      Where I live the cemeteries are owned privately or on church properties. It’s up to them to maintain. The cemetery where my parents and grandparents are was purchased in 1948 for $100. Six bodies can be buried there. I send a donation yearly to the cemetery association.

      Perhaps, since at least one of these grave stones indicate that it is of a Veteran, if you were to get in touch with a local Chapter of Veterans Foreign Wars, they could make arrangements to have this grave site looked after on a regular basis! I know when my Father was President of one of these Chapters, they cleaned Veterans Grave sites often.

    One would think the neighbors of this cemetery would take turns maintaining this but year after year properties are ignored, whether cemeteries like this or an elderly/disabled person next door. People can do better but won't. It's one excuse after another. Thank the Lord we have people like you!!! May you stay blessed & safe. ✌️🙏🌻

    I'm not sure what state you are in but I am pretty sure I saw some poison ivy in this cemetery. I was glad to see your whole body was protected, except, your hands. You did not mention anything about the poison so I assume I was wrong in what I thought I saw. Not too many people including, lawn care workers are aware, that when you cut poison ivy or poison oak the spores that are the trigger for the allergic reaction are thrown in the air and can be breathed in. As long as the stem is broken or cut AND EVEN IF THESE WEEDS ARE BURNED, if we inhale these spores into our windpipes and lungs this can cause a severe reaction and even death. Just a word of caution, to you, your crew, and anyone else who did not know this. Thank you for respecting the dead and doing such a great job in keeping their resting place known.

    • @mowitwellsplus
      @mowitwellsplus  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, there was plenty of poison ivy. I got a little on my left hand from holding the trimmer.
      I have gloves now lol.

    Perfect! Awesome Job! When I saw this before I thought how could anyone just let a cemetery become so unkempt and overgrown. If you lived next to it, wouldn’t you complain to the township or village about it. If nothing happened then I’d take a Sunny day and spend the time at least cutting it back. I don’t know why it bothers me so much - it’s just disrespectful. Thanks Alex!

    If only the people living near this beautiful property would clean it up too. It would make a very pretty park like atmosphere. Kids in neighborhood could play here. Put swings or picnic tables. Awesome cleaning you did on the sacred grounds.
