This video showed up in my recommended at the perfect time! I've been trying to find something interesting but relatively approachable to ease myself back into reading more regularly and this series seems perfect. Exactly what I have been looking for. Thanks. Excited to get started.
I read this series early in the pancetta. I agree with what you said and I enjoyed it a lot (and still think about it a lot) but I was not ready for the nightmares it gave me. Likewise for the Unwind series. These may be light-hearted easy reads but they are DARK, too.
The second book is SOOOOOOOOOOO much better than the first and third. Not only is the plot always moving, but its always building up on stuff it has setup. The third protagonist, Greyson, was an amazing decision, i love how ALL characters change a lot over such a quick read: Anastasia goes from gleaning ppl, to almost dying to terrorists to a crime investigator, to a politician, to a secret island investigator, and back to a politician. Lucifer goes from gleaning scythes, to having to deal with an old villain, to fighting his old best friend, to being framed for terrorism. Greyson goes from a humble kid to a nimbus agent aprentice to an unsavory to a fake identity to a real unsavory to the most important character ever.
just finished thunderhead and read the last 100 pages in a day OMG the ending was action packed I'm not gonna spoil anything tho I'm so excited to read the toll but yeah I'm 11 btw my writing teacher recommended it so I got the whole series
We are reading it in class at first I wasn't into it until like chapter 20 something when it got a bit more interesting! i bought the book and read the rest myself!
I read the series this year. The first book was the best. Personally, I didn't like the 2nd and 3rd books as much as they kept going on about tonists and the Toll, but I think the series stuck the landing
Haven’t finished the video yet so this may have been mentioned, but I really liked the series but I think the last book may have been really rushed feeling
The short stories in Gleanings take place at different times in the world of the scythe. Some take place hundreds of years before the main series, some take place during, and others take place after. The author recently announced that he’s working on a prequel book which will take place in the early years of the scythedom
Potential SPOILER I almost thought they were hinting Jeri was the body the Thunderhead built with the whole "Jeri said that thing in the same way the Thunderhead did" or just when it used them to feel, so I'm a bit disappointed they ended up being a diversity brownie point character for the most part even tho I enjoyed Jeri very much in the book.

Glad I could help!
Really a chill read. Great series with a good message.

Just finished the last book today and it is by far one of my favorite series I have ever read.
Mine too! I'm glad you enjoyed it

When I found the first book, I literally couldn’t put It down. Neal is a great author and anyone who likes Scythe, should read Unwind as well.
This definitely goes to my TBR list!
Wow nice video keep up the good work
Thanks!

I feel the same. I didn’t get the same feeling of excitement as I did with the first the other two were still good.
i loved this series altough i have not read the third book yet.
It's awesome! It does get really sci-fi, though
Definitely not teenage love hints at all…😂
Haven’t finished the video yet so this may have been mentioned, but I really liked the series but I think the last book may have been really rushed feeling
Also very refreshing that the ai wasn’t evil for once
Ya the romance felt a little rushed for sure but didn’t ruin it for me
Is the forth book with the short stories, continuation of the main story line and characters?

Series was peak until the third book imo. Jericho was a diversity brownie point character that was kinda annoying
I wasn’t crazy about the third book either. Still love the series though
Potential SPOILER

The giver ,never really anything new
