People told me to „learn how to aim“ as I missed a broadside, not moving ship at 14km 2 times with Kansas. Clearly this isn’t a bug, you just have to learn how to aim /s
Just give player full control on how we want to shoot and not with this ass aim-assisted could be the best addition we could get ( Right after removal of submarine&carrier of course )
Remember when they added all that underwater terrain to accommodate subs? I wonder if that's not doing something wonky with the aimpoint as the water gets shallower?
An illiterate shouldn't comment on their undevelopment@@gennnrl Thermal Layers? Convergence Zones? They've been in use by Submariners since WW2. You can read about the rest.
Thumbs up for absolute GOAT Shimakaze teammate! That guy deserves a medal: - he fought the cap and gunned down enemy DD in the process (and survived), - listened to chat and went hunting the sub around Flamu TWICE in this game and helped to chase it down. Absolute chad and player, great DD escort provided and teamplay made. I started watching him since the gunfight in C and was not disappointed. And the fact he is only 17,9k Shima and yet still capable of all of this is even more impressive :)
Hi Flamu, I'm a long time fan who have not seen your vids for years, during which I got dianosed with severe depression due to toxic work environment. When I quitted the job and visted my psychiatrist, she told me to pick up something I used to enjoy a lot. I felt the world was up side down and almost did something bad to myself. However, when I happened upon your vids again a few weeks ago, I felt that the world finally got some color again. So I binge watched almost 60 of your vids and I feel so much better now. Watching Flamu ranting against CVs and wargaming like he always does helped me relocate a normalcy of this world, if that make any sense. Anyway thank you for your good work Flamu!
Flamu I fully understand your frustration. Try playing a Mino, aiming your crosshair at the superstructure of a BB, and watching your shells hit like 3 feet short
I like how the DM had two modes: afking and killing himself. Hagostaedmann had a quote about how players can only have a binary choice between those options, they can never understand trying to walk the thin line of playing like a human
To be fair, DM feels like shit to play nowadays. You can't long range farm, and you aren't stealthy enough to get close to support, especially when there are cv or sub in the game. Not to mention everybody and their mother overmatch 30mm now you may as well play Brisbane with better radar and being stealthier too.
@@athras8822 Its just not as braindead as it used to be. desmo's strong point has always been her dpm, the radar coming second and the 27-30 mm armor scheme only being an occasionally useful feature. If you notice in this match, the three BBs on that flank were headed towards/already at the center side so if the DM had gone to right side of the island he would have survived instead of sitting bow in to three overmatching BBs. But yeah in general DM on account of being a cruiser is CBT to play rn especially with the libertards and colombos running around
Minimap position is simply closer to the one used for targeting shells than the position of your crosshair in "main view". The cause are de-syncs or more probably delays when rendering the "camera view". Spaghetti coding. The original BigWorld engine was aimed towards networking gaming for MMO, and didn't support real-time interactions like hundreds of artillery shells with just a few-second travel time which have to hit precisely the desired point of the enemy structure. The whole gunnery spaghetti is genuine custom-made Russian Deezayn, Tovarish.
I think subs could've been a more interesting addition if they were more supportive and maybe had high damage but pretty long reload. I'm not a game developer so I'm not sure what one could've done, but as of right now they're terrible to fight against. Majority of the time you just feel griefed and there's nothing you can do about it since the sub is constantly invisible. If only we had more capable ASW, more modern ones to fight off these creatures. I mean, we have cold war era ships so...
Also landing a torpedo should be more challenging than just point and click and have the torpedoes move by themselves. I think if they were basically torpedo boats that had to lead their torpedoes I wouldn't have that much of a problem with them
We had a same Experience in a CW Game, Flat Broadside Conde on 13km, Myself (Burst Fire in Conde) and a Stalingrad shot him, literally ALL Shells landed in the Water,. Enemy Conde recieved not even 5k DMG.
You should see how Vermont performs on WoWs Legends. That thing is terrifying scary with AL Colorado and AL New Jersey You should see it via the CCs from Legends
Theory: island height adds up to shell travel distance calculated by algorithm. This makes up for "short" shots. For as why does it do with ships "near" island, it may be CV fault, as I think there are " obstacle hitboxes" for when planes have to climb and descend around islands.
I have 10K + games with an average 30% gun shots on target (not brilliant, but it is what it is) I took St Vincent out recently and had a game where I landed 8 shots out of 87 fired. I just stopped playing after that
So I´m not imagining things. I just unlocked the Akizuki and was wondering if its because of the high arc or something but the game actually just doesnt work :D
Looking at this gameplay it makes me really sad, because of the state of the game. The gunnery in this game is so painfully broken i can't believe it. I'm usually farming in my JB, but i just wanted to get the NIORD to get some changes. The problem is not with the ship, it starts with the gunnery. I just can't citadel anyone in that ship. Yesterday played a game, where i was shooting at brodside targets and had 58k dmg after 12 minutes of constant shooting without torp hits and citadels. Pure overpens, short running shells on almost standing targets. Hate the fact that the game is not rewarding at all. Hiting someone with 3 overpens, when you are angled and recieve back 10k in return. As a 59-60% overall averaged out around 85k. Almost made me sell the ship right away. Of course the same happend to me when i took a potshot over the island on a Hindi and tripple cit her. Shameful.
If they’d just let us have the ability to turn the automatic aiming off so our shells would go where our crosshairs point it would solve all of our problems. Hell, our average damage per game would probably go up too.
At this point I wonder if the height of the island adds up to the distance of the shell travel calculation, disturbing the algo thus landing shots short.
I´d love for someone to actually calculate the Horsepower you would need to go 45 below the surface...with an Archerfish hull.... I bet it would need a Powertrain comparable to the U.S.S.Enterprise
You'd need some kind of dark matter reactor running on neutron star material to go that fast. All jokes aside, you'd have to have at least as much shaft horsepower as an Iowa. 212k hp in a Balao hull. Wargaming wizardry strikes again.
What about the electric system required to generate a hologram large enough to conceal a ~300ft +100ft high destroyer traveling at +40knkts from 5.6km/3.48 miles away. Meanwhile, a submarine on the surface with a 10ft conning tower is visible from the surface from ~7km...
Flamu: *Spends the whole video joking about how the best way to play the game is when you can't see the enemy ships.* Also Flamu: "I can't see the enemy submarine, wtf"
Another gunnery tips: when the ship is bow in, you get tighter dispersion. When the ship is broadside, you get wider dispersion. This is the same as shooting DD with tighter dispersion and shooting BB with wider dispersion. Thank me 🫡🤫
You aren't telling the Des Moines what to do, you're just sending sarcastic messages and expecting them to magically know what you're on about. Why would you expect this to work? There are a hundred things they could be doing and they're making their best guess whilst you expect everyone to know yours. USE YOUR WORDS.
Honestly I am SICK. Sick to death of this stinking attitude in WoWS! Someine isn't doing what you think they should be doing? "Let's just ping them repetitvely with no explanation or throw insults!" Expecting like you're tapping into some nonexistent hive mind of 'common sense' which you've apparently assumed your enlightened brain is broadcasting to the world. IT ISN'T. There's a huge pile of contradictory advice and a lack of communication, which all of this bad gas is only making worse! The meaner you are in chat, the less people pay attention to it, and people learn nothing without explanation. This is a toxic mindset you mainly see growing around the EU server AND ITS YOUR FAULT, FLAMU!
CVS tend to ignore objectives and select ships to harass based on opportunity and how easy it is to strike them and there isn’t much of anything you can do to stop them. Submarines sail through the center of the map underwater so they can chase BB’s in their own spawn unmolested. The griefing trollish gameplay wargaming encourages and in fact enables ruins matches and the games enjoyment for all other players in general.
This example of WG's gunnery is just fucking hilarious. I dont know what else to call it. You liking WT more these days? Or it (anything) is just a nice change from CVs, Subs, and, just a broken game?
DM is nearly unplayable in the current meta. Range is too short, every single BB overmatches you, everything's faster, CVs focus you and everyone acts like it's 2017 and you should be spearheading the charge to pop radar and reports you if you don't. Then reports you for dying early if you do. Been loving it in Asymetric though, easy 190-200k top of board almost every game.
He has to appease his idiotic twich audience. He was more laid back and comical before he got onto twitch. Funny thing is he loves to pick on NA server, but when the same BS happens constantly on EU and RU servers he doesn't say a word lmfao

CV players = animals
Sub players = creatures
Everyone who plays everything else = potatoes
That makes a lot of sense :D Because both Animals and Creatures eat Potatoes :D
sub players = subhumans

Sonar was invented to spot anything underwater. So naturally it can't spot an underwater boat...

When you shot the first 2 salvos at the Ohio, I thought "it's a bit too high?". At the second salvo you can clearly see it was too high.
Subs are what ruined the enjoyment for me. Mixed in with double CV palooza in the mid tiers and a "relaxing" game is gone.
Do you know that the first submarine was invented by an Irish man and sank on its...Maiden voyage.

Don't aim on the screen....artillery plot it from the minimap...got it 😂
To be fair. Ripping out an armored turret and barbette. And replacing with a hollow aircraft hanger does reduce weight.
That's not the issue, when you sail that fast into the wind to launch, the plane isn't gonna have enough power to overcome it

There are only 2 ship types in wos - submarines and targets :)
And that poor, neglected class, carrier who if dares to move is protected from subs. It needs more buffs.
Your opinion of subs in the game matches my opinion of destroyers in the game
The same problem hapend today with my guns on the Henry today. I know its a WG bug, sooooo its OK
I generally play tier 5-8 and down there the subs are worse for the game than the CVs.
