As much as i like Edd he did get kinda annoying at times. Ed was def my favourite. He was the closest to child-like innocence in the show but kinda went too far in some places. At the same time it was never to an annoying extend. Double D would act too much like the typical school nerd stereotype especially during season 5
omg I remember this moment 1:44 it had me LAUGHING as a kid. I don't why it tickled me so hard. maybe its just how he casually walks up to the car gets in and starts it. lmfaoo this show was god tier.

These two were such a married couple you could totally tell the creator and one of the storyboard artists shipped them!
Like in the episode where the kids think Rolf’s house has been taken over by aliens. Jimmys freaking out and Eddy grabs a lawn chair drinks hot chocolate to watch. While the other kids are trying to decide what to do it suddenly pans over to Eddy asking why Double D won’t fetch him marshmallows while Edd just stands there with his arms crossed and shaking his head like an annoyed wife! 😂

There is actually some evidence to suggest that this couple is canon.
First, Eddy's brother refers to Double D as "Eddy's Girlfriend".
Second, there is a scene in "Your Ed Here" where Kevin literatelly forces Eddy to KISS Double D in public.
Seems like the bullies are the first ones to catch up.

No the reason Eddie’s brother called DD a girl was because when kids in the 2000s were little everyone thought DD was a girl for some reason or at least I think
Technically Kevin blackmailed Eddy into kissing Double D publicly, lest he reveals Eddy’s middle name to everyone. So It wasn’t of his own volition.

Tbh what about the numerous times Eddy's dressed in drag and pulled it off somewhat, or the end of season 5 when he just straight up says he's done with chicks. He kept Double D's valentine from that one special, too. They show it but it's super quick. I believe they show it in the same episode that he says he's done with chicks.
There's a lot of body language in season 5, too but it's too subtle.
Kevin and Double D could be best friends if Double D was around Eddy that much. They occasionally get along pretty well without him.
