Walking in Calellla's Rambla Spain, 4K

Calella is a municipality in the Maresme region of Spain, located 50 km from Barcelona, 50 km from Girona and 6 km from the Montnegre-Corredor Natural Park. It is known as the tourist capital of the Costa del Maresme and is characterized by being a cosmopolitan city with a typical Mediterranean climate.
Its urban layout, with a central pedestrian and commercial area, green spaces and wide range accommodation offer, make of Calella an important tourist destination.
Calella has beaches three kilometers in length and more than 180,000 m2 of golden sand, blue waters, and natural areas such as Dalmau Park, Manuel Puigvert promenade, Garbí promenade, The Lighthouse or The Turrets.
Calella is a city with almost 700 years of history. It has been, and still is today open to the sea and the mountains, jealous of its history, of a past rich in facts and always open to Catalanness, which has become, over the years, a newcomers receiving community
For some years now, an ambitious process has been set in motion: to become a city of reference in sports, health, cultural and family tourism. The population's clear commitment to sport and culture is demonstrated in a wide range of sports, cultural, artistic, leisure and family activities promoted by the city council, as well as in the wide variety of facilities and sport disciplines that can be practiced in the city.

Es conocida como la capital turística de la Costa del Maresme y se caracteriza por ser una ciudad cosmopolita con un clima típico del Mediterráneo. Está situada a 50 km de Barcelona, a 50 km de Gerona y a 6 km del parque natural Montnegre-Corredor.1​
La configuración de su trama urbana, con una gran zona peatonal y comercial -así como la disposición de 15 plazas, agradables espacios verdes y una gran oferta de alojamiento, hacen de Calella uno de los destinos turísticos más importantes del país.2​
Situación de Calella en la comarca del Maresme
Una oferta de cerca de tres kilómetros de longitud de playas y más de 180 000 m² de arena dorada y limpia, aguas intensamente azules, y zonas naturales -como el Parque Dalmau, el paseo de Manuel Puigvert, el paseo de Garbí, El Faro o Las Torretes-, hacen de Calella una ciudad dinámica, moderna y acogedora, que permite disfrutar al visitante de un destino con una singularidad propia.3​
Desde hace unos años, se ha iniciado un proceso ambicioso: convertirse en una ciudad de referencia en el turismo deportivo, de salud, cultural y familiar. La clara apuesta de la población por el deporte y la cultura se demuestra en una amplia oferta de actividades deportivas, culturales, artísticas, lúdicas y familiares promovidas por el Ayuntamiento, así como en la gran variedad de instalaciones y disciplinas deportivas que se pueden practicar en la ciudad.
Desde enero de 2016 Calella cuenta con el Museo del Turismo, una propuesta museística única en el mundo que tiene como objetivo mostrar de manera atractiva, didáctica y participativa, la historia del turismo y sus efectos socioculturales y económicos a nivel global.
Calella es una ciudad con casi 650 años de historia.4​ Ha sido, y es hoy en día, una ciudad abierta al mar y a la montaña, celosa de su historia, de un pasado rico en hechos y siempre abierta a la catalanidad, que se ha convertido, con el paso de los años, una comunidad receptora de personas recién llegadas de muchos países, culturalmente diferentes, pero con una gran riqueza personal y colectiva.
La playa de Calella, la calle Iglesia y la rambla del Capaspre constituyen los puntos de mayor atracción turística por su centralidad comercial y de ocio.6​
Otros lugares de interés son:
El faro, construido el 1859.
Las Torretes, antiguas torres de telégrafo, por método de banderas y palas de madera, situadas cerca del faro.
La Pineda de Can Dalmau.
El paseo marítimo Manuel Puigvert.
Las plazas de la Iglesia, de Cataluña y la del Bunyol.
El Museo Archivo, sobre la historia de Calella, con salas dedicadas a la industria textil, una a la antigua farmacia Barri y las de la pinacoteca dedicada a Lluís Gallart i Garcia.
La Biblioteca, ubicada a la antigua casa Salvador de la plaza de l'Ajuntament.
