    During Japanese occupation, Japanese demolished alot of traditional structures and buildings under modernization policy but this was merely trick to ruin Seoul's cultural heritage, some structures were dissembled and shipped to Japan, some of these building materials were used in Osaka to Tokyo palaces to beautify Japanese buildings, don't forget that 90% of facilities of Gyeongbok palace were demolished, and all it remains are main hall and king & queen's courts. If wasn't for Japanese involvement, Seoul would have remain living museum of the world. Also, all the walls that connects all five gates of Seoul were demolished too, only northern fortress wall section remains.

    Great video! A few questions:
    1. How did you create that graphic at the beginning? The one that showed the title? Also, how did you create that bit where you, your alter-egos, and your cousin were showed up in the episode title? I could NEVER do that!
    2. How did you create your lower thirds?
    3. What camera are you using?
    4. What program are you using to edit?
    Hope to hear from you!

    Just by looking at the palace destroyed, you can see how bad Japan is.
    Gyeongbokgung Palace was destroyed twice by Japan. during the war of 1592, and during the Japanese colonial rule

    • @Kevin-iu4kj
      @Kevin-iu4kj 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lemonyeay mers has peaked and there are less cases now. government has put many safety measures such as free masks and sanitizers so you should be good to go. it should get better by next week and i wouldnt be surprised it all sick people are quarantined and separated by end of june. im going to seoul in 2 weeks btw

      路市釧 My parents have just cancelled our trip to Korea- Hong Kong has alerted its citizens that they should not be going unless it's for personal reasons...

    • @Kevin-iu4kj
      @Kevin-iu4kj 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      world health organization has stated that people should not cancel their trips because of MERS. this whole thing is completely overblown. dont go to a seoul hospital and start hugging people=no mers. i know people living in korea now and that is exactly what they said

    • @sweetandtastyTV
      @sweetandtastyTV  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lemonyeay Currently I'm in the US, so am not experiencing MERS in Korea firsthand. From articles, I'm reading the situation is not too crazy as it initially was portrayed. I'd probably be safe and wear a mask in public spaces though.

      Well, no palace of Joseon Dynasty. But In Kaeseong city, there is a ruin site of a palace of Goryeo Dynasty(former dynasty of Joseon). It's called Man-weol-dae(滿月臺). There are no actual architectures, just stereobates.
      In Pyongyang, there is a palace ruin of Goguryeo Dynasty, an ancient kingdom that existed throughout Northern part of Korean peninsula, Southern part of Manchuria, and Liaodong peninsula. Anhakgung is its name.
