I just installed this door, found this video just as I was trying to install the door seal extrusion. I was trying to install them incorrectly. Thanks for the video. I like the door and didn't think the install was to difficult. The instructions were pretty clear for the most part. The plastic door latches were junk but I just reused the metal one that was on the door
If you are going to post an installation video you SHOULD show the entire installation for an exterior sliding glass door, which DOES include a lock and latch!!
I live in Ohio and it gets cold. This insert is a big pain in the ass. The cheapo easy install one gave me less headache and I don't really notice a difference temperature wise.
So my door is 1 1/2 but the extension to connect to the dog door is 1 1/4 hmm 🤔 why can’t it just slide on.guess I need to send it back to get 1 1/2 by 1 1/2 for both sides
The written instructions are terribly confusing, and this isn't much better. I'm trying to insert the "draft seal" but it won't fit into the groove in the door seal extension. Very frustrating!

This is the US not Europe. They were going to switch to metric back in the 70s but people didn't like it. Why change something that works perfectly well?

Totally agree. The POS plastic latch and spacer was garbage. Didn't even come close to making contact with the lock mechanism. Took this thing back.
My extrusions do not snap in like that, how to I attach them???

Not easy at all...still stuck lifting pet panel into place. Everytime I instert the top panel, the flippin door falls off the hanger!!! OMFG
I did not use the hangers and it worked easier for me. I just stuck it in. I cannot drill into the exterior.

Hopefully your not on the ground floor, and you have to use a pole to block it.
