Loving it. I loved the jazzy improvisation the dead would mix in to their already jazzy influenced jamming. Especially the early 70s, late 60s stuff. ❤
@@LostMyDayJob th-cam.com/video/95_Yp6QdGpc/w-d-xo.html i think your segment starts at the 5:11 mark from this recording. Either way, i love your selections and thanks for takin the time to do this.
Thanks Helbit! I haven't listened to a whole lot of Midnites stuff myself but what I have heard is pretty cool. I'll see if I can chase down that show.
Looks like that show was 2/2/82, but I can't seem to find any sources for it - though a number of shows from that year do circulate including both 1/30/82 and 2/5/82. You got a tape of 2/2/82 sitting in a bin somewhere by chance? Lol.
Hey thanks for the heads up! Do you happen to know the approximate timestamp in that 6-22 version where this section starts? I just did a quick scan of it myself and couldn't find a matching section in that one, but I easily could just be missing it. If this one is mis-labeled I'm sure John would want to know!

Blastoff! Love the jazzy jams from 73-74, it took them no time to vault into the cosmos. What a goddamn rhythm section
Yeah, Jerry & Keith sure knew how to comp! Oh, you mean... well. 😄 They _all_ lead, as well as listen to & complement each other. So great. 🙌

@@LostMyDayJob I've got a friend in Crofton , he may have it . Should call him anyway.
As long as we're talking Midnites, the show at Kabuki Theater S.F. in... '82, pretty sure - was _great_ - would love to hear this (again)!
sonic wizardry at its best
not to be a jam nazi, but the 5th jam is from the playin on 6-22-73

How dope is this: reading Bukowski’s “Women” to its entirety drinking domestics fireside whilst this in the background
