@@T3XACAN0 lol they have been in decades and neighbours has also been already told them about hauntings many years after that incidents but they still happy in that house nothing much happening untill midnight horror amityvilli movie.
I was just a child when this happened, but it was on the local news for weeks. I lived 30 min away from Amityville at the time. Later in my HS years (1979) after getting my license, a friend and I took a drive just to see the house. Definitely had a creepy vibe as we stopped in front of the house. The house still had the old half moon windows by the chimney, and most of the front of the house was hidden by thick trees.

I agree I would not live there either besides there are houses that are just as beautiful and big and beautiful as that one some one needs to destroy it and build another home after all look how many times that house has been sold that tells me something is still happening there
I live in Amityville. This is a beautiful neighborhood and the home is safely guarded by neighbors. People have been living in the home peacefully for years. The Demon is gone. It left when Ronald Defeo Jr. left. The lutz family...their experiences were real residual activity...BUT were overly exaggerated by The Lutz man of the house...
@@violletteandreotta3657 i also believe that something one day will trigger more activity, also the second couple who only stayed 28 days I though was weird that the husband kind of resembled the son who kilked his family....antbody agree
When all the psychics came there to bless the house and they also did an Exorcism on the house so it's gone. That's why you don't hear anything from the new families.
That depends on where in the projects they are killed...in their apartment, outside in the parking lot, playground, etc.... Usually when you're murdered inside a structure, a window must be opened to allow your soul to leave and cross over or it will be stuck inside for ever or until someone opens the window. I'm pretty sure there are many souls drifting through the projects each night. You should stay out all night and watch.
No ghosts or demons will need to haunt the projects. Most people that lives there are doing their work for them. I know, coz I used to lived in the project before I got the fuck out! I've seen shit that goes down in the projects that makes me think I was living in HELL already lol!
saoud janjua its another word for a ghetto, because: Public housing in the United States is administered by federal, state and local agencies to provide subsidized assistance forlow-income households.Crime, drug usage, and educational underperformance are all widely associated with housing projects.
I drove past it and it’s beautiful. The whole street is lovely and peaceful with impressive homes. I felt a creep factor only because I know the horrible murders that took place inside.
So true!!! Houses don't kill people, people kill people. That is a fact because the house is not haunted...it only the Lutz imagination and maybe they brought bad spirit in the house?
I don't really believe that....I think some things.....horrific could become an imprint.....it sounds crazy and out there, but I think places can hold a memory......or somebody loved it so much/were attached that they couldn't part with it. I really truly believe that there are some things that we can't explain....
Go BigBLUEforLIFE well I have heard there has been some black magic done in that house, if that is the case then yes it would linger and cause problems.
Could u imagine being the pizza guy or mail man or cable guy etc to go to the house. How could the residents have a normal life with out people freaking out and all they want is service
The people who lived there after the Lutz ordeal have balls of steel. If I lived there, I wouldn't be able to block out the images of the boy upstairs (the picture), Jodie (the pig demon), the Defeo carnage, etc. I would essentially mindfuck myself into a blubbering mess. Not good for my health.
Madalyn Magnuson That's Right! DeFeo should have been committed long before he killed his family. His parents simply ignored his bad and threatening behavior.
They are both the same house, just at different times of year. The aerial image the trees have leaves, so it's likely summer, the other image the trees are bare.
This house is truly haunted, I used to live on Long Island and someone knew the Cromarty’s the people that lived there after the lutz and they said they lost relatives in the house that they didn’t want anyone knowing about as they didn’t want the publicity, it’s a horrible place.
Wow that would be an interesting story to hear for sure... I can understand not wanting the publicity though the house already drew enough of that on it's own.
I would spend the night...as long as I could bring my three dogs with me. They'll know if anything is going on in that house, especially my highly intelligent Poodle...and, I'd want to sleep downstairs.
Vanessa O. Yes, it is. But, the one guy was in that house doing renovating work...by himself. He pulled out those two creepy little windows and replaced them with new modern windows and has said that he's spent time alone in the house....no problems...no noises. One person commenting on another site was actually friends with the one brother, Marc. He had been inside the house on numerous occasions and said that nothing was wrong with it...no noises...nothing out of the ordinary. I believe the people who live there and have been in the house, they say the house is fine...I believe them.
The fact nobody has had any so-called supernatural experiences in the house in all of these decades proves the "Hauntings" were a hoax. And there had never been evidence of a spirit world of any kind anyway
I had heard that George was into the occult. Could it be the house was never really haunted? The evil spirits were possibly attached to the family, not the house.
I buy into this theory as well. According to the Lutzes story the haunting followed them, while owners of the house after them report nothing out of the ordinary. Kathy Lutzes sister, Mikki Sexton ,has a book out called Amityville: My Sisters Keeper, in which she describes George's involvement with the occult
A beautiful home with so much potential, I dont believe the bullshit Lutz stories cause they are just disgraceful but if I did own that place I would place flowers in each room to pay my respects.
For those of us who didn't fall for the Amityville Horror Hoax, it's just a regular house. But I gotta admit, I'd be kind of sad living in a house where a crazy dude killed his whole family.
HI, thanx for uploading, i went there 6 years ago, took few pics from outside house ((like every one does)), owners of house come out and invited me in , it was sooo surreal standn in main room were all this ""supposedly"" haunted suff come from ect, !, owners said only creepy stuff happend over the years was pepole comeing up to gawk in through windows and that!!, think ronnie was up for parole there a while back?? any one any info on it?? thanx again , paul, ireland!
So strange how the house looks so nice on the inside, even in the DeFeo crime-scene photos from 1974...yet in the first couple of movies (especially the first one), it looks run-down and just plain "tired". Oddly enough, that seems to ramp up the creepiness factor.
I was doing a comedy show in NYC in 2012, and just out of boredom a friend of mine and I drove up to see the house, just to see the hype. I saw just the windows from the outside, and it was a very, very uncomfortable feeling just be parked 200 feet away from it. The house had a gate/fence around it in between two other houses. I never thought just a set of windows would creep me out as bad as it did.
It's a beautiful house! I'd never buy it or live in it though. Because of the stigma and because I know a whole fam was murdered inside. Bad karma and negative energy will forever be attached to this house and it's sad, cause it's so beautiful.
+stephanie elliott it is not haunted anymore the last three owner live there more than 10-13 years. it is on our mind if you can gain control over mind it is good for you.
+suman das For me it still would be uncomfortable to live there. Haunted or not. Just knowing what happened in that house and that it may have been haunted at one point would freak me out.
+I Am Dee She may have been able to do so, but I would still be uncomfortable living there. Every place which once has been haunted has the potential to be haunted again by evil spirits. Especially in a place as this where something really evil took place at one point. I wouldn't trust it!
+Chris Go Yes you're right but I'd rather not know it and I'd rather live in a place where ppl passed away of natural causes rather than where a brutal evil murder has happened. I lived in houses where ppl have died and they were old and sick. Our fam took care of them before they died there in the house and I never had a probl with that. I even slept in the beds on which they've died on, but the diff is that their death was natural and peaceful. There was no anger, hate, brutality or murder and therfore it was positive energy left behind. In a place like this the negative energy is most likely strong and thick and negative energy attracts negativity and positive energy attracts positivity.
I'm not crazy about the outside color, but the house is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. What a shame such a beautiful home had to have such a tragedy occur there. I think the house is lonely and needs a hundred or so people to have a big party inside and out. Did you see that pool...WOW!!
the inlet(river you called it) is in the very back of the property, the inground pool in right outside the backdoor. is amazing they changed the address and the eye windows in the attic, just to take away any remembrance of the murders or the said to be hauntings of this house. don't think it worked, people will buy this house no matter what. it is way to pretty to not buy it.
I love this house. Always been extremely intrigued by it. However, I could never own said house. Maybe this house is haunted or maybe it’s not, but the fact remains that 6 people were brutally murdered, including three children. This fact would never leave my mind living there. I remember when Lorraine and Ed Warren captured a picture by the upstairs banister of what looks like the spirit of a little boy. Some say it’s legitimate, some say it’s fake. I do know of other occurrences that have happened that most people don’t know about because I know someone from the Defeo days, and there will always be those who say the whole thing was a hoax and there will be those who believe. There are people who lived in the house that did in fact have paranormal experiences, but never spoke up because of the Lutz hoax. I personally believe that the Lutz family did indeed have experiences, but I think it was all blown up for the book and movie. It’s hard to convince anyone of situations that are abnormal unless they themselves experience them first hand.
The oil paintings of the family, one of which is shown on the staircase, were rolled up and buried in the casket with the grandmother. For some reason I find that very disturbing.
now by law you have to tell the buyers the house is haunted if now you can get sued for it in court i found out now that you can get sued if you dont tell a buyer its haunted your house even if its for sale over a million dollars.
+Elsi James That's true in the state where I live. I used to work with someone whose main job was real estate and she told me that realtors aren't required to say if a death/murder took place in the house but that realtors are to give that information if specifically asked.
+Andrew Brendan: Just because a crime took place there doesn't mean its haunted. Fact verses fiction. The murders are a fact, but haunting is pure speculation.
+roisindubh02 I agree with you in a way. I believe at first the Lutz family had to have seen something because why on earth would they jet and leave everything they've ever owned in that house? But I also believe they only saw something because of the occult George Lutz's dad had dabbled in. Once they learned they could make some easy cash they were all about making the story as horrifying as they could! I also believe with all my heart that the house didn't tell Ronald Defeo to kill his family. He took heroine and Lsd regularly. That shit makes you trip balls. Therefore he could've in his mind "heard" and "seen" the "house" telling and possessing him to be an idiot. And the reason none of the other families after the Lutz's seen or heard anything is because they were at peace with the happenings in the house. They probably didn't see anything because they weren't in the occult!
It always was. DeFeo did big drugs and was badtripping when he killed his family. The Lutz made all the story up for fame and fortune. All the owners after the Lutz reported that there were absolutely no paranormal activities in the house.
I'm glad to see this house looking so good inside and outside. To me it's an affirmation of life that the Ocean Avenue house has not been given up on and demolished but has been updated and improved. Some styles look good in all eras but the 1960s/70s style from the time of the Defeos, in my opinion, just looks dated and unappealing and doesn't go well with the Dutch Colonial style. ---Some people have said they wouldn't live in this house because of the murders but do those people know the history of their own homes? If a house has a bad history that history can't be undone but current residents can know about it, have respect for what happened and for the suffering that people went through and those current residents can still enjoy their home and make good things happen in it. To whoever now lives at 108 Ocean Avenue: health, peace, happiness and prosperity to you in your beautiful home.
I recently saw a video of photos taken throughout the house just after the murders . Back then the interiors of the Ocean Avenue house were some of the ugliest I've ever seen. I'm no designer or decorator but I would find it difficult to live in a place with so many patterns and designs and colors and tacky-looking furniture. I wonder if just the surroundings of the DeFeos added, though maybe only a little, to the stress in the family. They lived in a place that was anything but restful to the eye or that would be calming or relaxing.
I also think the house looks beautiful. Getting rid of the 60's updates looks wonderful. But if it were my house the first thing I would do is restore the 3rd floor quater circle windows. I live in a historic neighborhood that has a few 1920's Dutch Colonial revival homes that are almost duplicates of this house & they all have those distinctive windows. I love them! The new square windows take away from the charm if the house. Makes it look generic.
kung puk wouldn’t be the best idea, they only changed the windows so people wouldn’t recognize it. If you changed it people would be standing outside your house and possibly doing stupid things to your house
•lil pump people still recognize it and the address is all over the Internet. People already go there and photograph the house and walk around their property. That is it going to change a lot if he puts back the old windows.
•lil pump I wouldn't care. If I could buy it, I would restore it to what it looked like back when all the stuff went down, including the windows and "red room" (which was really just a small storage space) and turn it into a bed and breakfast.
I do think the families were real and that the house was / is haunted .. but I'm also sure the movie took it way too far.. Hollywood always exaggerates movies to make them good.
Not only would I live in the house, but I would renovate the exterior back to its original design from 1974 painting it dark, putting the eye windows back, and turn it into a tourist attraction during Halloween.
I've always had issue with the body positions. Everyone shot while sound asleep on their stomachs...one by one. Rifles are loud in open air much less closed acoustics of a room. Nobody moved. Nobody woke. I'm certain Butch did it and I'm certain "something" helped.
I agree. rifles r loud as shit. in a closed room probably sound like bomb went off. like not one person was awaken by the shots at any point? it takes time to get from one room to the next. never the less super eerie wa happened there
+Nathan McClain I'm glad to learn this! I'd never known a date for the Ocean Avenue house but based on the style and size was thinking it was from after World War I and more specifically from the 1920's and before the stock market crash.
I clicked on the 3:18 and sure enough you see it immediately because it's like a card in the center ... can't miss it ... colors of beige and outline of face is in black or dark brown. Really creepy! Wonder what it is that would be in the center like that and to have a face on it ... ewwww!!! Really creepy looking!
Christopher Duganberry: I've read your reply comments on here and wonder if you are a psychic or someone who deals with paranormal activity? You sure come across that way. Just wondering. Interesting on some of the things you've been saying.
Went out to Amityville and walked past the home on Ocean Avenue(a beautiful home) one time, I spoke with one of the residents who was out in the driveway tinkering with their car,and they reported nothing occurring in the home of Supernatural proportion. That's not to say that there isn't some residual effects in the home. Still,it was a great tragedy that happened there, may those who lost their lives in the DeFeo family rest in peace.🕊️*I am no relation to the Lutzes, even though my last name is Lutz.*
Did any one notice every picture the blankets were pulled back on all the victoms except the mother and how can you shoot either the mom or dad and the other one not move nobody move ask yourself if you heard a gunshot you were the last one to be shot there you would have heard it five times before it got to you how do you not move very strange very strange I don't understand it
It's a beautiful home, and it's such a shame that it's the scene of a horrific mass murder. It looks so elegant and serene; however, I don't think I would ever be able to live there knowing what had taken place there....it would continually be on my mind.
I am doubtful whether the house was truly haunted. My main question is how did he kill six members of his family alone with that rifle? All six members were lying face-down as if asleep. Why did they not hear the gun and attempt to run and hide? The police tested the gun after the murders and said it could be heard a block away.
+Beachboy51971Videos It was said that the mother was awake when she got killed along with Allison, she was rising up or wide awake when she got shot in the face...Truely Horrific ...I have the book *High Hopes* & what a read that book really is....
It's very peculiar for sure. If There was a second gunman, I would assume that DeFeo would have turned on him. I wonder why they were all on their stomachs? Where they order to do that before they were executed? who was awake and who was asleep? I read high hopes and it was a good read.
+Stanley Blade :deFeo said jt too. (but we know he's a total liar and has said many things over the last 40 years). If you haven't seen it already , Check out his interview with Bellavue hospital shrink. He pauses when he talks about his mom. I found that very intriguing.
The reason why they could not hear the gunshots is because there was a storm and when Ronald Defeo, Jr. shot them...he shot them after the storm sounds to make the gunshots sound blend in with the storm...from what I heard from the Amityville Horror (1979)....not too sure about the Amityville Horror (2005).
Look at he decorations in the room @ 3:47. Now look at the decorations in the room @ 3:52. I find it very interesting. What happened to the "small red room"? Another thing, If you live in a haunted house and want them to go away, You have to renovate / construction. It sounds strange but painting, removing carpet, updating a house will stir up the old energy, That energy will dissipate very quickly during the construction. I know this to be fact
That crime scene photo of the girl in the bed is Ronnie's little sister. I've seen the photos before and its the same wall paper. I think its Allison Defeo. For some reason they never shoe Dawn Defeos crime photos. Maybe because they say her head was blown off. So terribly sad and senseless.
you can see her pic, go to the site documenting reality. its a sicko graphic site full of all sorts of things that make you question humanity, but you can see one pic of Dawn Defeo at the morgue (if they still have them) aswell as Louise Defeo.
Her head was not blown off. Part of the skull was. You have to look really hard to notice it. I never found any photos of Louise. Except the ones with her covered. Even on that website Documenting Reality. Maybe it was taken off.
Geenahgee04 Louise was there she was clutching a gold cross she was wearing at the time, haven't looked at that site for a while. its a bit tooo sicko for me.
Well I would love to live there. It’s so nice and beautiful, I would live alone there with my dog. I would respectfully never touch any of the family’s room.
And I’ve always strongly wondered if any of the Neighbors that lived around 112 Ocean Avenue During those 28 Days that the Lutz’s and their Three Children we’re living their ever so very much had witnessed George and Kathy Lutz Fleeing and Never coming back to that house ever again back on the night that they fled in January of 1976 I wonder ? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 ??
It sounds like the paranormal activity was never an issue, but the people that got so intrigued by the story were. As much as the house got modernized, the best way to get the stalkers away is to demolish the house and build a new one with a completely different look. It's sad because the house does look in great shape. Just not a fan of the sideway entry though.
brave to whoever made the makeover to the house inside and out since then, and for rid of the eyed Attic windows. Given the chance i would stay for 1 night to experience it!!
A house with a demon inside would never allow a contractor to come in and tear the place apart. You know it's not haunted....it's beautiful now. The house has never looked better.
Not necessarily. Sometimes it's the land, and not the physical house that is haunted. I live in New Mexico, some of which is Billy the Kid country. There is plenty out here that i haunted, being the wild west, after all.
No problems have been reported about the house. Even the neighbors have said they've never seen or heard any goings on there. It should be noted that the house is located in an area of high property taxes. No where on Long Island are there any haunted houses in poor, low-income neighborhoods or communities. All the so-called haunted houses are in areas that are affluent or well-to-do. I find that strange. I grew up on Long Island...lived there for 25 years before I left. Just buy the house and enjoy it. A million dollars is a bargain for a home on the south shore....especially a house that big.
Antonio, that is because you are an idiot. Only idiots believe in ghosts. You would turn down a free house because you are afraid of ghosts which is something that little kids are afraid of. That is a fear that should disappear in most normal people when they become adults.
Antonio Rodriguez I would move there immediately if the house was offered to me for free. It is a very nice house. Plus I already live on Long Island so it would not even be a far move for me.
Idk about you but that house looks so much better now than it did in the 70's. Maybe it was the wall paper but it just looked grim, now it actually looks very comforting and welcoming.
My family used to live in a haunted house.. my brother said it was.. i was only a baby and one or two when we moved out in 2002. We loved there for a while and bought the house in 1990. I looked up the house on google maps and I could see my brothers old bedroom window, and when i zoomed in i saw figure standing at the window.. that house was renovated and sold this year and my brother said he went to see it.. he said he noticed odd things but it didnt matter because it wasnt ours... and weird things did happen to my brother when we lived there.
+Peter Martin there is a confussion why not the ghost did not appear infront of the three owner ?rather they appear infront of the lutz couple that mean you have to be choosen one or lucky to see ghost.
suman das It was on google maps i went on the street behind the house and you can see my brothers old bedroom window and you can clearly see a transparent figure standing in the window looking out the window. i showed it to many people and they all agreed.
Yea it was found to be a fraud haunting the paranormal investigators involved were the same ones from the haunting in conneticut (sp) which they admit was fake, and Amityville was found to be fake aswell
+Tony Lindsay Amityville was NEVER found to be fake. A load of PROPAGANDA was put out by others who wanted to sell books on 'proving' it was a hoax, but only idiots believe that story.
Apparently, the owners (after the Lutz family) got so annoyed that people would drive up to the house just to see the “evil eyes windows” that they replaced them with just regular windows.
Thanks for sharing it... never seen inside of the house as it looks now... its a nice house, but I wonder why there was so many buyers that lived there but then moved and why is it always up for sale?? Couldn't afford it? Tired of people coming to see it? Or haunted?? If I bought the house id keep it and not move and maybe turn it into a little hotel and charge big bucks to stay there.
hi, it was a case of every one driveing past ect, people taken pics , and haven the stigma of the whole house, murder and people thinkn it was "haunted" they even changed the number of the house, was 112 but now lower than that!, why they changed it ill never no as it unmistakeable to be honest!,
I wouldn’t live there, not because of the murders, but because of all the people who would be coming by constantly to look at my house, take photos, make vlogs, fly drones overhead, and potentially break in. It would be like living in a tourist trap.
Yes exactly the same way the " evil " native Americans of the tribe were buried on that same land probably the same lot!! Hundreds of years ago! True story! Yes so creepy!!!
People that had tragic deaths are more likely to come back angry and stay at the house. Causing extremely negative energy and possible harm to the new owners. I have a murder house in Biddenden, Kent, England (I don't live in it) which is now abandoned because the previous owners were scared out by unexplainable events
It's a beautiful house but knowing that a whole family was murdered there, I couldn't stay there.
Right!!

+TheCarin12 it would be tempting to go into the basement with a Jack hammer and dig to china to see whats under the ground..
Probably Melinda Gordon helped the trapped spirits in that house and that's why nothing weird happen in the present.
Butch DeFeo Then why did you kill your entire family ?
Or... You know... It's all absolute bollox...

u creepy!
Don't watch it at night. I watched this in the early afternoon. Nothing scares me in the afternoon with the sun out shining brightly.

When all the psychics came there to bless the house and they also did an Exorcism on the house so it's gone. That's why you don't hear anything from the new families.
No matter how beautifully decorated it is, there STILL stands a negative vibe.
nice house. how come no ghost ever come to the projects when people get killed there everyday?
+LouPremo because even ghost are scared of .......
What are the projects? If this is widely known-please don't call me a fool.
saoud janjua its another word for a ghetto, because:
Public housing in the United States is administered by federal, state and local agencies to provide subsidized assistance forlow-income households.Crime, drug usage, and educational underperformance are all widely associated with housing projects.
I honestly don't believe that house was ever haunted. It's a beautiful home & i would totally live there.
They couldn't give me that house if I was homeless
Brody Wolverine true as hell
I’d take it
I drove past it and it’s beautiful. The whole street is lovely and peaceful with impressive homes. I felt a creep factor only because I know the horrible murders that took place inside.
The house🏚 always gets credit for the problems but the house isn't the problem the people in them are the problem
There's some spirits in this house so THE thing in this house is really dangerous.
Melissa Jackson Exactly! Well said!
That music.... Creepy as hell... X
It's from the movie, and make sense because the movie about this house.
R.I.P. DeFeos
If you don't have a pure soul, the house demon won't be able to possess your body or mind.
Christopher Duganberry There was nothing but a hype with no conscious. Ronald Defeo Jr. The only demon in Amityville
Madalyn Magnuson
That's Right! DeFeo should have been committed long before he killed his family. His parents simply ignored his bad and threatening behavior.
I wonder if the house has fast internet broadband speed?
Probably has everything in it...wireless, dish network, etc....
+Christopher Duganberry 😂😂
they got wireless children there
😂😂😂😂
Yes, powerful wireless modem, cable TV, hot and cold water, bodyless voices...
0:36 you can see there are houses very very close to THE house,
0:38 the house seems to have changed location
so which one is the real ?
Julie might have been an older image of the house.
the house is still there its just that the leaves have grown back on the tree so now you can't see the house
They are both the same house, just at different times of year. The aerial image the trees have leaves, so it's likely summer, the other image the trees are bare.
Dude the music scared me with the laughing at the end kinda creepy
Destiny Bentley 😂🤣 me too
Mee too
Pussy
Yes the music was scary enough until the kid started laughing
Haunted or not, that original 1979 movie scared out of my paints.
That music is so scary
This house is truly haunted, I used to live on Long Island and someone knew the Cromarty’s the people that lived there after the lutz and they said they lost relatives in the house that they didn’t want anyone knowing about as they didn’t want the publicity, it’s a horrible place.
Wow that would be an interesting story to hear for sure... I can understand not wanting the publicity though the house already drew enough of that on it's own.
No.. its not.
Its a very beautiful home hate to admit it. However even if the home was free i wouldn't live there.
Chica Latina Because i'm to chicken shit to even spend one night in there.
I would spend the night...as long as I could bring my three dogs with me. They'll know if anything is going on in that house, especially my highly intelligent Poodle...and, I'd want to sleep downstairs.
Christopher Duganberry You have some balls of steel my friend 🙉
Chica Latina Still to creepy for me knowing a family was murdered there.
Vanessa O.
If I bought it I'd knock those square windows out and restore the original quarter moon window look.
Me too
That's exactly what I was thinking
Just heard the news, Ronald DeFeo died justice is finally served and his family can finally RIP.
@MyUshyGushyBussy He died in March this Year in Prison Don't Know Yet what caused his death.

@@dennisvalverde3909 Thats creepy.
@@jyotisanap448 True.
I had heard that George was into the occult. Could it be the house was never really haunted? The evil spirits were possibly attached to the family, not the house.
Maybe you are right!
Food for thought
I buy into this theory as well. According to the Lutzes story the haunting followed them, while owners of the house after them report nothing out of the ordinary. Kathy Lutzes sister, Mikki Sexton ,has a book out called Amityville: My Sisters Keeper, in which she describes George's involvement with the occult
Looks so beautiful inside! Wow. Lots of renovations
Your video was excellent! Thank you so much.
Thank you! :)
He was possessed by a demon.
he was drugged out of his mind that night.
A beautiful home with so much potential, I dont believe the bullshit Lutz stories cause they are just disgraceful but if I did own that place I would place flowers in each room to pay my respects.
Horror rule #1 The ones that don't believe are the first ones to well you know
For those of us who didn't fall for the Amityville Horror Hoax, it's just a regular house. But I gotta admit, I'd be kind of sad living in a house where a crazy dude killed his whole family.
Drug addict with anger management issues and a psychological disorder. They better never let him out. He will definitely ruin more lives.
Top left window at 00:51. It looks like there is someone looking out of the window..
Omg it does
Wow, you're right.
pareidolia!
How could something so beautiful be the scene of so much death and terror?
HI, thanx for uploading, i went there 6 years ago, took few pics from outside house ((like every one does)), owners of house come out and invited me in , it was sooo surreal standn in main room were all this ""supposedly"" haunted suff come from ect, !, owners said only creepy stuff happend over the years was pepole comeing up to gawk in through windows and that!!, think ronnie was up for parole there a while back?? any one any info on it?? thanx again , paul, ireland!
I would love to have a opportunity like that. I'd even live there, it's not like I haven't lived in a haunted house before.
My name is Ronnie 👁️👄👁️
Died in Prison
So strange how the house looks so nice on the inside, even in the DeFeo crime-scene photos from 1974...yet in the first couple of movies (especially the first one), it looks run-down and just plain "tired". Oddly enough, that seems to ramp up the creepiness factor.
In day it looks like a super luxury house but real thing starts at night
Damn those windows were iconic. Wish they hadn't changed them
I was doing a comedy show in NYC in 2012, and just out of boredom a friend of mine and I drove up to see the house, just to see the hype.
+MuStHaNg “M” MaRiE Yeah all the beauty in the world can't get the negativity of a brutal murder out of a house.
There is a huge, in-ground swimming pool in the back yard. I'm surprised you didn't know that.
the inlet(river you called it) is in the very back of the property, the inground pool in right outside the backdoor.
is amazing they changed the address and the eye windows in the attic, just to take away any remembrance of the murders or the said to be hauntings of this house. don't think it worked, people will buy this house no matter what. it is way to pretty to not buy it.
Christopher Duganberry IKR!!!

Screaming Tima I believe.
I support it. I think currently if the house was haunted I believe it wouldn't be reported from fear of unwanted attention.
home beautiful then and beautiful now. thanks for posting...RIP to the DeFeo family
The oil paintings of the family, one of which is shown on the staircase, were rolled up and buried in the casket with the grandmother. For some reason I find that very disturbing.
imagine purchasing the house and watching the amityville movie in he family room ! XD
now by law you have to tell the buyers the house is haunted if now you can get sued for it in court i found out now that you can get sued if you dont tell a buyer its haunted your house even if its for sale over a million dollars.
Actually that's only if the potential buyers ask.
+Jessica Elliott : well said. I agree with you 100%
That's actually a beautiful house.
I'm glad this house seems to finally be at peace
Andrew Brendan That was the style of the time.
That was awesome!!!!!!!!!! Thanks dude!!!!
Real nice house. Love the back yard
Well it looks good but it is not a good home

This is one of the better videos I've seen about this house. 😃😃
I would buy it in a hartbeat if i was a rich dude, and put the old windows back!
kung puk wouldn’t be the best idea, they only changed the windows so people wouldn’t recognize it.
If I could buy it, I would restore it to what it looked like back when all the stuff went down, including the windows and "red room" (which was really just a small storage space) and turn it into a bed and breakfast.
kung puk. Frfr. Looked better with the old windows
The laughing combined with the music gives me chills
I dare someone to play ouiji in that house and then play this song three times a day 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I've always had issue with the body positions.
Everyone shot while sound asleep on their stomachs...one by one.
Rifles are loud in open air much less closed acoustics of a room. Nobody moved. Nobody woke.
I'm certain Butch did it and I'm certain "something" helped.
I agree. rifles r loud as shit. in a closed room probably sound like bomb went off. like not one person was awaken by the shots at any point? it takes time to get from one room to the next. never the less super eerie wa happened there
I want to buy that house, I will read a prayer, for all those who are not at home.
Excellent job on the before and after pics. Looks amazing from the inside. I wonder when it was built.
1928, the original house on the lot was moved to Ireland St.
+Nathan McClain I'm glad to learn this! I'd never known a date for the Ocean Avenue house but based on the style and size was thinking it was from after World War I and more specifically from the 1920's and before the stock market crash.
The music is Eire the story is already sad enough lol
Did anyone else see the little face in the flower arrangement at 3:18 ?
+Noobyvapes Noobyvapes Yeah, it does look like a face.
There are faces everywhere.
I don't see it
I clicked on the 3:18 and sure enough you see it immediately because it's like a card in the center ... can't miss it ... colors of beige and outline of face is in black or dark brown.
Love the night shot of the updated house. It actually looks a little creepy. Living room still looks a little the same.
I would never purchased this house ever even it would sale in cheapest price bravo to those who resided there even after those incidences
I was a friend of Dawn and was around that house many times. I can assure you its creepy.
The crescent squarish windows up top are instantaneously recognizable-and creepy!
They should have left the house as one of America’s history museum
Did any one notice every picture the blankets were pulled back on all the victoms except the mother and how can you shoot either the mom or dad and the other one not move nobody move ask yourself if you heard a gunshot you were the last one to be shot there you would have heard it five times before it got to you how do you not move very strange very strange I don't understand it
Such a beautiful home.
+Beachboy51971Videos they said the night of the murders it was an awful storm going on
The reason why they could not hear the gunshots is because there was a storm and when Ronald Defeo, Jr. shot them...he shot them after the storm sounds to make the gunshots sound blend in with the storm...from what I heard from the Amityville Horror (1979)....not too sure about the Amityville Horror (2005).
The photo isn't there of Louise any longer.
anyway I think its long overdue that these poor people should be just left alone to rest in peace.
Why ,all of the sudden is the house blurred on Google Street view? It never used to be.
Call me crazy but I would love to live there. I do not believe in Paranormal activity....
+MissMoon "haha thats what they all say in the beginning of horror movies

Totally crazy.
If you pause at 2:38 you can easily see a face in the First window (Third small window box).
Weird.
PCTVTutorials Trick of the light ;)
This house is beautifully redone. But in the 1960’s and 70’s, the DeFeo’s had their home decor styled up to date in that time period.
Beautiful house. I’d totally live there. And I’d totally leave if I saw or experienced anything paranormal!
Sadly the defeos died 😢
brave to whoever made the makeover to the house inside and out since then, and for rid of the eyed Attic windows.
Very well made and respectful video, thank you for sharing :)
I wouldn't live there at all not even if the rent was free
Antonio, that is because you are an idiot. Only idiots believe in ghosts. You would turn down a free house because you are afraid of ghosts which is something that little kids are afraid of. That is a fear that should disappear in most normal people when they become adults.
Jenkins1155 lmfao thanks for sharing your comment 😂😂😂😂
Jenkins1155 why don't you go live there then i bet you wouldn't even last a week
Antonio Rodriguez
I would move there immediately if the house was offered to me for free. It is a very nice house. Plus I already live on Long Island so it would not even be a far move for me.
Jenkins1155 lol okay 😂👌🏽
Idk about you but that house looks so much better now than it did in the 70's. Maybe it was the wall paper but it just looked grim, now it actually looks very comforting and welcoming.
Notice in the remolded version the slanted windows that looked like eyes have been replaced with regular rectangular windows.
How did u tube algorithm not ban this video ?????
My family used to live in a haunted house.. my brother said it was.. i was only a baby and one or two when we moved out in 2002. We loved there for a while and bought the house in 1990. I looked up the house on google maps and I could see my brothers old bedroom window, and when i zoomed in i saw figure standing at the window.. that house was renovated and sold this year and my brother said he went to see it.. he said he noticed odd things but it didnt matter because it wasnt ours... and weird things did happen to my brother when we lived there.
no they bold it down 20 years later in future, there a documentary
Wow that's scary! what kind of things did your brother experienced?
+Peter Martin there is a confussion why not the ghost did not appear infront of the three owner ?rather they appear infront of the lutz couple that mean you have to be choosen one or lucky to see ghost.
Smiler Lau things touching him stuff like that
suman das It was on google maps i went on the street behind the house and you can see my brothers old bedroom window and you can clearly see a transparent figure standing in the window looking out the window. i showed it to many people and they all agreed.
Beautiful video! I really do like the way the house looks now.
The house was never haunted.
Yea it was found to be a fraud haunting the paranormal investigators involved were the same ones from the haunting in conneticut (sp) which they admit was fake, and Amityville was found to be fake aswell
+Joseph OBrien Yes it was.
+Tony Lindsay Amityville was NEVER found to be fake. A load of PROPAGANDA was put out by others who wanted to sell books on 'proving' it was a hoax, but only idiots believe that story.
Well if an entire family was murdered there, isn’t it already haunted?
3:36 bro was that Patrick star?
This kinda remind me the new meme : THE MAN BEHIND THE SLAUGHTER.
Isn't it strange that everyone was killed laying on there fronts and shot in the backs ? 🤔 very strange but true .
Yes exactly the same way the " evil " native Americans of the tribe were buried on that same land probably the same lot!! Hundreds of years ago! True story! Yes so creepy!!!
@@danoconnor8795seriously? I never knew that. Now that's creepy AF
People that had tragic deaths are more likely to come back angry and stay at the house. Causing extremely negative energy and possible harm to the new owners. I have a murder house in Biddenden, Kent, England (I don't live in it) which is now abandoned because the previous owners were scared out by unexplainable events
