    Oh, I didn't get that it was a thought where Jesus traveled to see the peoples of the world. I always wondered how that happened. That helps me a lot; I get pictures shoved into my head all the time. Thank you!

    Does the concept of God choosing Mary mean more than the core of the whole message? Let's give glory to God for the message acquired.

    God chose Mary because she was of the right blood line/family at the right generation/time. Mary was predestined to be the earthly mother of Yeshua. She was not chosen because of her personal righteousness. I am not saying that she was not a good girl - I don't know that. But I do know that others God chose certainly sinned and sinned sexually. Take for example King David and King Solomon.

      I agree that when the angel came to Marry, it was obvious that he had found grace in the eyes of God. How ever, the examples you gave of king Solomon and David are irrelevant since both of them only sinned sexually after they became kings of Israel. Re read the bible and see what they say about Marry and Joseph and you will understand that they had not sinned sexually as well.

      God didn't choose Mary because of her personal righteousness, but it is evidently clear that, GOD was looking for a fundamental requirement of personal purity in an individual, in order for that person be be worthy of becoming a vessel, as an earthly mother for His precious Son. Surely, GOD CANNOT, AND WOULD NOT have chosen a prostitute or a sexually immoral woman to be the mother of His Son. Do you notice, that's why Mary had to be a virgin, she didn't have intercourse with Joseph, until she gave birth to the Holy Child. So the Spiritual message there is that, WE CANNOT EARN OR MERIT GOD'S GRACE, BUT AS BELIEVERS, WE CAN, AND WE SHOULD WALK IN SUCH A HOLY MANNER THAT WE POSITION OURSELVES TO ENJOY AND EXPERIENCE THE FULLNESS OF GOD'S AWESOME BLESSINGS. Being a virgin wouldn't have guaranteed that GOD chooses you by His Grace as mother to His Son, but being a reckless, sexually immoral will definitely disqualify you as a candidate for such an awesome blessing. This should encourage us to pursue holiness in Christ in all things.

      There are those in the bloodline of Yeshua that did sin sexually and were not even Israelites. Mary had to be a virgin because there could be no doubt about Joseph and his seed.
      All sin is sin, sexual sin is no way a higher or lower sin. It had to be the right number of generations, from the right bloodlines and tribes at the exactly right time of history. God planned Mary before she was in her mother's womb. But lets not argue for the fact remains that our precious savour came and took our sins and sorrows and defeated Satan and death for us.
      What we know now we know in part, for we see through a glass darkly, when He comes to reign for a thousand years all things shall be revealed, May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob watch over you and keep you safe.

      you said "sin is sin" but that's not biblical, not all sins are the same. Some sins are far more grievous than other sins. For example, a murderer will receive greater judgment in hell than a liar. And someone who murdered only by thoughts will be judged less severely than someone who actually planned out the murder;
      Why do you think we have a judgment, law system in society? Do you think that's man's idea? Don't you know that it is GOD Himself who instituted governmental law? (Romans 13). With that been said, sexual immorality is one of the most grievous sins in the bible. Look at the ten commandments, the first 4 commandments are more serious than the last 6; because the first 4 has to do with sinning directly against God. That's why the pharisees will be judged more severely in hell even more than murderous pagans, why? Because the pharisees committed a grievous sin directly against God Himself, by blaspheming the Name of Christ..That's why in the Old Testament, GOD ordered the stonning to death of those who committed disobedience to parents, murder and aduletary and disobedience to their parents, why? Those are the 5th, 6th and 7th commandments, more grievous than the remaining commandments. ......Again, GOD Chose Mary by His Sovereign Choice; but GOD Required of Mary to be sexually pure, because JESUS MUST HAVE BEEN BORN OF A VIRGIN......Hope that helps.

      Show me the scriptures where it show a greater punishment for different sins.
      The judgement system we have today is based on man's thinking.
      The judgement passage that comes first to mind would be Matthew 25: 31-46. What other passages do you get your theology from? Here mankind is based on what he does to help others.
