I love his music a ton. I've met him twice. He's exactly what you'd expect. Down to Earth, humble and nice as you could imagine. Lifelong fan he created here.
You'll find out soon both of them are CIA plants. Look up a guy named Miles Mathis. He goes through celebrity genealogy and puts the pieces together of why they are elevated due to their relatives' bloodlines.
I miss those high notes on the chorus, but we all hit that point at a certain age - and he still has a beautiful voice. Easily the most underrated songwriter of the 90's in that he should be so much more widely known and appreciated than he is. GLB released at least 3 of the best albums of that decade. It's infuriating how little they're talked about.
Grant Lee saved my life ☘ I was very depressed after my father died and I thought I'd not survive this grieve... 💔 ... then I discovered Grant Lee, heard his beautiful voice and bought the 'Mighty Joe Moon' CD! 👍🏻 ... and all of a sudden I had a reason to live on 💗 Later I saw him live in Germany/Frankfurt... that was one of the best days in my life!!! Grant Lee shaked my hand back then and I guess I didn't wash my hands for about three days 😁✌🏻 Thank you... Grant Lee Buffalo 🙏🏻
There were three bands I discovered in the 90' s. The Jayhawks, Tragically Hip and Grant Lee Buffalo. I still love them till today. This era was not only Techno and Hip Hop it was so much more. Oh I almost forgot The Black Crowes and the Counting Crows How could I.
Sad song, best song. This song has always made its way back into my life and heart, for 25 years now. It will be played on my last day if I've any say in the matter.
I remember being at a friends house and the video for this came on MTV and I just stopped what I was doing and got lost in it.. the very next day I went hunting for their CD and Fuzzy was the only one they had in stock so I bought it and put Mighty Joe Moon on order.. I was in for such a treat catching up on both of those albums.
Real musicianship, right here! Although I am confused about the lyric "I thought if I towed the right lines"... seems to make more sense if " I toed the right lines"...
The guitar with violin makes a great sound. This is a wonderful performance.
Grant Lee Phillips is one of America’s greatest songwriters and voices.
Devastation, at last. What an absolute treasure. Thanks Grant.
Such a beautiful voice. Grant needs more recognition.

uuuhhhhh - beautiful . "You swallowed my pride"
What a voice! Underrated artist! A tragedy! MJM was one of the best albums of the 90s!
Why is this natural talent put on the back shelf while we're bombarded with Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish?
Most people don't like to feel things too deeply
You'll find out soon both of them are CIA plants. Look up a guy named Miles Mathis. He goes through celebrity genealogy and puts the pieces together of why they are elevated due to their relatives' bloodlines.
the mighty Grant Lee Phillips - maybe the best singer/songwriter of the past 20 yrs or so
Maybe?
Such a gifted songwriter. Mighty Joe Moon is my favorite album. A master class in guitar/piano songwriting!!!

I can listen to him sing for hours. Straight to the soul.
I don’t know why everybody in the world don’t know this beautiful voice. ❤️

This made my day
This song is amazing!
I saw him in the early nineties. So gifted. He deserves more recognition.

That’s a strong statement. Wow. I take it you must’ve seen him/them live more than a couple times back in the day? ✌️
I do miss those high falsettos in the album version, but damn those breathy low notes are pretty damn sweet.
Magnificent. Gives me the chills.
Every GLP's song is a story..and every story is a piece of beautiful music.....and such a voice.....beautiful
Such a quaint little ditty..the song just rocks!!😋🤘
My heart swells with happiness!
Years later and he still sings like an angel❤
A truly great song from an epic album! One of my all time favorites. Thank you GLB!
One of the most wonderful voice of these last decades in folk music
What a beautiful song and great performance. Underrated artist.
God that's great. That's something magical right there.
Love his voice and the way he brings a song. The songs are so good as well

A gem
Uma pena não ter reconhecimento pois é um baita som ❤️
A banda mais subestimada dos anos 90, sem dúvidas.
Molto bravo
Fantastic execution.
Dude produces Novels in a song
Perfect description of his work 👍
So great!
Outstanding! How about Happiness!
wow
❤❤❤
Bellissima
The gossamer thread to my youth has been cast away here, just like his capo and falsetto. God, I’m old. 😖
Splendida! Una delle migliori canzoni scritte negli anni 90.
😍😍😍
Great version! @WNRN Please change to title of the song to Mockingbirds! :) Thanks!
starlight festival.
Gilmore girls 👧?
Quelle voix incroyable ❤
Wonderful
Legend! Timeless
Spettacolo
❤️
Gold...!!
What happened to his falsetto?
Unfortunately there is no market for Grant but there is a market for Thug rap music.
Very true, and so sad.
Beautiful What a gift he has
It's a more select though appreciative audience. I am another who has had time for him since I first heard Buffalo in 93.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🇲🇽
What are the chords hes using here?
Those first few notes sound just like Stairway to Heaven. Crazy. I wonder if he did that on purpose because thematically it certainly fits.
That falsetto hurts when we get long in the tooth
Gilmore Girls
*Birds Song*
Kind of reminds me of Jeff Buckley
And he is so nice! GLP is the best
