The downtown Region is quite clever when you think about it. It gives the Player time to ease into it, especially after joels death (in a sense let them mourn) before throwing you into more Chaos and more linier sections later.
Excuses excuses, you don't need bar chords to be a good guitar player. Where there is will theres a way. Yo do need to spend a little time each day tho. It gets better.

There's crazy people who have made actual covers with that guitar mechanic, like you can find Ellie playing Metallica here on youtube.

I love how the fear of copyright is ruining moments for people. Such a sad money hungry world we live in.
Ellie singing Future Days but not being able to bring herself to sing beyond the first line hits hard. Joel sang that for her, but for Ellie, it's very much a reality now, she did lose Joel, and all she can bring herself to sing is "If I ever to lose you" in that moment. Shows just how much she's hurting and how much she may be struggling internally.

The last of us ESPECIALLY Part 2 has honestly some of the best combat and stealth mechanics I've ever seen in a video game, I'm honestly so excited for this playthrough and the wild ride and emotional journey it'll take you on! I really hope you are enjoying you're time with this game and after this, I'm even more excited what else you're gonna play. Watching someone play games who's hardly played any especially ones that I absolutely adore, makes me rather jealous wishing I could go back and experience it all over again for the first time!! ❤️☺️
Yeah, totally. I am a musician as well and those moments just get right into me. I was so moved by the Take On Me scene, I had to stop playing the game. I watched it on TH-cam over and over and over and just revelled in the intimacy of it. That is what got me. Playing an acoustic guitar in a room with one person when you have their undivided attention is so much more vulnerable than playing in front of hundreds of people. That is one of the things I love so much about this scene; they create that feeling so well. Ellie doesn't really sing it in full voice because you often don't when it is just you and another person and your voice gets weak on some of the notes where you need to push it a bit. Ashley Johnson just has that so right. The motion capture of the way she awkwardly is rocking her head and the animation of her face where you can tell she is sort of going 'I feel a bit silly being vulnerable like this' (especially at the "It's no better to be safe than sorry" line) is just so spot on and so relateable. The same with when she does the goofy face when she finishes playing. It captures the real emotion of playing to someone like that perfectly.

I'm sooo happy you found the guitar in the music shop! So many others missed it because it was optional. For me though, it was the first place I wandered into. My eyes watered when she started playing Joel's song 😢❤
