If Gravenberch gets injured, Jones and Endo can step in. Trent can also play there while Bradley comes in a Right back.

I think we should buy a central back this January instead of LB or CDM as priority
It's better to have that as we can Rotate in Midfield much better than defense
We need a more reliable CB to really rotate with Ibou and VVD
I think Jones, Macca, Endo, Szobo and Elliot can sustain the midfield and Gomez, Tsimikas and Robjo can sustain those places till next summer.

If there's truth to us signing nobody again in another transfer window under Slot there has to be questions asked about this ownership. I'm sorry but there's several factors to this. Its a serious lack of ambition. The contract situation is an absolute disgrace when Arne and the lads we have at the club are doing great things on the pitch, it's overshadowed by the CONSTANT contract questions every press conference, we had excuses all Summer. We know we need cover for Gravenberch if we lose him at any point this season we are in TROUBLE. We need a proper number 9. Jota injury prone, Nunez is literally garbage, Robbo past his best and Trent being noncommittal to the club publicly giving confidence to Madrid. What have Hughes and Edwards been doing since coming in. Questions have to be asked once again over the ambition this ownership has. Nonexistent squad depth.
You are top of the English league and top of the European league. What exactly do you want from the hierarchy of the club? They doing things right. They will release resources when there is value. Do not be ungrateful supporters. Before the ownership you went three decades without the league and pushed the all conquering City hard on a few seasons. We not Man Utd just spending money for the sake of it. Relax
@thabangaugustinehlalele what do I want? It's exactly that kind of talk why teams end up falling short. We have been in a very similar position a couple of times before top at Christmas still in other competitive (as UCL format now changed in comparison to other seasons). I want this ownership to show the ambition to get us over the line instead of relying on what is a nonexistent squad depth for the amount of games to play in a season. I want the ambition to be shown. Get us over the line. Back the manager. Show us an intent to do it.
What success we've had has genuinely been IN SPITE of this ownership not because of. Huge difference between over achieving with sell to buy no ambition and wanting to achieve the biggest things in world football which our club should be doing. Jurgen absolutely did overachieve and you are a fool to think any different. The excuses from people LIKE YOU are the "B b b but they expanded Anfield" brigade when it was done for afew reasons in reality, 1, that pays for itself over a length of time anyway and 2, it's more long term revenue for this ownership. All about using us as a cash cow that's all it's ever been and their other sporting ventures prove that.

The winning we have done is masked over by the brilliance of Klopp and Slot and NOT whatever the rubbish our owners are doing. As for you saying they will release resources when there is value, the contracts of Salah, VVD and Trent are the spine of our team, they DO have value yet nothing is done. In 2018 & 2019 we had a good team and they never backed us resulting in a horrific 2020 title defence which almost made us come 5th if Alisson OUR GK didn't score a header against West Brom. Then in 2021 we had another QUADRUPLE WINNING TEAM but guess what? No backing again and in 2022 we went to the Europa league cuz our team got burnt out. We are sick of us being in our prime and lose out on trophies YEAR AFTER YEAR. OPEN YOUR EYES
Brantwaite is a good player. VAR checks that take longer than 2 mins should be automatically awarded as its a kill joy to the fans
Trent will just be changing jobs just like the majority of people do in their career.
He must have enough money to sink a battleship...so it's not just about money.
He's been great for us but all players are replaceable and can fit into the style of play that the Manager wants. It's a team game.
Also the Spanish league is nowhere near the quality of the Prem and you could play in it for a long, long time.

We were left in limbo all summer window and as we know the winter window brings inflated prices so i dont expect any new faces coming in .

They still don't have people drawing the lines that understand the 3 dimensions of humans or how they move! For Gakpo's disallowed goal the vertical from Nunez's shoulder intersects with the horizontal from his left heel!

No signings in January. The players coming back from injury, two contracts signed giving the fans a boost and enforced use of Endo and McConnell et al will be the bottom line.

The problem with semi automated is that it is semi .If it was totally automated there would be no QUESTION about anything. Get rid of the human eliment. You cant argue with a machine.
I really love Craig's channel and how decent a guy he is. I love his passion for LFC. I do however, disagree with Craig on his view on transfers. No club can buy players in case someone gets injured. It's not feasible. Liverpool play with 3 midfielders every game. I believe there are currently 8 midfielders in the squad? Whilst it would be desirable to upgrade the quality of 2 or 3 of these players, it's very difficult to do this in January.
There is also the option to bring Stefan Bajectic back from his loan spell now that Pep Lynders has been sacked. It would be bringing back a player who most fans thought was going to be the next big thing.

In simple terms if someone comes available at the right price I think we should push the button. I don’t see any players out there who are making a case that can’t be ignored, there is no Jude out there. Davies is an option, but I suspect that would summer thing. As for Trent, he is looking to go to Madrid for less money and to become a bit part player in the team, his mistake if he does it.
This is why TAA is stalling on signing an extension. He wants confirmation the owners are not going to play us around and show genuine ambition
Nunez has until the end of the season to prove his worth. Otherwise, he's off in the summer

I think that the reason there hasn't been any transfers between us and Everton, has nothing to do with the divide, but more to do with none being goid enough.

So again and again and again (3 times we lost the title because of the owners) we need a midfielder NOW because of the reasons that you have mentioned!!!!, zubumendi will be great as will be covered for the summer as well, Craig, they need to leave now, the bid obstacle for this club are not the teams around the world but the Owners !!!!! . This Club needs Owners who are ambitious want to win.
PLAYERS will be coming in in the JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW at least 2 anyway..

the wages aren't exactly a problem. It's gonna cost 40m+ to get a new LB. So on a 5 year deal that is 8m a season Liverpool are saving, so the 1st 150k of his pay checkbis already covered.
I don’t know if anyone will be signed I wouldn’t be annoyed if no one is signed because prices are always inflated in January but if good deals are available then why not

Which is why if we win the title it'll be in spite of, not because of the clubs stinginess. They'll be one or two max in the summer.
I just don't see any signings in January. They will have to back Slot in the summer or it will become pointless having a good manager who can't sign players. It's not his fault that will be down to Hughes and his mob. You can't just keep on signing young players because it fits your budget. You need some experienced players to gel with the youngsters. We definitely need a good CB and good CM because the second half of the season is going to be tough and someone in the league most likely Arsenal are going to throw down a challenge. So we need to be prepared for it.
With semi automated offside system operating in places like the World Cup ( Oman ) Not being able to have it supposedly the best league in the world should say a lot of where we are.

Nunez plays as a striker and every striker depends on his teammates assist. When I watch the games the guy does a lot of the dirty work and no one assists him.
After Darwin wins the league with Liverpool….because he’s a big part of this success I hope he moves on and goes to another team that appreciates him more.

Nah actually a lot of Liverpool fans only care about dribbling. They don’t care about hard work, all they want to see is technical ability. Diaz misses a ton and he doesn’t need to do the dirty work or drop back but the fans are still behind him just because of his dribbling. Remember how the fans were on Szobo’s back near the end of last season even though he was running through walls for the team? They were pissed he wasn’t dribbling through the middle like Zidane and making through passes.

I really don't see them signing anyone in January and if they do it's going to be a player outside the 200 players we have been linked with. Nunez will start to score goals when he realises next year he is in last chance saloon. I don't think it will be enough to save himself because again the strikers they are interested in won't move in January. The only one I can see happening is Pedro from Brighton. If the price is right they will sell because that's what they do.
I've said it a million times before when it comes to business FSG along with Edwards and Hughes those guys are VERY VERY BAD for business, simply because we had an opportunity to sign at least 3 players in the previous transfer window and it had at least a time period of 60 days and guess what we ended up signing a player thet we're not going to use(Federico Chiesa is one the brightest footballers l follow) ,but we were not making any good business, so with the upcoming transfer window that will have 30, will it be possible to make signings, because we've had 60 days prior to that and made only one signing. Dermot Callager is a straight talker, but sometimes his verdicts are not accurate

Why did Nunez and Endo perform reasonably well under Klopp but have regressed or been marginalised under Slot? Greedy FSG will never going to spend. My head says Liverpool should not win anything and earn money FSG. But my heart says Liverpool should win everything. I think Edward and Hughes should be sacked because they couldn’t sort out contracts situation for TAA, Salah and VVD. They are just waste of money. Nunez is not the player we want he had his chances. If Slot keeps on playing him he would cost Liverpool dearly.

Look I'm a Liverpool fan and love the content you provide but I just think the desperation in the 'we need to make signings in January' could be an easy cop out excuse used IF we don't win the league. We could sign another DM yes but whether we like it or not we have options and that's probably why we turned down 15m for Endo in the last window. There's a want for a new LB yes but why would that be on a high priority list when we have two LBs available? Yes the quality isn't there as it has been but we still have the position filled/covered.
