Need to practice with using conventional reels. Getting too many birds nest 😂. The last big fish I caught from dunking was a 4-5foot black tip shark 🦈. I wish it was over 50lbs + ulua but it's pretty satisfying to actually almost land it to the shore. The hook line broke off when it was already in the shallow water with about 6 inches deep on the rocks and pretty much dragging the weight of shark but good thing the line broke because I don't want to touch that shark anyways. Still waiting for a bigger ulua but one day it will happen.
thks for watching and sharing...I learned by simple..small casts to get the feel.of the rod reel and line...small cast maybe 20.yards .than 30 than 40 n higher..feel the line on the spool or side plate....good luck

Sorry I answered it thinking it was dunking..but in whipping if the lure snags..just got to break it, thus the glove in my left hand I use it and wrap the braid 3x around my palm,and than I can break the braid. usually it will break above the swivel

When you tied the hook line to the swivel, it looked like a improvised clinch knot not a uni.

is the reason you use mono because youre afraid braid will get cut on the rocks/reef?
Mondo Nando mono has more stretch..n better on abrasion..thks for watching..
