I fell victim to the ghost pad key back when I was in middle school, but luckily I was able to figure out by comparing to another instrument that the key was in fact in working condition.

Man what I wouldn't give to see a clear demo of the Alto Clari register mechanism. Mine stops playing for the upper octave on account of a dysfunctional register set up and I do not understand what is wrong with it. It's a Bundy/Selmer

Hi Joe. I'm Ray, the producer of that video. One of our techs, Blaize, tells me that the alto and the bass have virtually the same mechanism. Our department is very familiar with all of the issues with the Bundy/Selmer and how to solve them. Bill, the presenter in this video, now works part-time for us on Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9am-5pm. Feel free to put in a call to Bill to discuss it in detail - 314-631-1486.

@@nottelmannmusic I'm up in Canada without a long distance plan and calling the USA would get expensive fast. I was hoping that they might have already produced a video.

@@SmeeUncleJoe no, we did not produce a separate video for alto clarinet. The reason is because, other than size, it is virtually the same as the bass clarinet. The best way to get an answer to your specific question would be to have a quick conversation with our repair team, and the time to speak specifically to Bill is above.

I have a bass clarinet and my peg won’t go in unless I completely unscrew the screw. I’ve asked my band directors and they don’t know what to do about it and I need help
