I Think You Were Born In The Wrong Century Tessie, You Would Have Made One Heck Of A Pioneer Woman!!! You And Ken Have Made An Amazing Sanctuary Away From The World. Kudos To You Both Love Andrea ❤️
I would love to live in a mobile home like yours, at 64 it’s probably never going to happen but I want you to know that you add so much to my life. I have been watching every video you have made. I love your crafting, canning, true frugality, home making, thrifting, collecting , love of God, honestly, positive attitude and appreciation of the good life. We are soul sisters in many ways. Keep up the good work. You are appreciated.🌻
I agree sister Dana. My life is happier and more focused now that I follow Tessie. When I get a little tired, or want to complain in my heart (I am totally blessed) I try to take a break, and watch a little video. I’m trying to remember the blessings of slow living, and enjoy the moment. New stuff for this ex type A technology whirlwind!
Don’t give up! I FINALLY after wanting to live like this my ENTIRE life finally was able to (last April) at age 60 buy a barren little 2 acre property with a little creek running thru it and a 2004 single wide mobile home. I’ve NEVER been happier. I bought a little sign that I hung in my Living room…” I still remember the days that I prayed for what I have now”….. I give all the Glory to God.🙏♥️🙏♥️🙏
You and your family have invested a lot of time, money, and effort into your Homestead. It’s a lovely place to call home. Thank you for inviting us in and sharing all of your knowledge, ideas, and thoughts.❤️
Tessie, You are living the best life that I admire greatly taking a run down property and turning it into a dream a working homestead that anyone can do you and Ken make a great team and it shows :-) Everything is beautiful you inspired me greatly to make my own dream in my back yard :-) Love you my sister :-) God Bless You and Ken :-)
We remodeled an older 70’s mobile for my parents. We were able to replace the kitchen cabinets and floors and carpets and paint. It’s so cute and my mom is so happy there.
Tessie, this is a wonderful video -- both for people who have followed you for years and for people who are just discovering your channel now. It's pretty much the complete collection of your whole experience of creating the homestead. I know that you get SO many questions, practically every day! And I'm sure many of them are questions that you've dealt with before (many times! 😀) Now you (and the rest of us) will have one video that answers a lot of those questions, so people with several questions will be able to come here and get lots of answers! Often when I'm telling people about your channel and your homestead, I say: "This dear woman is not only a Christian, an artist and a gardener, she's what a lot of people would call a "mechanical genius!" And then I tell them about the rain barrel watering can filter system that you yourself invented. And that's just one of the many things you've taught your subscribers! Your channel is so completely unique; I'm just praying that more and more people by the day discover all the wisdom, tranquility and joy that you offer every day of the year. 😀
Oh my you are so right! I was stressing about how to put a filter on my rain barrel. Everythinbb go I had seen was expensive and complicated. Tessie just puts the down spout into a watering can, and adds a note layer of filter AKA burlap! Yay one more perplexing task off my list!!!
You have a beautiful property. You have a beautiful home. Your home is a reflection of you. It is beautiful and you have made a gorgeous Oasis. A gorgeous Sanctuary a beautiful place where you grow things from your own hand and dreams and bring it to fruition. That's so wonderful having you share it with us. And having shared this community with other communities. So that we can enjoy you and others similar to you. Feels like coming home to a place where there is safety and love :-)
I just found you a few months ago and am amazed at what you can do with so little. Can't wait to see your garden in full bloom in the summer. I bet your neighbors are so happy that you took over the property and cleaned it up. I love the inside of your home, so cozy, We started out in a mobile home and it was fun! ( and so much easier to care for than the 3,000 square foot home I have now being 70 and a widow.
Your homestead is lovely and very productive! I'm in awe of your dedication to be so creatives and find ways of making some extra money for things you need and/or want. Tessie, you're a marvel! You and your husband took something that wasn't so great, and turned it into a beautiful place. Your mobile home looks so nice, too. I'm thrilled for you!
Tessie, we both think alike I take things that have been discarded and make use of it everything I have has a purpose I make things out of most anything I find :-)
Your place is so neat and beautiful. I'm trying to figure out where to lay out a garden but my land is like a Z so finding a place to put a decent size garden is giving me fits. I may end up with things planted in several spots. We planted in the one wide spot near the creek three years but the area has flooded almost every year since. I'm praying for guidance and believe God will lead me to the answer or send someone to guide me. Have a blessed day.
Tessie, you look beautiful today!! Well you always look beautiful but you just looked like a breath of fresh spring air today ❤ love your land and home, you’ve done so much work, it’s beautiful too! I love your videos and look forward to them! Thanks so much ❤
I bought my house in a foreclosure and it sure needs a lot of work but I have waited my whole life to own a home so I consider myself blessed to have it. I plan to slowly get the tiny 1/3 acre yard the best that I can and fixing up the home to suit me. I don't care that what I have isn't as nice as what others have, its mine and I plan to enjoy every moment of it. It had all the key points that I needed for it to suit me.
You are definitely my inspiration! I am trying to make my small city yard more country and productive. I try to pick more edible plants. I throw out scraps that don't have meat or dairy, just veggies, for the wildlife to eat. I love to watch the birds and squirrels. I have seen raccoons and possums on my RING late at night. Hard to believe that they would come in a city yard, but our neighborhood is older and established, with many bushes and trees. It makes me happy to go outside and know I am doing what I can on my own time and space to cut down on entertainment and expenses. My home is my investment. We barely know what the word "vacation" means, more like staycation or hermit lifestyle. We do help charities, and my husband works part time because he wants spare cash to run his races. Life is good!
I just love your home, your property, your garden and green houses. So incredible. I feel like I am learning so much. I want to make my garden much bigger this year. You inspire me to do more and do it better.
Thanks for giving us a tour of your lovely property. You should be proud of yourselves for accomplishing so much there! I am so glad that I've come across your channel, you're awesome! Keep up the good work! ❤
I love that your older videos are popping up in my feed. You have done so much more improvements since you posted this! Amazing work and love. It shows!

But I am very thankful for everyone's love and kindness towards me I will be giving an update but it will not be today i'm going to be taking the weekend off and just rest a little bit

An amazing video on this educational tour of your homestead Tessie. It is a showcase of what you have achieved and how you have succeeded with so few conveniences. It is also an invaluable guide for anyone wishing to embrace a frugal lifestyle, live simply, happily, and who is not afraid of hard work. 🐾🥰
If you take care of your home it will last. It just depends on the person who lives in the home and how they treat the home. You take very good care of you home. I love this video, but then I love all your videos.
Well, today is our day to go to the Hardly Used. Took you with me Tessie. I was frugal, did see 2 things and thought naw but went back cuz my daughter said she could use what I didn't get. Alas they were gone. I did buy books. God knows what I need...so someone else was blessed. Yes, I have believe that.
Really great video today! Thank you showing around in a little different way and giving such great understanding to the rhyme and reason to your life style there. It really is motivating! Even if one doesn’t have a need to live this way it is still greatly valuable to live that way, one not need to have extreme limitations to be innovative and make the most of one’s home and life. It’s just so rewarding as a person to invest time to live in a more hands on way as they did in past times as the normal way of life. It’s really all very romantic to me to live intentionally this way and build upon it with each season.
You amaze me Tessie! I’m so glad you share the simplicity of living and the joy it brings! I also do a lot of “old fashion” things baking breads canning hanging laundry making soaps etc! You get it !!!! keep being you and blessing us all with your knowledge

We had no electricity over a week ago from the storms moving through Tennessee. We didn't have power for almost 2 days. The longest we had was 2 weeks. That was rough because we have a well and Septic system. Used our generator to keep freezers going and refrigerator. I'm thankful I bought lights that took batteries and candles. Why don't you put the water in the toilet tank? That's where we put ours. I keep containers of water in old juice jugs ,water jugs for emergencies. I have realized that I need to add bleach to them because of the well water. Ours has some green stuff growing in a few of them. Hopefully, you will have power soon.
Just a question Tessie, have you ever had your old electrical wiring checked? Also do you put wood preservative on your deck. That prolongs the life of it. We are about twenty years older than you and have lived on three acres for the last fifty years. I'm just trying to be helpful, not critical. I've been watching you for years and admire your grit and growth. Take care and many blessings to you and Ken and your whole family.
Wonderful video, Tessie. I love your home and property, and would love to live in a place like you have. Your homestead is like an oasis in the middle of this crazy, hectic, tension-filled world. My husband and I have been talking about what the future might hold for us in terms of where we live, etc., but for now, my goal is to use the space we have (even though we're in an apartment and only have a small patio area outside) to create our own "urban homestead". Homesteading is a mindset, right? 😊
Tessie,Today a mobile home here in VERMONT is 80,000.00 dollars for a single wide with 2 bedrooms, two baths without land to put it onyou have to be very well off to own one or be indebtedforever.I tried to buy one and could not believe it.Then by the grace of God I bought a foreclosure house for 48000.00 with enough property to have a huge garden and fruit bushes.Im going to there was also a 10×12 shed on this land.I moved in the day that I bought it and waited for the plumbing and a new furnace in October two year ago.My sister goes looking for cheap property because she also lives in a dirt cheap foreclosure .It is extremely rare to find a home that is livable for 50,000 dollars. And my house isn't perfect needs alot of TLC.I have some flooring I had to tare out and right now I have plywood floors. But I have got some very creative ideas which are going to cost so much less.than hiring Carpenters and buying new flooring. My home is also,my artistic dream I haven't ever been this happy.I am so Blessed.
thank you so much To be honest with you I went a whole week without making them And it was very sad for me I thought maybe if I wouldn't make them people would watch my videos more And it had the opposite effect So from now when every outro will be different
I love your home how you use what you have and are content. To me home is a special place a place of peace and serenity. I love what I have it may not hold monetary value, however it's fun and full of love! Love you my friend.
This was really worth the watching. I wish I had a tad of your grit and know how in growing seedlings. I’m old enough to be your mom but I just can’t seem to get the seedlings to grow. I can do ok with getting them at the greenhouse and putting in the ground but starting myself is a horse of a different color.
This video is genus... Showing everything at the same time. I call this "Tessie's Homestead Estate" it has everything you need and want. I like the front side because of the garden and the large front yard leading up the the well maintained trailer but my very favorite is the back side with all the sunrooms and hide-outs and flower bed with the sheep that I love. I love the wrap around deck and the fire pit and outside sink. Oh I could take up a lot more space blabbing and bragging on your one of a kind oasis but I'll just say I love all of it. If you need a idea later for a video you can do this again with everything blooming and growing because it looks different then. It could be like a part 2 or something. I just saw where you put the old black hand pump and I was just thinking about it a few days ago about when and where you were going to put it.. Sorry I went on and on so long I just got carried away 😂. Great tour tonight and I THANK YOU. Also I loved seeing the sister chicks tonight. See you tomorrow my sisterfriend 👍💙🤗💐
