filmed in real life, and the situations they had gone through in life whether it be relationships, sickness, or management were acted out almost EXACTLY the way it was in real life. Justin had me in this office HOLLERING with this review!!!! I should've just waited til I got home. Too funny😭😭😭
He said come closer...nah get your big chested ass off of me.. 😂😂😂😂😂 Justin I'm too dead, like where do you get this stuff from.
He be clownin!! Lol!!

The owl comment😭😂 I screamed so loud I woke my husband up Justin I love u so much your opinion is the only one that matters.
Smart move for zendaya to not do the movie. Her reputation would've been fucked up.
Lifetime should have consulted with VH1 directors before putting this together.
I said the exact same thing, when you don't have the artist's music in the movie you're already starting out at a deficit.
As soon as I finished watching that movie I said "Justin about to roast this" and you came through!
That prayer & communion wine tho....lol!!! #ICant with you today Justin....#BlessIt
Love how you keep it real in this video about the Aaliyah movie. I was ready to turn the channel within the first 10 minutes because none of the actors in this movie made me believe the characters they were portraying to be.
You hit on something real....the colorism and fat shaming...BOTH are issue Wendy appears to struggle with. Explains a lot.

They've been replaying the movie actually lol. You'll eventually catch it and it'll bore the mess out of you. Along with irritate.
Great video justin
Since when was Drake her older brother? ? #Lawd #fixitjesus
Omg im hollering.... you got a new subscriber. Lol
I googled and found that R Kelly was 27 yrs old at the time he married Aaliyah at 15. He definitely knew better.
somebody needs to do this right. Aaliyah deserves to be remembered in a better light.
Aaliyah was a very energetic playful person. She was very shy at all. You should check out MTV The Dairy of Aaliyah =)
I'll get to see it tonight but think about this, people. Wendy signed on as producer after they already started production. Its was a mess... I totally agree with you. TFS. Blessings. Doll

JUSTIN FUCKING JAY'S WITH AN S! You had me dying talking about she looks like that old Owl Johnsen cartoon!!!!!! LMAO I'm putting you in time out!

Y'all crack me up tombout Wendell ctfuuuuu this video is awesome lmaooo
He did look like Lafayette from true blood. Dawg this video is hilarioussssssssssssss
I am mad at the fact that a iphone was shown in the movie , I was like really bitch , really ?
He had me lmao when he said the guy who played rkelly look like layfette from true blood
Close to 24k 🙌
Not the cartoon owl, NOOOOO!!!!!
LOL XD
I'm 17 and I love Aaliyah. My sister is 13 and the same for her. Aaliyah's legacy still lives on and she died about 12 yrs ago not even close to 20 so your comment is just completely incorrect. Aaliyah will live on as long as young people like myself understand good music and amazing artists.
can you read? or are they not teaching that in public schools nowadays....i said "not really" as in, just a joke. lighten up. and i didn't take away from her legacy. just saying that they should have made the movie way back then when she was much more relevant
I didn't see it. Aaliyah was my favorite artist at the time of her death but I was out of town this weekend. Sounds like I didn't miss much.
I did not like the movie.
To address some of your points:
The Bailey agency 😂😂😂
I learned nothing about Aaliyah. The only thing I got from the movie was her relationship with RKelly and Damon... nothing about her career or anything....it was just like one big love story
Great points you know i am white as can be and I love R&B i love it really is amazing it really was messed up it was the worst movie EVER!! I heard VH1 is making there own Aaliyah I love your points and it was very disrespectful to the family!! to her loved ones!! they didn't even want to do the movie!..R.I.P Aaliyah
Was that the little girl from the Damon Wayans/Tisha Campbell comedy (forgot the name of the show)
You talking about My Wife and Kids?
Bailey agency. .. lmfaooo Hahaaa
01/04/2020, this came up in my suggestions and I’m here for it. It was traaaash, lmao. PENDY knew better!
Bruh, I would love to see you your own show on TV
LMMFAO @ Her face was beat, but them beats wasn't coming out of her throat!
all i know that lifetime better not do a 2pac movie omg i swear i will shut shit down lol im still mad at flex as michael jackson
Is there a live show tonight?
Wendy have to talk about this on Monday.. she talks about everybody else and wow oh my jesus...Wendy nooooooooo lol!
I Remember That Bio Movie It Was Horrible, Lol That Girl Couldn't Sing At All 🤦♀️😣😡☹😔😑 R.I.P. Baby Girl ❤
"We are asking you whoever this girl is to touch her rhythm.........touch her credit because I know her credit score is plummering" DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That little girl has curly red hair i was so lost
Shit pissed me off!!!!!
The whole time me %&my mom's was watching it I was like "OMG this is really bothering my spirit JustinJ voice " LOl!
I just want all producers and writers on this movie to give me there location because I want to fight.
The Bailey agency ⁉️ 😂😂😂😂😂
Justin, she had a dance double too!
Justin,
Timbaland is going to go public about his feelings about the movie this week.
I don't know which biopic was worse. This or The Man in the Mirror? Isn't there supposed to be a Whitney Houston movie coming out?
Yes the Whitney movie comes out January 17th and it looks horrible to lifetime needs to stop doing these kind of movies cause they suck just like when they did the Brittany Murphy one a couple months ago horrible. And the aaliyah one was awful
Oh he been doing this for awhile chile good for him, I’m just now seeing the movie and it wasn’t giving what it was supposed to
This movie was a damn disgrace to Aaliyah's memory. The music was wrong casting was wrong I can't! The Marvin Gaye music NO!!!
I Bowed My Head For This Prayer.. Lmfao
u are the best bro!
When I was watching the movie I knew this was coming! Yes!
