In this video I hope to help you pick out your riding gear to race dirt bikes in hare scrambles or enduro events. It can be stressful buying all this gear because it is expensive, and you want to strike a good balance of feeling protected versus not wearing anything unnecessary. I prefer to be a bit more cautious and wear most of the available protection out there, but hopefully you can learn from me about what to gravitate toward and what to avoid. Cheers and thanks for watching!
    My Gear:

    Fasthouse pants and jersey
    Leatt 3DF 6.0 elbow guards
    Alpinestars Bionic Chest Protector
    USWE Hydration pack
    O'Neal Helmet
    Just about any gloves

One more thought…if you ride in the trees a lot…bark busters as seen in the video are fantastic. They will smash off of trees and branches without you even knowing it! Some prefer to ride with the lighter version but for me the version seem in the video is far preferred.

Thanks! I'm a new moto rider but raced MTB for about 20 years prior. This helped me

Really enjoyed this video and sensible content. Boots and helmets with googles just makes sense of course. I wouldn’t get on a bike without knee protection! Elbows…I ride in a variety of terrain…falling in rocks will only happen once without Elbows pads…LOL. Get em!
Really do your research on Chest Protectors. I bought the AlpineStar A10…super adjustable, breath like crazy and most important for me…really good rib protection….my main reason for buying it. Integrates well with my neck brace as well (Atlas). Anyway, much thanks for the content. Really enjoyed it.

Make your own Grip donuts using those koozies. I cut my own and been on my bike for 8 months. Agree on Alpinestar Boots and Their Roost Deflector. Quality stuff. I have Tech 3 boots now and the A-6 Roost Guard. Knee protection is Mobius. Good Stuff

Feet, ankles and shins take alot of hits - important to get a good motocross boot. Like he said, get the best boot and helmet you can afford. An added benefit to having good gear is that you will ride with more confidence.

cut your handlebars down 3/8"-1/2" on each bar end!
