78k is only affordable for some, still crazy expensive, Ill stick with my well maintained 88 ranger bass classic package still runs and everything works, easy to maintain with the 93 Johnson fastrike, its an Incredible motor, it made your top 10, i agree 100%
For Ikon to do this is awesome. The industry really priced out the majority of people wanting new boats. Thats a competitive price, with the quality of Ikon, sounds like a great bang for your buck.
Just got on a team deal with them at 19, they have blown a lot of people out of the water, was talking with sales until 11pm eastern and they closed at 4 for the weekend. Talked to them all day long on Good Friday while they were closed. Outstanding people and outstanding service.
I’d say Brent had a hand in this boat. Hats off to them. You can get in this boat loaded out for nitro z21 xl money and you know the icon is leaps and bounds ahead on quality!
I guess looking back at the huge amount they spent to engineer that original boat with its advances which resulted in the crazy price. Has now allowed them to leverage that knowledge to cut the price and still come up with a nice boat!

Well all i can say is good luck to all, ive been in a nightmare for the last 12 months with a LX21 and you mention growing pains, well how about when you spend 130k and still a year later are trying to fix multiple problems and not just with the boat but issues with the trailer i thought i bought the Ferrari of bass boats i guess they forgot to give me a bar of soap and a towel with the purchase, will be doing a true owners review with in depth details on the issue's i have been dealing with, and i hope anyone else will not have to go thru what i have been thru

There is always cost savings in sales volume, If they can sell more boats, the purchase parts should see a price reduction due too volume of sales. Design evolution in a new design is amazing thing to witness. They will be a huge player in industry, Happy Easter, great video.
I'm glad manufacturers are starting to recognize that the 100+k bassboat is out of reach for most of the buyers and is making a better priced option. Don't get me wrong, I'll still keep my 95 Astro but atleast prices are headed in the right direction
I still feel like that's 88,200 before taxes and delivery so it's still over 90k. I even think a new nitro is now insanely priced. I priced a z20 in spring of 2022 and it was 57k before taxes and delivery with poles, Hydraulic jack plate, 3 12" screens with a live transducer. They couldn't oder it yet due to scheduling. I went back in July and it was now 87k and I couldn't choose any options for trolling motors or screen brands.
I like the iKons, not for everyone but good looking boats, bit still for the morr serious fisherman doing a lot of tournaments.. Side question, what if you could get a 1995 Gambler 20' with a Mercury 200 efi, not sure the year, for $7,500? Lol
Hey Andy have you seen the bass boat crash at the MLF series tournament where 2 boats violated the no wake zone and gun it than crash into each other! There’s a video out there on it.. icon is giving the consumers a second thought now
Thanks for the video. Prices are just crazy I mean you are literally talking Mercedes money and not any bottom class Benz, we are talking very nice vehicles.
The boat had a 300 with a 250 cowl! Just kidding, no one would EVER do that 😮. Come on guys, I'm just kidding 😂. Great results tho 👍 Would love to see it with a Suzuki!
I have a question; how do you explain the difference between this boat and the original 140,000 boat? I thought that all those fancy touch pads rocked your world with the advancement. Looks like to me ikon is doing the back stroke, Lia Thomas style???
I can't afford this. It's like trying to sell a Mercedes to the gm and Ford guys. Nice to look at but not realistic for 80 % of us. With tax and a few lithiums that's 96 out the door. On a 10 year note that's around 900 a month.
In a 5 years they will all be 110 grand. They will all be competitive at that price but who can afford them? Not many people will have a thousand bucks a month for 10 years or more to go fishing. 😅
No touchscreen controls, 2x smaller graphs vs 4x large graphs, 10" removed, shallower rod lockers, less deck padding, No poles. We can see how they got there. It's also not Loaded like our OVER/UNDER boat
Everyone talking about how $88k is highway robbery probably need to keep running their 25 year old rigs, because you are not the target demographic for new boat builders. Fishing is an expensive hobby and anyone on any budget can enjoy it, some of us just prefer the creature comforts and technology. I own businesses and I charge as much for my products as the market will bear. I'm sure I could get by charging less but getting by is not a sustainable business model. I looked hard at the first version of Ikon that came out and probably would have one right now but the top speed was a deal breaker for me, now that they have revised their product I will take a long hard look at the VLX when our local dealer gets one in. Good for Ikon for listening to the people.

Insane. I make well over $100k and no way could I responsibly afford a new fiberglass boat without financing for 20 years. Ikon, welcome back to some semblance sanity. $125k is ridiculous. Fuck, even $90k is outrageous but in the right direction. I’m having my Gator Trax built with a 200hp Suzuki for much less though. ELECTRONICS are what really gouges the wallet.
