There are 4 pivots near my house, 3 of them use Komet twin 101s and there was a new valley pivot put up last summer, it has a SR100 on it. Komet seems to be popular where i live , not many pivots i see use Nelson, I know Komet is cheaper but i just dont like the fact that theyre mostly made of plastic. Nelson's SR guns are aluminum so they last longer. theyre also more expensive but they do last longer. I have some old fast reverse guns by nelson a PC100 and P150 that were rebuilt and still are going to this day. I've always loved the FR design, seeing the gun whip back in reverse from the crazy water pressure.
I was at a dealer and seen a Komet Twin 101 that a squirrel had chewed up. It was a loss. Would have cost more to fix it than to buy a new one. The pivot got too close to a treeline and the squirrel chewed it. It sucks because Komet guns are nice, it just sucks 90% of them are plastic unlike the nelson guns. The farmer bought a new SR100 which shouldnt have that problem again.
