3:10 You're absolutely right. I work in the mental health system, and since COVID and the lockdowns, we've seen a drastic increase in severe mental illness cases. While I’m not here to discuss the politics of lockdowns, their impact on those struggling with mental health has been devastating. During that time, few sought treatment, making it hard to track their whereabouts and recovery progress. We also had to shut down many programs due to social distancing, and unfortunately, those with mental health challenges didn’t participate in our Zoom calls. We're underfunded and often lack the capacity to see clients.
@Mr_tj007 that's what I thought as well. I've been there once and it seem kinda middle classed with nice surrounding restaurants and cafes. Crime is travelling and growing too quick

Man it's the sign of the times, yeah sh!t went down in the old days, and I reckon your right about social media. It highlights just crazy things are now.🤦♂️
Melbourne’s been wild, I agree it’s the Social Media era broadcasting what years ago would only be in print 📰. As much as I love my Hip-Hop, it’s the artists promoting a particular lifestyle of being a thug look glamorous that influence youthful minds.
And the rappers that a lot of these youth turn their ears towards promote being a thug like some badge of honour to be attained. This is sad and comes from someone who chilled in the streets of “Sin Kilda” in the times of 1996-2006 before moving to LA 🌴.
Well said! I have nothing against hip hop music but the culture they promote is not good for our society imo Just look at P Diddy, Tupac etc that stemmed from that particular genre and sector.
@@PaulVanselow Im a great believer of not limiting any kind of art as art imitates life but if it is affecting communities or societies in a negative way with harming humans then maybe it should be intervened with a positive approach. I commend you for having responsible and ethical views with what you do. Blessings. :)
You wouldn't believe it but when I was sitting in traffic on my way home from work yesterday at the corner of police road and jells road. I sore that guy walking up towards Waverly gardens. I was like dang that guy is so cooked he's up to no good and then the cooked gronk goes and stabs security what the hell....
Did you hear about the youths that attacked 2 security guards with a hammer at a shopping centre in traralgon in regional victoria yesterday? Seems like it’s not only Melbourne that is having this sort of crime but regional victoria to!
And there was an incident earlier in the year with a young guy at Plenty Valley Westfield in Mill Park near my area armed with a knife causing trouble. Its stupid man.
I feel it's getting worse.. i've tried looking up statistics on the crime rate from the 90s till now .. allegedly some crimes are down honestly who knows if it's because now we see it all on the news that it seems worse 🤔
i feel like with the question at the end, the perception of it being worse is growing (i cant say for certainty as i wasnt alive in the early 2000s 90s or 80s) but i feel like because we have more access to record and spread infomation regarding these events, it seems like theres more of it. a few days ago i saw a graph where it had each states crime rate per person or something like that, and it was decreasing (there was a small increase after covid for all of the states interestingly enough). ive also heard stories from older people saying it used to be way worse, like in mitcham for example: Some of the stuff these guys were telling me about back in the old days is insane. making me believe what i stated previously, who knows tho i might be wrong very interesting video and your vids on going to "sketchy suburbs" are really interesting and kinda make me think twice about stereotypes of places.
