These guys have such a beautiful energy and this song just says so much. They're not just masterful musicians, they're inspiring, lovely humans.
Man. That song sounds great stripped down. Soul.
I LOVE Jon Foreman & Switchfoot. I've been lucky enough to see them twice in concert. They are the most humble, raw and honest band I've ever heard.... Switchfoot = Love. :)
+Andee Morante ive seen them in concert too and it was pretty awesome! i love these guys!
+Freedom Fighter (TheKillingJoke) They're so humble and pure in their music, and in general, and that's why I love them. I was able to give Jon a ^5 too =)
Their music and songs are just awesomely inspiring!
Para mim, é a melhor banda internacional de música Cristã!!!
i guess it is kind of off topic but do anyone know of a good website to watch new tv shows online ?
@Edison Morgan i would suggest flixzone. You can find it by googling =)
can't wait !!!there coming to my school today!!
I'm kickin' up the pieces
I'm trying out adhesives
I'm trying to fix a place that feels broken
All my words they fail me
My voices don't avail me
I'm trying to say the hope that's unspoken
Is this the world you want?
Is this the world you want?
You're making it
Every day you're alive
Is this the world you want?
Is this the world you want?
You're making it
The world feels so malicious
With all our hits and misses
Feels like we're in the business of rust
It's when I stop to listen
All the moments I've been missing
I finally hear a voice I can trust
Is this the world you want?
Is this the world you want?
You're making it
Every day you're alive
Is this the world you want?
Is this the world you want?
You're making it
Every day you're alive
You change the world
You change the world
You change the world
Every day you're alive
You change the world
Honey, you change the world
You change my world
You start to look like what you believe
You float through time like a stream
If the waters of time are made up by you and I
If you change the world for you, you change it for me
What you say is your religion
How you say it's your religion
Who you love is your religion
How you love is your religion
All your science, your religion
All your hatred, your religion
All your wars are your religion
Every breath is your religion yea
Is this the world you want?
Is this the world you want?
You're making it
Every day you're alive
Is this the world you want?
Is this the world you want?
You're making it
Every day you're alive
You change the world
You change the world
You change my world
Every day you're alive
You change my world (You change my world)
Honey, you change my world (You change my world)
You change my world, yeah, yeah, yeah
Everyday you're alive You change the world... ♫
This band
You have helped to change the world thank you
God bless you guys!!!!!!!!
Love this!
love it boys !
man Jon hits a high C on that last part...crazy!
Yeah! I was wondering what note that was and I thought it kinda sounded like a high C. To put that into perspective, it's the same note that Bruno Mars sings in his song "When I Was Your Man" on the line during the bridge when he says "I was wrong." Pretty crazy that a guy with a raspy voice like Jon can still get up there.
yeah and a lot of it is feeling the passion in the moment...I'm basically a baritone, not much high end above an E or G above middle C, but when I've really been feeling it I've hit A's and even B's or C's, in a sort of belting head voice...it just seems if you are really feeling it you can hit notes higher than you thought you could.
dr05guitar That's pretty, cool, man. Yeah we've got a pretty similar vocal range. The highest I can go is a couple notes below C5. I've never been able to hit a clear, nice sounding high C, ever. Wish I could. What you say is interesting though, maybe it is all psychological. If you think you can't hit it, then you can't, but if you really feel it and get caught up in the moment, you just might be able to push yourself... but it's probably not good to try exhaustively. it would suck to get surgery on your vocal folds.
it all can depend on how your folds are feeling as well and what you've been eating or drinking. if you've been eating too many carbs before singing, you'll probably run into some difficulty. I don't think i've ever seen the extent of my range when i was in perfect condition to sing in a given moment.
yeah... I think it's definitely something to not push too much without good technique, and even then, your range is basically your range...you can expand it some and add a few notes but I think anytime your singing at extreme ends of your range you can probably open yourself to some damage, depending on how your technique is as well. A lot of it is good breathing and knowing how to use head voice as well, I believe. Sometimes I think I try too hard to just force notes out with chest voice, when it would probably suit me better to use head voice.
dr05guitar I agree. people talk about a mixed register, but I have no idea where to find it or how to do it. pretty much i feel like I'm singing in my chest voice all the time. I'm only 17 (and I really don't even know if this makes a difference) so my falsetto and head voice are very underdeveloped. i'm wondering if as I grow older, it will eventually get stronger and less breathy just because my vocal folds will be growing and strengthening. but like you said, it all comes down to technique, and the only technique I know as of now is to sing with your diaphragm, but beyond that I'm pretty ignorant.
Yes! True religion and faith has to be lived!
I met them they went to my school
this song legitimately makes me want to cry
you must be super gay
