    How to knurl the outer diameter of cylinder

      Hi Shekar,
      There is no built-in function in Catia to form a knurled surface. You can try to define it as a cut and sweep operation manually. You can check from here: th-cam.com/video/F02iayIRD94/w-d-xo.html

    And what about if i want to 3d print the piece?? cause when i put it in the slicer the thread or tap doesnt show in the piece either...

      Hi Hector
      You need to model it manually. There is no automatic way for it. You need to draw the thread cross section on a plane vertical to the outer surface. Then create a helix. Finally sweep the profile using helix curve as a guide.

      Or you can try another software solution such as Fusion 360 which has this automated. CATIA V5 got outdated regarding Threads design.
