Honestly, I think 99% of rappers who rap about drugs never do it because it will make them famous or for cloud chasing, excluding a few artists, but they sing about it because it is genuinely a part of their lives whether they just witnessed abuse or been the abuser themselves. There is nothing more real than an artist truly expressing themselves and sharing an insight to their mind-state in order to reach out and help people who feel the same way.

I lost my oldest and youngest brothers to suicide within a year of each other, and with mental health struggles comes addiction of some sort or another.
