For the most part the public is rejecting this truck for its 4 cylinder turbo engine. Toyota made a big mistake by dropping the V-6 engine. Sales are up on the Nissan Frontier Pickup.People want a V-6 engine option. Sales of the Ford Ranger are going to go up their 4 cylinder turbo has over 300 HP. Also Ford has. I have a 2024 Tacoma, SR5. Like many other dedicated Taco owners, it’s way over-priced and the re-engineering “thrills” reduced the practical use. If you intent to tow a trailer with an SR5, good luck finding a brake controller. Yes. It can tow over 6,000 pounds. But, there is no pigtail adapter for an after market brake controller!!!!! It gets much better: From what I am reading, SR5 OWNERS CANNOT EVEN GET AN OEM TRAILER BRAKE CONTROLLER AFTER THE PURCHASE.
