Great wee key peter, i have one similar , which i use with my qcx when iam bicycle portable. Cw is great, and i always slow down for everyone who needs a qso. Cheers mate, 73 zl3xdj
Excellent video, I'm interested in vhf uhf cw and would be grateful if you could do a review of 2m - 70cms amplifies. Iv seen one that you advertise the Toptek PA-85V VHF Amplifier and keen to replace my 40 od year old microwave modules amp
Silly question, probably - in the intro, there's a large vertical behind you, with a little stub antenna on a spur to the right. What is that antenna for - matching? - I have that little Moonraker paddle that slides out of the metal case, waiting for use - if it ever stops raining on my 'play-day'!
I was a bit doubtful when I saw this, btw I don’t do CW yet but making steps to do so, 😳anyway seeing this I thought…nah ! Too fiddly but when you gave two demonstrations I changed my mind…. I thought of the stealth that spy’s would go to in WW2 to transmit ( recommend a good film, Eye Of The Needle, Donald Sutherland is the baddie 🫣 ) and if you can get out… all the fantastic equipment we can choose from nowadays…whaow… So thank you for the demonstration Peter best wishes to everyone.73. 💙
I just built this paddle. Very easy build, high quality parts, works very well. I keep it in an empty pill bottle for travel. I love it.
Great to hear!
Looks good. With small paddles I worry it won't be stable enough to stay put during use. Especially with an excited operator--"ooh, Bhutan!"

It’s an 18MHz add on for the 4BTV vertical. I covered it in a Video 2 or 3 years ago.
