    Great job. I wonder if the manufacturers pay attention. Sometimes at RV shows I am amazed at the lack of functionality and common sense of the designs. Most of them should be watching your channel.

    • @RVwithTito
      @RVwithTito  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think they should watch my channel too :) It's been a while since we've visited an RV show. When we go, we're usually just looking for DIY project ideas. Most of the time, I come away with very few.

      It would do no good. The RV industry is stuck in the malaise of mediocrity. Nothing has changed in forever. Its better to find the shell you like and do what Brian has done. Its a lot of work but really...even an airstream is crap inside compared to what you can do yourself. Whoops...did I say that last bit out louid? My bad...

    • @slister45
      @slister45 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@geraldhenrickson7472 It's for exactly the reasons you stated that I chose an older model RV with low mileage. Every component in it still works great (although we did replace the house battery) the structure is sturdy, and the cabinetry is solid wood. It doesn't look cheap and flashy like so many of the newer models do.

      Sandra Westley from the UK normally our vans are updated every 2 years or so with light furniture and better colour soft furnishings, as there’s a fair bit of competition within the manufactures, but we have much more insulation and aluminium roofs sandwiched with insulation, I am amazed at these rubber roofs that they do, with only a life of about 12 years, we have never had anything like that, it’s always been for 45 years proper aluminium roofs. When I was a child using my uncles van so that’s nearly 70 years ago we still had aluminium roofs.

    I can't wait to get rid of the carpet in my Class C! There's no way to keep it clean, especially since it's impractical to take your shoes off every time you enter the RV.
    I love the removable cup holders. They can get dirty! Your little removable table is brilliant!

    • @RVwithTito
      @RVwithTito  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was many years coming, but we're so happy not to have carpet anymore. Glad you liked the little table :) I'm using it right now as a mousepad.

    As a fellow 32 ft. Class C owner, your videos have been an inspiration to me. Your completed RV improvements are my planned improvements! Some are finished, some are still on the spreadsheet to be done. The lighting change to the round LED type really updates the look of the cabin. Our layout was a bit different. We removed the double bunks and replaced the bottom bunk with a full desk area. Another improvement that I did was add a hinged lid to one of the large drawers in the bedroom in front of the bed as well as changed the drawer slides to 100 lb units. That drawer is now dual purpose. It's a dirty laundry drawer and since the bed is too high it's a seat to sit on to change clothes. Solar addition is next. Keep up the great videos.

    • @RVwithTito
      @RVwithTito  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We should start a club for large C owners :) By the way, that lid on the drawing idea is genius. Love it!

    great stuff ! i dont really like the wood cabinet colors, i would instead paint them white with a glossy finish, but the most important is that you like it.
    Those little things like the wall mounted tissue paper holder are really game changing.
    I really like these detailed videos, youtubers these days tend to skip skip skip most of their raw footage, compress everything to 5 minutes, not even leaving a pause between sentences and they add silly techno music to keep people hypnotized with ton of sponsor ads, but here the simplicity of the presentation is just so relaxing and pleasing to watch. 5 stars !!!

    • @RVwithTito
      @RVwithTito  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much for the great feedback. I really appreciate it. It can be difficult to decide what to show and what not to show. There was a ton to cover in this video which could have easily been multiple videos. I'm glad the length didn't scare you away. Yes. We love the paper towel holder too :)

    Nice work on your upgrades and mod’s. I’ve been inspired by your use of magnets and when we had our 30’ Airstream and in our new house, I’ve used magnets for so many items. They are easily hidden, work without batteries and are simple to use. Thanks for your ideas and the time it takes to do these video’s.

    Tito you and I are so alike it's scary. I almost bought a 2006 Winnebago like yours with 17,000 miles for 22,000 witch was a steal but I had an upcoming and now done shoulder replacement so I hope by spring I find another at that price point. I'm also monitoring the gas situation with our marvelous new President if you get my drift. Great job on the upgrades, I too have have done several upgrades over the years, and because it changes just a little bit all the time, it is surprising the difference when looking at old pictures of our rig just at how much has changed. One thing I would like to mention, about the RecPro recliners, I too have them, but they always bothered my lower back. I ended up removing the bottom wooden support bar inside of the backrest. Waaaaay more comfortable, and does not cause any support problems to the back rests. I have been using it that way for over a year now.

    I really enjoy all of your videos, they are so informative. I have a 2008 Thor Chateau Sport 29R that I have been renovating and all was going fairly well until it came time to work on the Overhead Bunk Area. I bought it used and looked it over very carefully before the purchase, although my experience was limited to a small, brand new travel trailer. I keep a cover over it when it is not being used. From the time of the purchase until I got to the overhead bunk, mold had seeped through the underlayment below the cushions, which was a total surprise. I have no idea if the previous owner covered the damage or the dealership did. It's neither here nor there, at this point. After reinforcing the seams in the roof area, I have been tearing out the floor of the bunk area, ceiling and passenger side wall, where all of the damage is. The wood was crumbling so badly that I did not even realize I was pulling on very thin sheet metal. My question is, does new sheet metal need to be replaced on the ceiling before I put in new plywood? There are about 3 thin strips (5 inches) and don't seem to be attached to anything. Only half the ceiling is bad, the remainder seems to be in good shape. Should I replace the entire ceiling? I'm pretty handy, have all of the tools and I know I can do this.. I can't afford to have the dealership do it. I just can't find any videos that are providing the information that I am looking for. I want to see the demolition, not just the rebuild. Any ideas would be more than appreciated!! Thank you!!

I know I’ve mentioned this to you already but (ITH) Incredible Tiny Homes would give anything to have you. This is my personal question to you, would you ever consider building a tiny home? I’m really interested in one and I have watched all your project videos and your work is so neat and well thought out and your intelligence is amazing, I wouldn’t even hesitate to hire you to build my little dream tiny home approximately 8x16 or so. We have a 32 ft class almost the exact layout as yours. Side isle with 3 long windows love it.. You have given us many great ideas for our remodel. Thank you! Would you consider selling plans for your desk/telivator cabinet lol we removed our table from the slide and are putting our couch there. We want to build a lift cabinet We just bought the lift. I like your bedside shades too! We are thinking about maybe putting a fireplace heater in the cabinet.

    Hi Brian.....loved the projects you did. Can you do a video on your tow hitch? How you decided on that particular one, what modifications you had to make for it to both the car and the RV. Originally thinking not to tow, but rethinking over getting stranded one day cause RV won’t start and can’t get cell reception. Thanks.

    The stove hood usually has a fire prevention function, too. Did you treat the bottom of the cabinet above the stove with a fire retardant in case of a flare-up?

    • @RVwithTito
      @RVwithTito  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Didn't think of that. Thanks. I appreciate the heads up. Maybe I'll add something there later. We don't use the stove much and often use an induction burner anyway that we setup on the counter. So it's usually not an issue.

    Hi there, I looked on Amazon for the lifting device and couldn't find it after using a few searches! Will you please let me know exactly what you used and how big your TV is? I have an almost new 55" Sony OLED tv that i hate parting with when i move into my RV and have thought of mounting it but love your set-up much better. I hope to be a full time traveling RVer in the near future and thank you very much for all the information.

    • @RVwithTito

      The TV is 32" which was the max for the lift and cabinet dimension. You're correct, the lift I used (amzn.to/3W8G3r5) is no longer available. If you find another one that works, please share. Happy hunting.

    Might I suggest oval or rectangular bins for your soap/bottle dispensers on the countertop. Use the command picture hangers on the bottom to keep them in place. Use enough for the weight. They lay flat and are less wobbly than hook and loop fasteners. Less stuff to move on moving day. I love them.

      Hi Sharon. I used a couple of conduit clamps that went over the rear rail underneath the screwed it to the floor. I found that anchoring the back was all that was needed so it didn't rock forward when reclined. Hope that helps.

Out of warranty and out of luck per recpro. “Buy new ones or reupholster”. I’m trying the Amazon peal and stick but wife is not happy and wants cloth.
