Hello Rios Family Garden, I'm glad it helps. I'm like that, too. Some years, I get lots of it, and last year, I was late growing it. I'm going to try it again.

Hey Bear, thanks for sharing! Last year was the first time I was able to grow any corn! It wasn't a lot, but it was something!

The top third of the cob has kernels that grow crappy plants. The bottom third of the cob has kernels that grow crappy plants. If you save your own corn seed to plant next years crop always save seed from the middle third of the cobs.

HELLO Clarence, I normally don't answer questions like that because I don't know the climate because I'm not there. But since we live close, I will answer. I believe you are good to do so. It has been cool here, too. I got to get my corn in now, too. So let's us both get going, man. Thanks for the reminder. I'm trying to get it in by this weekend. Thanks for watching.

Hey Clarence. Not Bear..but you should be good to go. If there's doubt with your variety just grab a variety that's good for cooler zones like zones 5,6.
A good one that I grow (zone 7b) last to be harvested in October is Golden Bantam. A corn hybridized years ago for cooler zones (4,5,6). Since it's much warmer here, it comes up quickly and grows well even when Temps start to drop. Planting this way allows us to have at least 3 different plantings per season.
