This actually makes me more confident in buying a broken figure. I've never owned any of the Kenner rexes only the Mattel one. Lately I've been looking for some good deals on the original figure and alot either have horribly kinked necks or tails or missing limbs.

Just acquired a red rex and I'm trying to fix it up like you did. This video has been rather helpful, though at the moment I am stuck. I can't exactly roll up the first half of the skin, and the two halves are refusing to pull apart. As well as when I went to open up the underbelly where the battery was, instead of it being empty there's a rusty battery still plugged in. Anyone have any suggestions?
Gently pull the battery out (use a tool if it's stuck), and clean the battery compartment/contacts with Q-tips and vinegar. Vinegar cuts thru (oxidizes?) the battery acid residue.
My favorite prehistoric Pokemon are the Aerodactyl and Kabutops and Tyrantrum. And now that I think about it have ever thought about sculpting one or two of your favorite Pokemon? If I were to do so I start with the Aerodactyl?
And uhhhhh you know the Ted Brothers? Well, I am subscribed to their channel and amazed to see how one Ted Brother repaint Jurassic World Dinosaur toys. Especially a Carnotaurus to look like the Carnotaurus from Disney's Dinosaur.

It would be good if someone did a how to fix the thrasher T rex toy I have one that the thrashing action doesn’t work but no videos on how to repair it or anything.
Man it sucks my red rex's string or cable is broken and missing. I think the previous owners tried to fix it because 3 quarters of the cable is missing and there was old glue where the seam line is. At least I could be able to fix the sounds!

Hi! There is a problem here : When you press the chest, the toy roar but the mouth is supposed to open, not to close. (check other review videos to see how it is supposed to work) There must have been something that changed on yours, because the mechanism is closing the mouth instead of opening it wide.
Yes, I've since been made aware. It's so interesting, how did my rex's mechanism somehow invert at some point before getting it. In any case I'm happy it works, although the other way round 😅🦖
