What month was this video filmed? What month is the best time to fish? Is there a fishing ban in the Tahoe and is it possible to catch a fish called Kokanee salmon during spawning in the streams that flow into the Tahoe? Thanks in advance.
@@homeinthesierras3648 appreciate it bud. I'm going to head to the chimney beach area. Looking for my first laker. Been doing good on rainbows. Keep it going 💪🇺🇸
Thanks for the support! Fishing from the shore in Tahoe is tough. Stick with it and you’ll hook some nice ones. Took me several attempts to figure out this water
Nice fish! Other than the needle and worm, how did you have your line rigged up? Also, any advice for fishing those shorelines in a kayak in late July?
I use a 1 oz egg weight and 4-5 ft leader. I also use 6 lb test but would probably recommend 8 lb. I’ve never kayak fished here but I’d recommend deeper water a little off shore in late July. Thanks for watching!
Shore fishing on Tahoe is definitely less productive than from a boat but it is still a great time. I’d recommend east shore for the best shore fishing
I'd like to know your terminal tackle set up
Nice, very nice, I am delighted.
Thanks for watching!
Big trout
Any way you could list the setup you're using? rod/reel/line/hook size/sinker size, etc. Thanks!
I was using 6 lb test with ~4 ft leader, 1 oz sinker, and #6 hook. Any medium action rod/reel setup will work
@@homeinthesierras3648 thanks bro
Nice Greys bro! Nice keepers . Good cookin!
Thank you!
Thats awesome. I live in Incline Village, and been lucky few times catching almost that size trouts.
Thanks for watching!
Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
What side of the lake is that? Almost looked like the right side entrance to emerald bay?
This is on the east shore off of highway 28
@@homeinthesierras3648 nice catches bro. New subscriber here. Tight lines 🎣
Thanks for watching! New subscriber here for you too
Nice! New subscriber!
Thank you!!

The kokanee salmon spawn at tahoe is amazing. Taylor creek late Sept, early Oct. No you cannot catch them while spawning.
Nice catches glad to see the shore is bitting again over there. Tried right after the storm and only saw a few bites
It’s still hit and miss depending on the day but east shore overall produces pretty well. Thanks for watching!
Nice catches! Around when does warming water force the macks back down deep?
Thanks for watching! I think June when the water temperature hits mid 50s starts getting too warm for them
Where on the lake?
I'm new to lake fishing since I've been saltwater fishing my whole life. What are you injecting the worms with?
Thanks for sharing. Awesome catch. North of Sand Harbor ? Decent depth where you were fishing ? . Awesome place to fish, love it. JD
I was south of sand harbor a ways. Depth was good with lots of rocks and boulders for fish to hide in. Thanks for watching!

Nice work and pretty fish. I skunked the last two times I was out there about same spot. The underwater shot was great. Just subbed!

good job
Is there bass in that water?
No
Great job, from shore! I have never seen anyone fish or catch fish from shore at Tahoe!
Thank you! I rarely see people too which is surprising considering the lake fishes pretty well
It's better that way!
Is this the CA side or NV side?
Nevada
Right on. I’ve been really interested in fishing Tahoe. Only been on charter would like to know about where and what bases.
