I have been to a bilingual Easter Vigil that was well done, but took about 5 hours. It could have been celebrated in Latin, the universal language of the church.
It’s shameful for Pope Francis to say such things. Utterly shameful. But I guess not surprising. He is hurting a big portion of his own family. That’s called abuse and gaslighting.
Hopefully we will get a Holy Pope soon that will bring back the Latin Tridentine Mass to the Vatican and the world. Sadly all I have in my city is the Novus Ordo and I pray the Rosary daily for a Holy Pope.
I have given up on trying to understand the pope's unfortunate views on tradition and conservative views. It seems to point to a rigidity that stems from a lifelong bias & prejudice. It is quite un-Christian to bully a certain segment that values the TLM but favor alien ways. I don't think it is senility. It is really an evil soul or satanic influence that lurks behind this supposedly person of God. We continue to pray for his eternal soul! 🙏
The Lord is my Rock, my stronghold.... Rocks are RIGID. God is unmoved. Thats pretty rigid. The adjectives and adverbs used by the Pope display a predetermined attitude towards those clinging to the truth of Catholicism, truth given to the Church to defend and protect. I'm so happy I can't understand this dichotomy! If I did I'd be part of that mode of unthinking.
It’s more than a universal language, yes it’s true but more importantly it’s the Church’s mother tongue ❤ People always forget that. Let’s call it for what it is and add it to the conversation 😀🕊️
That quote from The Pope demonstrates a real prejudice against the majority of traditional Catholics for whom The Mass in that form fulfills their spiritual needs. Really disappointing
My guess is that someone from the US (Cupich?) is influencing the Pope with his Latin Mass comments. He needs to attend one of those masses over here and see the beauty of it. I am not saying this as someone who attends those masses just I appreciate the Latin Mass. I have attended a Latin mass and LOVED the silence and the REVERENCE which is absent from the other churches.
Yes, I have been to beautiful Latin Masses. I also love to hear in my own language Mass with simple Music that I can sing. Singing these simple beautiful songs lift my heart also.
Excellent discussions, thank you! This is a time in our Church's life that faithful Catholics, religious and lay, need to stand up and use their voices and to pray for a reform of the excesses that have arisen after VCII. That's not to say that VCII has led to all evil that we see in the Church, but it has led to an embrace of modern secular values in direct conflict with Magersterial teachings- and worst of all, apostacy at the highest levels of the Church.
The once bountiful vocations have gone because of this nonsense. Thank God the Dominican Sisters of Fanjeux have come to Ireland to teach traditional Catholic timeless ways. Please pray for the sisters and their dedication to the Catholic Church will draw fruitful vocations in our country, who were at one time missionaries throughout the world.
It's 2025 and catholics in the west still "gossipping" about TLM, whether to receive communion on the hand or tounge, etc. Every language is good and beautiful for the mass, and you could receive communion on the hand or tongue. You should travel more, to know more on how other catholics live the life in other country. Catholic is for the world (as it is a catholic = universal) , not only for the west (with a particular language, tradition, etc).... From a catholic in Asia.
There are many Asian Catholics at our local TLM in Perth, Australia. It is true that spirituality is very strong in places like Vietnam and the Philippines, however you must understand that unfettered extreme modernism, like uncontrolled immigration, has had very adverse consequences in the West. 100's of millions of Catholic souls lost from Jesus in the last 60 years , where the Old Rite will save a large number if it was permitted.
It’s not about what our preferences are- yours, mine, Western World, Asian World. Receiving kneeling and on the tongue was worldwide until (I think) the 1970s. And even then, it was supposed to be in certain circumstances to receive standing and in the hand. Why is it the norm now? What’s more reverent? When I go to the Novus Ordo, I see people receive standing and on the hand; bow and receive standing on the hand; kneel, get up, receive on the hand; kneel on one kneel, receive in one hand. And so now, it has become a personal preference on how we receive the Body and Blood of our Lord. When has it become about what *we* want and not what is most right and just? So many people *want* that reverence, why can’t we just bring back communion rails?
Saint Thomas Aquinas said nothing unconsecrated (i.e. the hands of laity) should touch the Eucharist. I would take the words of a saint over Pope Paul VI, who claimed the smoke of satan entered the Church, but never did anything about it.
@@Hallow121 You sound like a protestant. Cherry picking on St. Thomas writings (BTW where did he write/say that?) and confrontating that to the Pope? If you want to receive the communion in the tongue, then go ahead. IDK whether your tounge is more consecrated than your hand. I don't want to argue on something that is not essential (though some people maybe think this is essential, and will cherry picking on some other writings he find somewhere in the internet :) )
@@TKOTraddish So, do you think in the time of Jesus, then the Apostle, and even the Church Father, people receive the communion on the tongue? I am not talking about (personal) preferences. Since Catholic means universal, then we can't measure people (around the world) with our own value. If it is a universal, then people could receive the communion based on their culture, behaviour, experience, etc, as long as the church allows it. We have many small churches which don't have pavement but only soil surface (which sometime wet). Are you going to ask those people in this kind of church to kneel when receiving the communion? Again, as many churches (especially in Asia) are small (but packed with people), then it is not realistic to have a communion rails. But you could ask your church (or, many churches in the west) to have it, because most of them are big, beautiful but not always packed with people. In short, it is Jubilee 2025. I guess we must move on from TLM, receiving communion, etc kind of discussion. Sal Terrae Lux Mundi.
But immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is fitting among saints. Be sure of this, that no immoral or impure man, or one who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for it is because of these things that the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not associate with them, for once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light - Ephesians 5:3, 5-8
He put it in a private book because he doesn't want to be accused of heresy. Oh wait, he already has by hundreds of bishops, hundreds of priests, hundreds of theologians, & hundreds of scholars. BTW, putting it in a private book still makes him a heretic, just like putting heresy in a private letter made Pope John XXII a heretic as well. Pope John XXII was condemned by Pope Adrian IV & the Council of Constance. Francis already publicly taught sodomite heresy in Fiducia Supplicans which was written by the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith. He is already a formal heretic.

So offensive and sad. He’s trying to make the Catholic Church in a Unitarian Universalist church which is no church Christ would recognize. Pray for his conversion.
What surprises me is not that the Pope should argue for the current order of the Mass - he can hardly be expected to act against the Magisterium of the Church which, under previous Popes has introduced the current order - but that he should use such uncharitable arguments. Clearly, there are good arguments in favour of the use of the vernacular. In the fourth century, Western Christians wanted the Bible and the Mass in the vernacular, rather than in Greek, and the Church agreed - the vernacular was introduced - Latin was introduced. The reforms of Vatican II were a continuation of the principle for the use of the vernacular. The continued use of Latin was a reactionary response to the Protestant Reformers - the Church refused to be seen to be giving into threats by those threatening schism if they didn’t get their way. If it had not been for the Reformation, the vernacular would have been introduced much earlier. The argument in favour of the current order of the Mass is unity and obedience. The Faithful should all gather together as one people to celebrate Mass as authorised by their Bishop, the centre of unity for the local Church. Of course there should be improvements - greater reverence should be encouraged, a prayerful silence before Mass rather than a lot of casual chatter and the Priest should follow the order exactly, with great reverence. Communion on the tongue is a very recent introduction, historically and was not introduced to provide greater reverence but to prevent desecration of the host. The Eastern Orthodox have continued faithfully in the unbroken Tradition of the Church, receiving the Eucharist standing and in the hand. Vatican II sought to return to this Tradition. The Pope should be criticised for his uncharitable, unfair and unjustified attacks on those who genuinely long for a more reverential approach to the Liturgy, but not for trying to maintain the authority of the Magisterium.
You did exactly what you accused the pope of doing: you only presented one side of the Latin Mass and kneeling for communion issue. There is another side of that issue and I hope that you would include a two person strong argument for that sometime.
The Apostles were gifted with tongues to spread the Word in the languages in the world. English thank you! That is Biblical! Some Latin fine, but give translation.
Reverence for mass: I enjoy English spoken so I can understand the mass, wear modest clothing, no food or drink, stop talking and use of phone during mass, a nod and a simple peace be with you with hands in prayer. I don’t enjoy the crowd who do act horrible during mass.😊

Satan hates Latin. Bring back the Latin mass. I totally agree with all three of you, on all the issues discussed. Thank you and God bless you. I look forward to having a truly Catholic Pope. May God guide and convert Pope Francis.
He is a puppet! He moves by the string. This is why his words are not consistent, he is conflicted. I'm sad to see him does some grievious things. We dont want him to lose his soul.
Previous generations of Catholics would have been on the streets across the world decrying him. We are far too lukewarm....which is great for them.
The Latin Mass teaches us how to sing
Thank you, God bless you 🙏 Salve Regina, Ora pro nobis ❤
Great podcast as usual!
The 1917Code of Canon Law said that if a man has not achieved the discipline ofcelibacy by the end ofthe second year , it is best to dismiss him.
This pope doesn’t give a fig about Canon Law, our Catechism or anything else related to the unchanging and unchangeable truths of our Faith.
funny.........what about ......looking upon a female with naughty thoughts
@@richs8912 He violated canon law by appointing the female nun over a dicastery. He also cancels priests and bishops without allowing hearings, which canon law states they are to receive.
Francis seems to be saying the past no longer computes so, across the board, it should be discarded. Yet there are so many lessons to be discovered by reflecting on what has been, what worked then and why..
Praying for Pope Francis conversion.
Latin is easily transportable
Hopefully we will get a Holy Pope soon that will bring back the Latin Tridentine Mass to the Vatican and the world. Sadly all I have in my city is the Novus Ordo and I pray the Rosary daily for a Holy Pope.
Excellent program! As always. 👍
And Jorge is model of mental health✌
The autobiography of pope francis is a disgrace to the Catholic Religion
Narcissism, perhaps?
I have given up on trying to understand the pope's unfortunate views on tradition and conservative views. It seems to point to a rigidity that stems from a lifelong bias & prejudice. It is quite un-Christian to bully a certain segment that values the TLM but favor alien ways. I don't think it is senility. It is really an evil soul or satanic influence that lurks behind this supposedly person of God. We continue to pray for his eternal soul! 🙏
Francis the enemy of Tradition
The Lord is my Rock, my stronghold....
Rocks are RIGID. God is unmoved. Thats pretty rigid.
The adjectives and adverbs used by the Pope display a predetermined attitude towards those clinging to the truth of Catholicism, truth given to the Church to defend and protect.
I'm so happy I can't understand this dichotomy! If I did I'd be part of that mode of unthinking.
The Pope is wrong, the modernising direction of the Church is wrong and the political comments from the Pope are shallow.
It’s more than a universal language, yes it’s true but more importantly it’s the Church’s mother tongue ❤ People always forget that. Let’s call it for what it is and add it to the conversation 😀🕊️
That quote from
The Pope demonstrates a real prejudice against the majority of traditional Catholics for whom
The Mass in that form fulfills their spiritual needs. Really disappointing
I hope and pray that the next Pope is much better than the person who occupies the position today.
Thank you Father, for your courage.
It's all well and good to pray for the Pope but in the meantime, we need a Catholic Pope.
I am reading this book currently. I am appalled. The man is downright evil.
A question that's been in my mind: What are the "needs of the times" and who identifies them? One more: Do they apply to everyone?
When did God's love become unconditional love?
an abominable creature at the throne of Saint Peter
Writing an autobiography is an odd thing for a pope to do.
Ego pride, sinful
I do not pray for the Popes recovery.
I rather pray for his conversion to the Holy Catholic Faith and that he only does God’s Holy Will, not his own.
Excellent.THANK YOU.KRIS ETHIOPIA
If I could give this video ten thumbs up I would. God bless all
Cardinal Robert McElroy is a horror story!
I don't always agree with some things I see on EWTN, and I don't think Mother Angelica would approve. However, I do like this show and the Mass, and rosary.
Praise the Lord God our Father. Lord show us your mercy and heal our ailments. Protect us against Corona Virus Pandemic. For our family and near and dear ones. For our spiritual and temporal wants. For the Pope bishops priests religious and all Catholics of the world. Thanksgiving for favours received. Thank you Jesus thank you Jesus thank you Holy Father. Our Lady of Pontmain pray for us
The older people, who are majority, go, cause they are loyal, to TLM, they remember. If it wasn't for them, most Churches, would be closed, already.
What a humble guy!
Thank you Father for defending the Faith and the structure of the Church. Pray for a Holy Church.
Suppression of Bishop Rey is an abomination. We need priests!
Another horrific deed of the hierarchy. I'm losing count with these evil people.
So offensive and sad. He’s trying to make the Catholic Church in a Unitarian Universalist church which is no church Christ would recognize. Pray for his conversion.
I attended Unitarian Church, God is missing, the pastor was gay? Left immediately, bad mistake. Some churches aren’t faithful at all.
When you look at how Mass was celebrated DURING V2, it is today unrecognizable. It was the TLM!!
Bergoglio is anathema
If Catholics could get over NO Hope Without the Pope, they could be far more productive.
It seems like everyone is dancing around the elephant in the room: Heresy.
Latin Mass is great idk what the issue is
The modernists desire a new religion and are attempting to destroy the one that is over 2000 years old to achieve that goal.
the slope is slipping...
No desire to ever read this, worst Pope of my lifetime
You did exactly what you accused the pope of doing: you only presented one side of the Latin Mass and kneeling for communion issue. There is another side of that issue and I hope that you would include a two person strong argument for that sometime.
He's bloated more ways than one.
The Apostles were gifted with tongues to spread the Word in the languages in the world. English thank you! That is Biblical! Some Latin fine, but give translation.
You have to wonder? It breaks my heart to even think this, but pope Francis would be happier as a Protestant pope? Ever evolving teachings.
The Unitarians would welcome him with open arms.
Reverence for mass: I enjoy English spoken so I can understand the mass, wear modest clothing, no food or drink, stop talking and use of phone during mass, a nod and a simple peace be with you with hands in prayer.
I don’t enjoy the crowd who do act horrible during mass.😊
Interesting but if we listen to the mass in all the languages then maybe can catch up 😄
Just like people value and love classical music then why not TLM or traditional kneeling/ adoration of Eucharist/practices? The left tide indeed impacts the Church with modern Pharisee's thinking such as open your border but not Vatican's border or advancing homosexual agenda. Pray for the Church more!.
I'd go to Mass every day, plus a couple visits every week.
But we have no Church in Texas, except Stafford.
Our Priest travels Ohio to Texas once a month, Mass of the Ages, to bring Mass, we have Mass in hotel. Not in union with idolator.
When I think of this Priest's charity, I sometimes cry. Ohio to Austin? I can't understand what is happening except Our Mother of Sorrows involved
Don't call that guy "pope."
9:25 count sedes OUT. we don't dialogue with apostates. And we certainly don't recognize them as hierarchy
