I live in NJ and watched the coverage of this Tornado on TV. Never since I’ve been alive have we ever received a PDS Tornado Warning. Very scary world we live in now!!!
Come down to Tennessee, my family (My family and I live in MI btw) comes down here. I got a Flash Flood Warning in August of this year and I think again in March of this year too.
I was in this storm and witnessed the entire event! I got a tornado warning in my county too and it was insane witnessing all the alerts and the progress of the storm.
I was taking refuge underneath my desk in my room as well as praying for me, family, and friends. This was probably the most scariest moment in my life
This was one of the scariest experiences I ever had. I work at a restaurant next to Neshaminy Mall in Bensalem Bucks County, and we were being let out early. I had heard all the other tornado warnings in that past hour, but they were all north of us. Then while I was in the waiting room at my restaurant, I got a tornado warning for us. I am dead serious when I tell you that the moment I looked up from my phone informing of the warning, I see all of this debris swirling over the mall. I run in and yell tornado. It was very loud, and our power went out, but luckily it just missed our restaurant. I reported it to NWS because am a Skywarn spotter, and shortly afterwards they upgraded the warning to a confirmed tornado, but not a PDS. Later on, we found out that it ended up being the worst tornado of the day, and EF-3 that destroyed the Faulkner Car Dealership.
"a large and extremely dangerous tornado is on the ground.... to protect your life..." wow you dont hear that in the north-east everyday; then you look up the videos for this tornado it was a monster mile wide wedge, that you expect in the midwestidmest
I’m pretty sure this is the day I remember. I’m in Middlesex County in NJ. No real damage here besides tree limbs and maybe a shingle or 2, but it was a hell of a storm. The EAS that came through on my tv was the wildest one I’ve ever heard with all the tones and such.
There was another hook from a different storm that was coming towards me. The hook died over my town and formed again when it moved out of my town. That storm went on to produce 2 tornadoes.
i have a 8W handheld for emergencys and every once in a while i bring my laptop and one of my SDR's to work with me, when we were first tracking the storm that hit Mullica Hill (my work is roughly ~5 miles away), the radar looked like the hook of that was going to hit the town i live in (Pennsville, exit 1 of I95, I295, US-40, NJTP), but it moved ~5 miles east, the cell formed outside the town of Salem, then moved ~8 miles north. i am not taking away from the fact that those who lost their homes and property, but those tornados up north were EF-1/EF-2, Mullica Hill, and parts of West Depford (people in NJ are like "what the F**K is a tornado) got slammed by a EF-3 that tracked for ~10 miles. please keep everyone in your thoughts and prayers! NOAA in mount holly was broadcasting nothing but alerts
Last night I watched News 12 and I didn’t think it was gonna be that bad. Luckily, we only had downpours and we’re from the northeastern tri-state. I was stunned that an EF1 hit Waretown where we lost my grandmother’s shore house from Sandy and I’m still anguished today. I hate this scary world we’re living in!! Scary shit!!!
I’m based around the tri-state area of Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. The weather radio feeds come from several different sources, the main one being noaaweatherradio.org.
Yea I got a shit ton of alerts and the last time I caught one on the tv was about four years ago but we never got any rain I was in south Jersey so It just missed us
Imagine if you turn the TV on and see that and the tv announces its making a be line for possibly your house. I don't have a basement shoot, can happen at any moment fr
@@tntplumbing24 there were a bunch that day. Most were relatively weak, but the most powerful was an EF-3, which is incredibly rare for NJ. Only 3 or 4 have ever happened in NJ since record keeping began in 1950.
“This is a particularly dangerous situation. Take cover now!” something I never want to hear again. Actually... Never wanna get a PDS TOR-E.. actually wait, I don’t think we ever had a Tornado emergency during that storm. Only 9/1. Never want to get a PDS TOR again.

I was following this storm all day on my NOAA weather radio. Go figure. I hope everyone affected is OK & that there wasn't much damage. 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️
No deaths or injuries- at least so far
That same storm in its early stages gave me a 63 mph wind gust and thankfully no tornado in my area.

We almost I MEAN ALMOST had a Tornado Emergency issued on July 29th for the Mount Holly Forecast Area
NJ had a tornado emergency during the remnants of ida. Bucks County was under a Flash Flood and Tornado Emergency
