LAFC = France West . lol. First off, I hope Giroud and his family find happiness (and marketing opportunities) in MLS and the USA. And it's pretty funny every major summer signing will debut at Leagues Cup from now on. I always felt Giroud has been unappreciated at club until AC Milan: He was never "enough" at Arsenal, his Chelsea stint was unremarkable. I'm looking forward to watching him play in MLS.
That's the Giroud story. Each time, each club. He is chosen as a substitute for another player who will have to start, he established himself as a starter, but is never recognized at his true value.
@@trorisk . Never heard him complain either, just goes out and does his job on a high level- for a lonnng time now. Still does. Appreciation for him doesn't seem proportionate to how good he's been for how long. Dude just bailed out France the other day. Think him being one of the DPs that works out- is all in is pretty much a slam dunk. Going to bang in a s-ton of goals I suspect.
As a Galaxy supporter this is weird. Signing Lloris and Giroud would have been such a Galaxy thing to do just a year ago with a very different administration. For sure Galaxy would have tried to sign them in years past and also completely dropped the ball by surrounding them with mediocre players who don’t fit the playing style, à la Ibrahimovic, Gerrard, De Jong, and even Chicharito was levels above most MLS players in his day. But obviously the other team has had success like when they brought Bale and actually won something. It’ll be interesting to see how Giroud performs long term. Not just half a season but for the entirety of 2025. Buena suerte, these old European men certainly need it. Especially when they start experiencing the long flights, less than stellar hotel rooms, and they get home sick.
You guys have been a dumpster fire the past couple of years. Even if you try, these elite veterans won't sign with you now. You guys are lucky to have Will Kuntz though.
Wth going on with Carlos Vela,,the dude still young enough to play In MLS at least two more seasons ,,why nobody wants him ,,,,what’s wrong with MLS clubs,,,Look,! His skills & experiences still much better than a bunch of younger dudes out there,,,as we seen at Inter Miami club,,you can tell without Messi,,,,they are nothing with a bunch of junkies 🫵🫵🫵😝😝🤣😜
Elite strikers don't need pace as long as they're elusive. Giroud knows how to shed Serie A defenders in tight spaces. As long as he stays fit and gets decent service, he will score a lot of goals in MLS, for at least a couple of years.
@@cerebrix yeah but Pirlo definitely retired on the field in MLS haha. Imagine Ibra at an mls club that didn't suck. He recovered so well that he went back to Europe, which at his age was pretty crazy.
Bouanga, Llorris, Giroud, we just signed a French defender and we’re linked to Griezman. LAFC is turning into a top tier Ligue 2 squad and I’m all about it
I thank him for breaking our Number 9 curse at Milan but now it's time to shun and even hate him for choosing the wrong LA team. And going to that cesspool clown club
@@kalmenbarkin5708he won’t be the best. That’s Luis Suarez. He’s right there with Benteke and Pukki though. He’ll score 20-25 goals in this 18 month window.
Giroud is going to tear it up
Cool! He’s obviously still highly productive for Milan. I suspect he’s got another good year and a half.
Giroud has looked good for AC Milan. I'm also impressed with how he is willing to do some defensive work.
Denis Bouanga is probably a massive Giroud fan just being a French forward
Great vid, thanks for the details! Keep up the great work, Tom! ❤️
What may be disappointing for MLS fans is that Giroud is not a flashy player. It does important but not very visible work.
Providing he's motivated, he'll do well, him and Bouanga linking up could be potentially devastating
We want griezman
A class striker! Let’s go!! 🖤💛🌟🌟🌟🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

100% all he did was score goals for Chelsea, yet they kept dumping hundreds of millions on other players that didn't. NEVER understood this.

So Carlos Vela won't return to LAFC?
It seems like he might just retire if he doesn’t sign with a club soon.
At this point he’s probably milking it.
Lafc said expect big names and signings during the summer so idk but then again vela still has him in a lafc jersey in his insta

And the rapids are ecstatic about a $3 million dollar Mihailovic……. I’m going to start crying soon.
Why leave AC Milan?? He’s doing just fine
Giroud is the best looking dude i have ever seen but im a gooner
(July 26th LAFC play Cholos. * ) let’s goooooooo
Chris Klein signing lmao lafc going a step back with the older signings
You forgot to mention Brian White in the elite centre forward bracket 😔
Lafc back to back to back mls cup appearances and hopefully another cup

Giroud ain't no Zlatan. lol! Zlatan is on another level.
You're right. Giroud is a World Cup trophy winner. Ibra is on another level. A lower level.
@@cerebrix better keep that same energy with Haaland 😂
@@dubmusik304 trophy wise, Ibra had as much impact at the Galaxy as Pirlo did for NYCFC

Now he has to listen to some of the worst chants 😆
He's six foot two and he will do you?
Giroud sounds like a bad signing. Should’ve went for a younger player.
No way, this signing springs LAFC into MLS Cup contention once more this season and next. A younger signing wouldn’t nearly have the same impact.
He’ll be quite possibly the best finisher in MLS. Sure he won’t have all the pace but having someone who can convert every chance you create is great.
I thought that about Suarez too but then he started scoring a bunch of goals.
He’s signed for a year and a half. He has 18 good months left. They have all time time in the world to sign a young striker. They can still do that.
