It's kinda sad how artists spend hours to days in finishing such masterpieces only for people to look at the finished product for a minute or two and then move on
You dont always have to do it for other people's attention or appreciation. As long as you yourself and people who appreciate your work enjoy it then it's more than enough. Of course doing it for the money is also great.

As an artist, there is a certain joy in showing the world what goes on in your mind. Art is like a medium between reality and imagination. If even one person views my art, then that means that concept no longer exists in my mind alone and that brings immense joy for artists like me.
but the artwork reaches thousands of people, so its basically one minutes times thousands
but as a artist you are very proud of that, and the happiness isn't people looking at the art for hour but to see the masterpiece you created and people liked it or saved it
At mid point i was like.. Pliss stoop adding more details😂. My Brain was blown away by the amount of attention to detailings and how awesome it looks..

With this timelapse giving people smaller confidence, this did the opposite for me. I never knew it was this easy to make a background, I felt so weak back then. Thank you, Leslie.
Dont be demotivated. Before you fully understand how something works it always seems impossible to do. Same as when I started I don't get it how can people paint photorealistic stuff but over time I understood its not that mysterious and people use reference image and observation to achieve likeliness and believability. Knowledge and skills are like training muscles, we all start weak and slowly building up strength as we train.
Years going but this speedpaint stay still my favorite, i always come back to inspire and catch breathe when I lose motivation

This is amazing! I'm trying to get better at drawing backgrounds so I'm looking up videos like this. This is so good! I definitely don't have the patience to do stuff like this.
you don't necessarily have to do all these tedious work to get a good result or try to get good at drawing backgrounds. You can use photos, textures, 3d softwares to aid your drawing. just focusing on the essentials, the mood, the composition, the feelings you are trying to express.

of course you can. It took me a few years to acquire this skill and I'm far from the most hardworking person . If you work hard and smart u will get there faster than me for sure. Talent is not required when it comes to drawing imo.

@@ler9251 it will take me a loooooong period of time if i want to create something remotely close to the anime you see on tv. Animation takes a lot of skills, knowledge and time. Even something like a 5 seconds action of a simple character will take me days to draw and color.
@@ler9251 but technology is evolving rapidly. I see there are more and more people trying to make fully polished animation by one person and are having good progress.

Fantastic work. What type of tablet are you most comfortable using when putting in some serious work like this?
Anything will work to be honest. For this one I used a very old wacom bamboo fun tablet but recently bought a cintiq, cheapest in their line but works fine for me.

oh ok, thats very encouraging for me to make more of these. Everyone can reach this level if they really want to and are willing to put time and effort into it. This doesnt require talent it only require you knowing how and putting in time to practice.

i used alot. Some online pics and some photos taken by myself around where i live.
It's funny when people say digital doesn't count because it's easier and therefore faster to do. Then the people who work with digital obsess for hours over every tiny little detail anyway.
