The "Heatpump" in question in front is the ABS/ESP block for the brake system 😅
In England those dashboard storage compartments on top would be where the builders keep their copy of "the sun" lol
In Germany it would be „BILD“
but only page 3 :-)
@@miketjoeng3857 hahaha yes true
We had a MB V Class 2014. Batteries (2) were placed under front passanger seat. When we sold the car in 2022 after 350 000 km the orginal batteries still worked fine.🙂
And battery likes room temperature, maybe Mercedes places battery in right place
I don't understand what is new about this prototype. The E-Vito has been available in this configuration since 2020 with the same range. In our operation, under real conditions, it achieves a maximum of 180 to 200 km at 4°C in the city at night. Unfortunately, after 4 years, the model still does not come with a heat pump.
Never mind the epic SLR in the background 😍
This is ideal for Taxi Companies,Nice one Bjorn,New Model 3 winter 1000km test record incoming 👍
Nobody knows the range what these vans do in winter (between -15 to -30) so i'd say bad for taxi companies
@@p1u luckily most people don't live where the temps go down that low
@@ViriuZ7yeah they are lucky but I live in such weather conditions .. that’s one reason why I would not buy a ev! Not practical with this kind of temperature in winter
Most Places rarely get -15 to -30 @@p1u
@@p1uwe have a lot of EQVs as taxis in Norway so I say they are good enough at least, shouldn’t be a problem for the eVito to be used as a taxi as well
Really awesome to see you review it. I actually got this one in netherlands a few weeks ago. Its a low spec version build into one with all kinds of storage in the sides for work. Drove 3000km already and very happy with this version, and good range for me. Infotainment is bit lower spec but has Apple CarPlay and Android auto. Im interested to see you do 1000km challenge. 😁😁
Uber should get them. Looks comfortable and has the sliding door. I like it 👏
My understanding is that a White Van delivery vehicle needs to be capability of carrying 1ton payload. Would be interesting to see how delivery businesses make the case for the EV version.
Amazon uses such cars to deliver to the warehouse on the other side at the Tesla Supercharger in Kaltenkirchen in Schleswig Holstein. Maybe Björn will come there sometime? :-)
Is that a Mercedes mclaren SLR in the back?!
Mercedes sure love those gradients from the late 90's
Nice to see the e-Vito. I hope you also get the chance to check out the facelifted EQV.
wrong about the charge port, it is a perfect place, no smutts at that place and the button is to release the cable and stop charging 🙂

*schmutz :)
Come to Norway during winter and you will realize that I was right.
@@bjornnylandI have driven my EQV since desember 2021 and driven it 88.000km in summer and winter here in Norway. I´m just stating the facts here.
2:32 "the left side is the right side" is only valid with a rear chargeport. If the charge port is in the front, the right side is in fact the right side because you park your car with the front in first at a Supercharger 😅
Also if you park at the side of the road charge port right is better
It's also better when you park in a narrow garage. You have yoga in a package as you need to get out through the.passenger door 😂
The charge port should be at the rear and people should learn to park properly.
@@dDoOyYoOuUtTuUbBeE I didn't agree with that today when I reversed my car into garage with a snowy reverse camera and didn't see a thing.
@@jaakkoiswatching6437Get out and clean your camera. We used to park with only mirrors. This confirms what I wrote. People don't know their car and can't drive nowadays.
It needs more iso-fix for sure! You can get a VW touran with 5 iso-fix (in the 7 seat version).
Damn are you running a kindergarten
You look like Spoke from Star Trek with this haircut💪💪💪😀😀😀🤟👍🙏
12:21 it is ABS system
114km at 40% means 285km range at 100%, right ? With indoor temperatures of that shop probably at 22-23 degrees? That is very little I would say. Not surprising with a probably huge drag coeff. So for 90-10% realistically 230km and then in winter maybe 150-180km usable?
That seems very little, no?
Its 370km WLTP
@@Knnnkncht well but that there is the real range. do not care about WLTP :)
@@tesla-spectre well its a Basis for predictions
@@tesla-spectre GOM in most cars is based on previous drives (including stops while switched on) , not on ambient temperature. As that car probably hasn't been driven a lot, but possibly switched on while stationary for people who try some stuff just like Bjorn does in this vid, the best you can say above what the guess-o-meter states for that car in that moment is: bad guess.
@@OenkePoenke 🤣 then it is different from how a Tesla calculates that (which is simply gross capacity available divided by average consumption (136Wh/km for a Model 3 LR pre facelift), so it never changes except when the battery degrades
I already drive one of those (the original version) for a taxi/bus/ridesharing service. This seems rather just like a refresh, its basically all the same except new front + MBUX. Competition (which we also have a few vehicles of) is as you said the Proace/Traveller/Zafira, but unlike you said they can also be delivered in the same size as the Vito.
Were I hail from this is a Mercedes metris. Can deff be used for family , out here in the US of A mostly hotels and business’s will use this model. Non the less great review and video. 👍🏻 and yes the front right is the ABS module.
The seat system is very similar to the Renault Espace 4.
Is this a new car? Because I saw an EVito here a couple of weeks ago. Belonged to a touring company..
Its the Facelift 2024 Model
@@Knnnkncht ah. I think the video title was changed.. It's clear now.
I drive the old eVito Tourer for >100.000km already and I'm really interested in this new version. Imo the old version was not really an EV, pretty much a retrofitted ICE car. No EV sat nav, very basic car app that often failed, no keyless, no state of the art driving assistants.. The battery capacity and charging speed was reasonable, the rest sucked a bit. Let's see if they learned their lesson from it.
any chance for an AWD Version?
That fuel door Lol!!!!
Very Nice Van Indeed, Bjorn Very Nice Today Too, Video Review Very Nice and Shiny
Good workhorse. OFC depends on price and +500kg ppl inside
2:40 that is not a good place in any country. That is in fact ANTI consumer, because that place is one of the most exposed placed on any given car.
In all the crashes even the lighest (where the driver is not guilty but someone else), that is the most damaged zone..
This leads to stupidly higher erxpneses that mercedes can flasely inflate for their own unjust profits.
Put the charging place exactly like in gas vehicles, on the rear quarterpanel, on the passenger side, that area is the most protected.
Price?
We need you to confront Clarkson and have a discussion about EVs 😂 he hates them!
Game over in vans 😂
Please test the Airbrakes 😆👍
❤❤❤
So that thing clams 285 km range? Give me a break
Thats the GOM. WLTP is 370 km.
Would yoy test electirc version of Ford Tourneo Custom? It is a much better van and more practical.
When will they finally make these with 2 doors in the back instead of the big door.... that's the way you can load a van with a forklift....
True. Also needed for wheelchair lifts/ramps
It has been an option for 20 years already for Vitos.
DENglish: Salz.Schmutz 🤣
Looks like the rim is too narrow for these tires which creates this donut look...
And the tire works as a bumper and protects the rim from curb rash. Sehr praktisch!
Here's a video where this car was still with his German license plates ;) th-cam.com/video/ZHwcWe2_WHA/w-d-xo.html
🚗🇸🇪🙂👍👋
User interface suck balls hard.
What a stupid Position of a Chargeport
100kWh, Charging like the XPeng G9 and under 60k €. Nothing else should this car be. otherise the german carmakers are don, against the technological more advanced chinese carmakers.
❤❤❤
