Tireds them out! Bahahahahahahahaha! A new word. I’ve got my Sonne Farms slappy and my Storla Station shirt on! I’m helping! Hey Jeff! Hauling ‘em in that SOONER trailer! Woooohooo! I’m Sooner born and Sooner bred and when I die I’ll be Sooner dead! Good lookin’ beevo claves! I can see you! Your brown skin shining in the sun! You got your hair slicked back and those Wayfarers on, baby That Arrowquip is as handy as a pocket on a shirt and that baby is one heck of a bull! All done weaning and boys, I’m tired. Brain outstanding in his field! And I didn’t blink. As always, thank you for sharing your hard work feeding folks! Storla Station
Great video Cole. A wise old farmer once said never wean calf’s on one side of the house with the cows on the other side of it. Can’t get any sleep for weeks.
That's the easy/best way to handle cattle, less stress for cattle and staff and most of all Brian. The brisket bar looks a useful feature. I've not seen one in any handling system in the UK.
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. Great teamwork compliments to all of you. Dad. Cole. Jeff. My compliments to you all for the way you take care of your herd. Excellent herdsmen. Your calf’s look great. Nice sturdy animals. You raise some great stock. I can see why people come to you for their herd animals. You all do a great job of herding and splitting off your calf’s and such. You make it look easy. Which it is not. Brian. Good song of the day. Has nice music. Thanks. Never seen the magnet thing before. Interesting way to treat the cow. Hope it works for the cow. About it for now I guess. You all take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything Sonne’s. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Wow, calves are looking GREAT guys! and that bull calf is going to be one hefty, beautiful big boy! And omg.... the never ending bawling can drive ya crazy. Im always very grateful that our home is far enough away that we dont hear them all the time!
We had a big magnet on our feed truck and it was pretty amazing how much metal it would catch. We also put a magnet in every cow which at the time was common for all dairy operations. Your calves look great! You must be putting Miracle Grow in the water? Just kidding... don't try it 🙄🤔
I love you guys! You can tell you really care about the critters as more than just a paycheck… you do more than the minimum requirements…you care about their wellbeing and health as well as the end product to us consumers - give them all the best start as possible :) thanks for helping feed America (and maybe other countries) we appreciate you in our house!!
I love your dog Elly, she is very close in nature to one I had a while back. I miss my Elsa but love to see Elly. Give her a treat and pet for me. thanks
Love the way you guys take care of your livestock. Very impressive. On another note you should do another giveaway…a day on the farm with the Sonne’s. Doesn’t that sound awesome?!
I like the story about the roaming calf's and placing the barrier to redirect the path, total genius. Anyway, I thought you insert the magnet into the throat so the metal doesn't get into the stomach? Once in the stomach I don't think it can pass...
Always enjoy watching you work cattle, everything is set up to minimize stress. We decided years ago to put a magnet in each heifer at breeding age for extra insurance against hardware disease, seemed to eliminate problems going forward.
I found a great spot for Cole. We were out to Kananaskis Country (Alberta) yesterday to see the fall colours. We came across the Honeymoon Creek Campground. I thought of you and Tiffany right away. The scenery was fantastic. However, there might be snow on the ground by your wedding day. . . . after all, it is the Rocky Mountains. 😊
It is so amazing all the work you do and the care you put into all your animals. Every time I watch your videos I become more impressed. Whenever I sit down to have some beef, from a hamburger to a steak, I give thanks for farmers like you. I just wish it was from Sonne Farms.❤️
Aww, Ellie is so sweet🥰 That Arrowquip handling system is slick! Where are the Hereford heifers? I'm guessing the hope is that the magnet helps the cow's GI system pass the metal on through & out (?) So if she starts to regain weight, that's how you know it worked (?) Outstanding farmers, indeed 💕💕
The magnet grabs onto the metal and keeps the metal from moving . Sometimes a magnet will come out but most stay inside to catch other metal if the cow swallows more.
My Dad was a butcher and he used to bring the magnets home for us girls to play with when he processed them. It was a small processing plant where they made lunch meats and hot dogs. It was interesting to go and watch them make all these things. They had a cold room where ladies sat there and skinned the hot dogs for skinless dogs! They usually had a tiny line down the side where they started the skinning!
Great looking cows and calves!! Really enjoy your videos!! Very entertaining and also interesting to see the day to day life of the Sonne Farm family!! Keep up the great work and videos!!
Hey Cole, nothing wrong with living with parents as long as you’re working on the place. I ran the home ranch, dayworked until I married and moved across the road. Lived on the same place for 70 years. ……..
beautiful calf's.. was at our local fair and was watching 4 H show their beef cows. poor kid couldn't keep his big angus under control.. took him for quite a ride.
I love watching you work your calves with the Arrowquip way less stress and so much better for your calves. Do you have a scale in the alleyway of your Arrowquip wouldn't it pay for itself in a hurry knowing weights going out and calves coming off the pastures ?
Hi Cole! Well you guys have some real nice looking cows and calves there. It's a shame your favorite cow has the metal issue, I guess you just have those issues. We was doing a fall cut in a neighbors field, that he let us do for the hay, he had a fence wire that had gotten into the windrow. To make a long story short we didn't rake or bale that short 20 foot windrow section for the same issue your having. Good job on the herd separation and getting the round of shots. Thanks for sharing, have a wonderful weekend.
Cole I just harvested, well let's say picked, the last of our winter beans - all 12 plants from the veggie garden n they taste goob. 😆 Now it's time to get the next season in. The piccolo critters look amazing considering the dry conditions you've had. Hope the suspected hardware disease gal gets better. Awesome song of the day Mr Brian, I actually heard it on the radio about 1hr ago. 😊🙏💙🦘
Hay guys, I love that gate system ya all got there, it works like a charm, keep up the hard work and the videos, I love them and thanks for sharing your experience and the beef farming way of life, so wishing you all the best from PEI Canada,

As a farmer myself (dairy), when you think about it, take all the farming videos you can find and this is what feeding humanity is all about
You, Brian and Jeff work so hard taking care of your cattle! I really appreciate it. Thanks for all you do!
That’s a good looking Sweatshirt Hoodie.

What a bunch of beautiful calves….. Now the bawling babies start crying…And those mommas too…Only for a little while….
Wish Uncle Jeff was in more videos. He probably would warn up to the camera like his “ham” brother Brian. Brian has become a pro in the videos.
Uncle Jeff, the Guest Star of the show
Great video Cole and Brian

Nice vet supplies cooler. That arrowquip shoot is freakin awesome 👌 always great when Brian takes the camera 📷
Some real nice cattle, boys. I'm sure the mommas will appreciate the respite.
Loved all the Ellie shots. Such a cutie!
Start to see the grey hairs on her nose, it will be a sad day when Ellie isn't around anymore.
Thank you Sonne farms!!!
You guys every tried leaving them in the pasture and putting them in a corral basically we found it helps both animals with stress
Man, that chute system is slick!
Great video Cole, Jeff and Brian. I did not know that Cole was only 24...o my goodness, how young. Thank you guys so much
Thanks for sharing your vids with us!

Very interesting today...nice to see the Arrowquip working so well, looks like you've got it down 100% now. Hope your skinny cow perks up.

Or a day ride along during harvest or planting, or the day you sell cattle !
I'd enter that giveaway.
I like the story about the roaming calf's and placing the barrier to redirect the path, total genius. Anyway, I thought you insert the magnet into the throat so the metal doesn't get into the stomach? Once in the stomach I don't think it can pass...

Great job separating the calves from the cows guys

Good luck on beans and hope you all managed to get some good sleep over the calves crying xxx
It's likely like living next to train tracks, after a while you get used to the noise, at least it was for me.
I sure have learned alot in this video about the magnet and the treating of the water so they dont get rundown. Soooo interesting!
I’m not much of an advertiser. But that spray was amazing on my cows and calves this past spring.
New subscriber. I throughly enjoy your videos ! I just love your dad ... and that's all I have to say about that !
Another very good video

Brian you are a hoot!
Very efficient guys, you make it look easy.
Some enough Cole you and Tiffany will be doing your thing, farming that is.

Hey Cole, nothing wrong with living with parents as long as you’re working on the place. I ran the home ranch, dayworked until I married and moved across the road. Lived on the same place for 70 years. ……..
You 3 make separation process from Mama's Smooth & less traumatic for the calves...

The "SONNE GANG " is at it again.
Hi, where did you get that box that holds the vaccines and seringes? I really like the design and it looks pretty usefull
Having a great handling system is the difference between hating processing and loathing it entirely 😂
