Lundazi-Chama to be connected to national grid

Works on the over 54-million dollar electricity transmission line project connecting Chama and Lundazi districts to the national grid have advanced.
Eastern Province Minister PETER PHIRI says the construction of the four substations has progressed and is expected to be completed soon.
Mr. PHIRI is optimistic that Lundazi and Chama will be connected to the national electricity grid by December this year.
In an interview with ZNBC News in Chipata, Mr. PHIRI said the two districts have depended on power supply from Malawi.
