Did they share the same set with OLTL? A lot of the indoor and outdoor sets look almost identical to the OLTL reboot

Not sure about same sets but they both shared the same studio. Neither show used the studio at the same time.

Michael E. Knight had some other commitment, and so they had Tad "on assignment" somewhere. I think they were hoping he'd eventually be available, but then the show was canceled.
