So often I return to this wonderful and intens music that warms my heart and makes my eyes fill with tears. Thanks to all the people involved in bringing this wonder to our ears. 💐💐
As a devoted Mahlerite, I disagree! I only know the originals from Mahler's symphonies, and it deviates of course, as one cannot adapt a Mahler movement to a choir. But the spirit and beauty of the material is conserved, expanded and deepened beautifully! Thank you Clytus🙏
I find this even better than the original, where the 2nd and 3rd lines of Urlicht are omitted and replaced by the orchestra. This stays a lot closer to the spirit of the text. Well that is how I feel it of course.
Wunderschöne Stimmen, und ich bin dabei,Sie zu hören 😊❤,freue mich sehr. Danke

Waw, what a performance. Also great arrangements from Clytus Gottwald who died in January of this year.

👍👍👍❤
I am referring here of course to Mr. Riek's comment
an unwlcome bastardisation of the original, one sure to be scorned by all devoted Mahlerites
