    Spot the mouse 3:19... Lovely snaps. I hope mine do as well as this. I have some costa and rocket but started them only a few weeks ago. Fingers crossed.

    Beautiful Blooms, I live in Ireland. I would like to have blooms to show between early July and up the last week of August, when I stop Snapdragon to flower at this time. Beautiful garden. Thank You.

    Are you heating those tunnels during the winter? Or is this flower just that hardy?

    • @JohnnysSeeds
      @JohnnysSeeds  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there! For this tunnel, and for a majority of other flowers we trialed in our zone 5a research farm tunnels, they are unheated. We do cover them with Agribon AG-70 when necessary. We hope you find this information helpful!

    Are they fertilized when starting to bloom or bud up?

    • @JohnnysSeeds
      @JohnnysSeeds  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is a great question! We do not. We test the soil and amend before planting. The pH should be about 5.5 to 5.8 and we add organic compost for fertility. We hope this helps!

    Can you do a video of snap that do well without a greenhouse? I'm in MA zone 6a and it heats up by mid june. I cant overwinter these snaps and by the time they are ready to bloom from a spring planting indoors and direct transplant outside it is too hot for them ( description says cooler weather and shorter day length). How cold hardy are transplants? Should I aim to get them in the ground before my last frost date?

      We are happy to consider making a video about that! Thank you for that feedback. We do recommend starting them in the spring in New England and transplanting them outside after the danger of frost has passed. @@JohnnysSeeds добрый день! Если сеять семена в январе серии Потомак и Мадам Баттерфляй, надо ли их прищипывать перед высадкой в открытый грунт? Спасибо.

    • @JohnnysSeeds
      @JohnnysSeeds  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@user-nr3tp8re6k Вам не нужно прищипывать львиный зев, но если вы этого не сделаете, вы получите один стебель, один срезанный цветок. Прищипывание их просто дает более густое растение с задержкой начального роста.

    My snapdragons are failing (flopping) over in my flower bed. Are they dying? How can I fix that?

    • @JohnnysSeeds
      @JohnnysSeeds  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello!
      Some snapdragons can get quite tall and need support. If you would like to send a photo of your snapdragons for a second opinion, we are happy to receive photos along with a description at service@johnnyseeds.com.
      We grow all of our snapdragons with net supports. You can find them here: www.johnnyseeds.com/search/?q=hortonova&lang=en_US

    Zone 5? So there is no chance in zone3?

    • @JohnnysSeeds
      @JohnnysSeeds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As we only trial in zone 5, we cannot say if they would do well in zone 3. We recommend trialing to see if they can overwinter in your location. It is best to apply heavy layers of agribon , or other additional cover, during the coldest times.
