Cirque Mandingue

Guinean coumpany Cirque Mandingue were one of the three headline shows at the Roundhouse's CircusFest 2012, performing their breathtaking acrobatics show on the main stage.
They captivated UK audiences with their irrepressible energy, and their visit was a whirwind of activity that included everything from visits from the Guinean ambassador to impropmtu performances on Primrose Hill.
But underneath the glitz and the glamour, what was the reality of their lives? The summer after CircusFest, filmmakers Richard Michell and Rob Curry (who met the company while covering Circusfest 2012 for the Roundhouse) went to visit them in the Guinean capital, Conakry, to find out.
