Outliers are those value which cause us to get different result than usual, if present they should be avoided.
In this example you are talking about a single outlier, but what happens when you apply the formula and it turns out that you have a significant amount (for example, more than 15%) of outliers?
Hey great question. After making the necessary calculations and it turns out that you have more than one outlier, it is very possible and normal!

does it matter if the numbers that you are given are already in least to greatest order, and if they're not do you put them in that order and than do the calculations?
Yes that is correct! And if the numbers are already in least to greatest in order, that just saves you a bit of time :)
Can you plz tell me what's the physical significance of an outlier data?
An outlier can skew statistical results. For example, if you had a random sample size of 50 and wanted to calculate the average income within that group, if Bill Gates happened to be in your sample, the average income would be over-estimated due to the presence of Bill Gates being in the sample. To put this in perspective, Bill Gates makes about 4 billion per year, whereas the average salary in the US is about $30,000 USD. Bill Gates makes more than the entire sample size combined... times over 2000, which is HUGE!

Q1 - 1.5(IQR)...... can you pls explain why you'r multiplying with 1.5 ?
That is just the standard formula that they teach in introductory university statistics. They chose the multiplier 1.5 because statisticians found that it works the best. The reasons why they chose 1.5 go more into complicated detail but it is not necessary to know for introductory statistics. If you are curious, there are many explanations you can find on google :) So for now, I wouldn't worry about it too much! I hope that helps.

Is anyone not gonna mention the equations of the outliers. If you do the Q1 equation you get -8.5 which he didn't mention at all.. I tried the equation on my own problem and the number was extreme. I don't get it.

Great question! I myself do not know the answer to this, I guess that is just the number that statisticians agreed upon.
