Since "Thunder Strike" use the total number of Lightning Channeled in the turn, it would be 290*2.
@@Zack_Zander I subtracted the amount of lightning orbs that were left over in the orb slots at the end since they weren't shown striking the heart in the video (though in hindsight, they would've struck the same spot once he hit turn anyways so I should've counted them).
Also with this comment being made 3 months ago, I was briefly confused when I looked at it again thinking "Yeah, how tf did I get 573?"
Fun fact: the phrase "Lightning never strikes twice in the same place" is completely inaccurate. _Lightning is FAR more likely to strike in the same place than in a new place in the same area due to the fact that lightning wants to take the path of least resistance._ like places with high elevation. The Empire State building is struck by lightning constantly during thunderstorms because of how tall it is.

You have to have some luck on your side to get a run like this, don't feel too bad lol.
He triggered the Heart's invincible which prevented it from taking anymore damage that turn. He literally couldn't do anymore damage to the Heart and yet he still decided to play the second card.
He did this because he could, not because he should.
The odd of him getting that card that triggers all of the Lightning that he channeled in that turn though, XD
@@Zack_Zander the odds at probably higher than you would think. I've played a fairly large amount of stp and I tend to get it pretty often on turns where I've lightening stormed.

I’m talking about the Attack Potion with the Thunder Strike, especially when there a pretty wide list of possible attack cards that can appear.
@@DarkRaen666I mean, depends on your deck, but yeah, its isn't really uncommon for this kinda thing to happen if you choose your cards right, Im not that smort when it comes to games like this but even I can pull plays like this just by focusing a little on which cards you get lol
@@DarkRaen666 You can figure out the exact percent based on your draw pile size.
If each turn you draw 5 and you got 20 cards in your pile, the chance is 25% on your next turn.
Unless you're doing some thicc decc sheneanigans, you're generally likely to get a card the following turn or the next one after that.
But it is just luck at the end of the day.
Thank God that Tempest was upgraded. That 1 extra lightning made all the difference.

Despite Slay the Spire 2 is coming out sometime next year, Slay the Spire is still worth getting with all of the mods that it has.

There's a relic that's called ice cream that carries leftover energy from previous turns and a card called double energy.

It's like the pyramids relic. Capable of both making a cracked deck around it or make a deck cracked just by existing. Especially on silent.
@@Bluewinna it's a rare relic and usually it's pretty hard to keep stacking energy even if you do have it. you're basically passing up extra damage or taking damage yourself in some scenarios in order to stack mana.

This was my first successful Act 3 run with Defect on probably my dozenth attempt. I dubbed that run "Unlimited POWERS" and I too hit 200-something energy thanks to Double Energy, Turbo, Ice Cream, and I think Echo Form? Oh, and a LOT of Fusion and Fission
