This spring I got a 28% increase this spring on auto insurance from USAA, no warning and no explanation. I called them to see if they showed me having tickets or claims but there weren’t any. They could not explain the increase to me. Mine was a case of being a long time loyal customer getting the shaft. I changed to Erie instead., who I later learned from Clark is a preferred insurer by auto shops. I understand the industry is going through tough times but I think USAA at least could have provided their staff with talking points so they could deal with upset customers. USAA was flat footed on this and gave me the impression they couldn’t care less how I reacted to their increase.

I had Wawanesa (out of San Diego). They tried to double my auto and home. I had no tickets, accidents, or claims. I moved to AAA, and they only increased it 50%. I just I should be thankful for that? Sheesh!

7:02 Despite fitting that driver description, unfortunately even this model is still expensive. I can’t do anything about it, having shopped around. It’s a bait and switch.
For the first 3 months the bill was great. My rate has more than doubled in just one year. It’s the lowest option around but still expensive at $150/mo, up from $68/mo.
I thankfully own my vehicle. I am so over gouging from every angle, however, that I’m considering not purchasing another car or putting more $ into this one for repairs in favor of autonomous vehicle transportation for everything.

Wouldn't it be great if insurance companies lowered your premium year after year based on the depreciated value of your vehicles? They aren't quite that honest, but you can actually call them annually and have your policies reviewed and re-quoted based on the actual market value of your vehicles. This can save a quite a lot of money over time.

Florida's first really big lotto winner (30 or so years ago) won a record (at the time) $106m lotto jackpot. She was a single scorned woman... sank her money into a home for divorced women. Within 2 years the women at the home had bilked her for every penny she had.... Tragic, but all too common and shows that so many people dont understand the relationship of wealth and money.

    • @oldmaninthemirror

I have State Farm Drive Safe and Save. There is a little device that you attach to your windshield which communicates with your phone. The GPS and other sensors in your phone communicate with the app on your phone monitor mileage speed braking acceleration cornering and mileage. Also every so often I receive an email that I need to update via the app what my current odometer reading is. I guess this would allow them to verify you’re not leaving your phone home when you drive. It’s a bit of a nanny state thing but saves me currently about $190 every 6 months on auto insurance. I’m old now so I tend to drive much less and when I do I drive slower anyway so the monitoring is not that bothersome.

I had to get Polish Złoty and Euros and found a currency exchange in a mid size city, with a research university, 30 min drive away, that gave a good rate. I could not spend them all on way out of Europe so, went back and got a better rate back to dollars. If you just go to any old bank or the big, bad, main city bank, forget it! Search around for oddball currency exchanges in your city or nearby. I don’t know if this advice still stands but, I have to assume it does since money dates back to the Mesopotamian shekel 5000 years ago.

Thank you for your videos... BTC price has been volatile lately, but I believe it's crucial to focus on educating newcomers on strategies beyond simply holding through market dips. One advantage of this space is the ability to buy during dips and actively trade, generating profits while awaiting inevitable price increases. Many people lack a deep understanding of how this market operates. Charts cannot predict asset movements with certainty; prices fluctuate up and down. Despite this volatility, the market remains profitable.... I have managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 732k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Linda Wilburn, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.
