To get a good IIPn, last stage should have good OIPn and high gain (to compensate if earlier stage IIPn is not very high ), that means earlier stage can have lower IIPn, as a trade off, earlier stage can get higher gain, right? Why First page says less gain at earlier stage and conflicts with NF interest of the cascaded system?

For the Noise figure calculation at NF1, Just to clarify, the 2.5 is it the noise factor? and the 4dB is the noise figure?
