2022 PB owner here. I’m on my third set. This set has started to make that clicking noise again.
Also, my transmission failed at 33k miles and the new unit is banging into D/R again.
I love the truck but holy hell this thing is made of glass.

I see my truck finally made the recall list officially. (2021 king ranch) Still haven’t received a letter yet though. They need to hurry up with the fix or give me a new super duty with that highout 6.7. 😅. Trying to get everything in line for a trip to Chincoteague Virginia this summer.
P.S. I’m literally right over the hill from you. Haha. Saw the Canandaigua lake video.

I'm taking mine in next week for the usual +this recall, and check out this line item:
REAR AXLE HALF-SHAFT AND HUB ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT

I had my Powerboost in for oil change and tire rotation. When he took off the wheel, the bolt fell on the floor.

You can pop the center cap on the wheel off and see the bolt very easy.

23 Max Tow package here as well. No issues for me yet... I am worried about having this happen when camping season starts and I want to tow my new 6,000 lb. camper. I haven't heard if the break is more likely when towing. Wonder which type of stress on the axle (payload or torque?) is causing the failure. Also, I haven't looked into it, but wonder if they changed something with the 2024's or don't offer this package any more?

Hey man - what did you find out re ok to tow a trailer?. I've already heard the rattle sound, and I didn't put two and two together that is to do with this recall. I think the rattle has stopped. I stupidly thought it's a rock or something

@@Grubbbee Took my truck in for the bed step handle recall and asked them to check the rear axle. They took off rear tires and checked the axle shaft torque, said the axles are ok ...for now. Still waiting for Ford to have an official fix for the problem. I would bring yours in and get that rattle checked.

My 2022 Ford F-150 Powerboost now has 3 outstanding recalls. WHY? Because the dealer REFUSES to schedule any recall work for 9 months.

I have had some luck calling other dealers vs my own, mine basically laughs at you if you want an appointment in the next couple months

Yep popping off the rear wheels will tell you if the bolt head falls on the ground. I heard the cap in the center of the wheel can be popped off too but I don't want to scrape it up

My ‘23 F150 had the rattle for a few weeks and then completely broke down 12/29 in morning traffic before I could have it seen. Dealer just called and said axle completely broke. Curious what else they find.

I took mine in for oil change and tire rotation and they said they replaced the axle all in about 15 minutes! Is that possible?

I mean I suppose it's possible, it's not super complicated, but that does seem fast. I'd just pop under it and see if it looks new

@@rougetrader8 they seem to always put warranty and recall work on the back burner cause they're not getting paid from the customer for the work... warranty and recall work is on a lower payout from corporate,so they're gonna drag it out in hopes of the customer taking it elsewhere.....I had some warranty stuff on my brand new truck with not even 1000miles on it and they said it would take 3 days before they can look at it and then provide a loaner, because they said they were busy...BUT,the service writer also said,if I paid for the diagnostic, they could check it right then....so,he contradicted himself.... basically they're too busy if I'm not paying and it's warranty, but they're not busy if I'm paying a $200 diagnosis fee....total BS..... I've had several small issues I brought to the dealers attention and they are suppose to document and give me a report...they never reported anything to corp...I decided to call corporate on my own and report the issues so they could be documented....needless to say,the rep was not happy with the dealer not doing their job, because reporting issues is how TSBs and recalls are developed...this dealer was not doing their part....Ford corp Rep basically told me to never return to that dealer..(which I have purchased 3 trucks from) ...

@@rougetrader8 my truck was also low differential fluid,by almost a quart....they refused to top it off...had to pay $40 for a qt of fluid and topped it off in the parking lot of the dealership....then went to show how low it was and the truck obviously did not have a pre sale inspection,I was basically ignored....I almost was going to tell everyone their what they can do with themselves, but I just walked out....funniest thing is,when I purchased my most recent truck from them, they knew I'm a well known local diesel tech and offered me a job...even put in an application on the day of purchase....when they called to ask if I was still interested in the job,I told them I don't feel comfortable working for half ass dealerships....at the end,I just wound up fixing all of the small issues myself..
