Noah Daglio Funny enough Keanu Reeves fought vampires in Bram Stoker's Dracula and Cruise...well...he was in a mech-suit in Edge of Tomorrow so kind of close.
Tom Cruise took lessons and trained so that he could hold his breathe for up to 6 minutes underwater just so he could do that scene in this movie. It was real.
I have a lot of respect for Tom Cruise for consistently choosing good roles in good movies. Every movie he's made in the past 5-6 years has been surprising and inventive. He picks one good role every summer and just goes hell for leather. This movie was literally thrilling.
I'm happy I'm not the only person who holds their breath when the characters on screen are under water. When I was little I some times forget to breath when I watched Finding Nemo.
Quint Dunaway If you want to truly identify as a fish you should always be breathing when they're in water dude, and holding your breath when they're out of it. Try it it's pretty fun
Gresh854 They're the people who gave a shit rating for a pokemon game because it was a pokemon game and had to much water in it. Do people really take IGN eriously anymore?
I'm guilty of holding my breath along with a character sometimes. There's this scene from The World is Not Enough where Bond's holding his breath as he swims around a submarine. Fun game to play :D
The Unusual Suspect I do it with the scene from Phantom Menace where Obi Wan and Qui Gon are being lead by Jar Jar to the Gungan City. Also that scene from Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Mans Chest just after the first Kraken attack where Will is underwater.
Edward Sanchez Productions I know, that's why I said "usually". Like "Usually, if your parachute doesn't open during a skydive, you'll die.", there are however those rare occasions where there is an exception, and the person miraculously lives.
***** Neither Ghost Protocol OR Rogue Nation are as good as Mission: Impossible III. The third installment is not only my favorite Mission: Impossible movie, but probably my favorite Hollywood action movie of all time. The dialogue, the acting, the story, the tension, the amazing opening sequence, the special effects-- all perfect. I have watched it several times and although the subsequent movies have been good, they have not. . . amazed me.
To this day, Lane’s defeat is my favourite villain defeat scene ever made. It’s just so well done. Also, I like Ilsa more than Ethan (also, Benji really shines in this movie).
M:I 3 was the first PG-13 movie I saw in theaters after I turned 13, so it always holds a special place in my heart...plus Philip Seymour Hoffman. But for me, the opera sequence and underwater sequence in this movie are two of the best things any M:I movie has ever done.
@@Dominic-Decoco you're right, and I did know that. I saw many PG-13 movies in theaters before then starting when I was probably about 7 or 8, but M:I 3 was the first one I saw after I turned 13. That's all I'm saying.
So espionage movies in 2015. Kingsman, MY FAVOURITE FILM EVER LOVED IT. Spy, holy shit that was funny. MI5, looks amazing and I am seeing it soon. UNCLE, have high hopes and I don't want to be disappointed. Spectre, it's Bond.. need I say more?

Honestly that under water scene was so well shot! I loved the fact that it didn't have much of background music during that scene but instead it was quiet so u could panic along w Tom😃
I love this franchise. Usually as more sequels are made, the movies get worse, but mission impossible is the exact opposite. My personal favorite is ghost protocol, but I haven’t seen fallout yet. I wouldn’t be surprised if it blew all the others out of the water
i swear this is one of the best in the series and those scenes EVEN more improved then before , such a blast , PROOF more long series can be done greatly.
Usually when Jeremy posts a video, it's morning here in Japan. A Jeremy Jahns video telling me MI5 is Awsometacular? What a great way to start the day.
Thank you Jeremy. I thought the Mission Impossible movies were dead after the third but your rating made me watch it now... and it was.... AWESOMETACULAR!! That's why yourself and Stuckmann are my trusted advisers on movies - well played boet.
My favorite thing about this movie is that it avoids so many cliches of action movies (spoiler alert) there are no double crossers, Alec Baldwin is not really the bad guy (he would almost every shitty action movie), the guy doesn't have a pissing contest with the badass girl, the guy and girl don't have to kiss at the end just for BS reasons. I love this movie
Freaking loved this movie!!! Just barley got back from the theater with my dad, I thought there was going to be more action like in Ghost Protocol, however the suspense in this movie was fantastic!! A little predictable, sure but it was well executed so overall I'm probably going to watch this again!! 8.5/10
I don't usually leave comments on TH-cam because most of the comments I read are not worth reading and I don't want to add more to that mountain of crap. I was impelled to just say I had a blast tonight. That movie was the definition of what summer movies are supposed to be. I'm glad they changed the date to this week because I was about to go see Vacation before I watched your review. I held my breath while he was under water and also when he was on the plane. Thanks for your reviews it helps me save money and time.
I gotta confess that I pray for more great movies to come out because I totally love not just the way you say "Awesometacular", but how you prepare the moment.
I love all the Mission Impossible movies. And I fawking love all of Jeremy's reviews. He is able to review shit and not give away spoilers. Jeremy my man you're also the only real reviewer left and the only one I listen to and agree with at the same time. Keep up the amazing work dude.
Its true. Whenever a character holds their breath underwater I always hold my breath to see if I can do it. I nearly died when I watched Finding Nemo...
Ok, that beginning was too funny. I thought I was the only person who would hold their breath whenever the character is doing some under water theme...yeah I wouldn't survive at all. You got folks fighting, swimming for what seems like hours, diffusing bombs, saving the world....all under water and with one breath...Really?! Seriously?! LOL! Thanks for all your reviews...You are very entertaining!!!
This was such a great movie! Literally pure entertainment from start to finish and had me on the edge of my seat! Best action movie of 2015 so far IMO(And I loved Fury Road)
I always hold my breath under water too Jeremy! And Tom Cruise actually held his breath for 6 minutes to do that scene... Holy Shit that's what i call commitment.

Just watch this movie yesterday Jeremy. I watched this with my sibling and cousin and I must say I really have a good time in this movie, Although Tom Cruise really do the most action setpieces on this film. Jeremy Renner usually just talks with Alex Baldwin. Simon Pegg is a little comedic he brings a comedic timing to a nervous situation. I LOVED this movie 10/10!
Lane as the Riddler?....Yeah, I can see that. Brilliant, setting up "puzzles" for ethan to solve, being the best kind of riddler by having the puzzles move him closer to his goals, creating complex plans to beat his rival, not exactly combat inclined but willing to take the field when necessary. Yeah, I dig it.
Chris McQuarrie wrote The Usual Suspects and then wrote and directed one of my favorite films ever made... THE WAY OF THE GUN. I fucking LOVE that film.

Ok, I got 2 admit. What got me pumped for this movie was dem playing dat slow and eerie version of The Fugees song over the action scenes in the trailer. Loved it. I'm definitely gonna watch it dis week.

Mission: Impossible 3 (Hoffman's villain, Q and her Lambo, seeing how the iconic masks are made, epic foot chase and the bridge missile for the win) 2. Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation (Pegg's and Ferguson's A-game, and badass Biker Cruise reborn, hell yes please) 3. Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (epic corridor and climbing the Burj scenes, loved the humour that didn't compromise the franchise's tone) 4. The classic drop of sweat, the ascending elevator, the suspense in the restaurant and the train scenes)
My favorite Tom cruise movie was the one where a there's a fire and you see a dove fly away in slow motion, followed by Tom cruise while the villain stares into the fire trying to get the lord of light to show him his future.
I feel so bad right now. I just left the theater and should never have gone being as tired as I was. I dozed off multiple times and missed so much. I'm gonna have to see it again.
Is it weird that I had absolutely no idea this movie was coming out until the week it was released? I haven't been hiding under a rock and not realized it have I?
They actually shot the water plant scene thing in my dads home town in Southampton. He kept on telling me how he had been in that room when we saw it in the Cinema and it got really frustrating!
I'm not a huge fan of espionage or action movies, I just watched this movie because my mom loves that kind of films. And I loved it! I was pleasantly surprised and I think I'll watch the previous movies soon...
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that tries to hold my breath, but when I heard it was going to take 3 minutes (7 minutes movie time) I took my first breath as he jumped and thought, "Nope, I'll just give up now so I can watch the rest of the movie without missing anything from passing out."
Haven't seen this one yet but I def will! I loved ghost protocol but my fav is MI3. JJ Abrams directed that one wonderfully and PSH was a great villan. He was such an amazing actor.
Tom Cruise is a cyborg
Keanu Reeves is a vampire
Illuminati confirmed
I'd watch a movie like that.
Noah Daglio Funny enough Keanu Reeves fought vampires in Bram Stoker's Dracula and Cruise...well...he was in a mech-suit in Edge of Tomorrow so kind of close.

Im really worried about Spiderman and those behind the Vacation movie.
Estivel Garcia well they also did Horrible Bosses

That scene in the world is not enough is so hard to do it goes on for like two minutes
I just watched it myself for the very first time and holy crap, this movie was incredible

***** erm... nice comparison?
Edward Sanchez Productions does days of future past counts as a 5th installment ?
SilverShion X-men, X2, X-men 3, X-men Origins, First class, Days of futures past. No, can you add?
BananaCellphone Considering the X-Men films are arguably just Wolverine movies with added cast, I would say The Wolverine would count.
I'm so hyped to see this movie. Great to hear that it's good!
Yay galactic God! Lol
Omg Haha i was just watching a video of yours and here you are :D nice
***** It's a good movie, but not Ghost Protocol great. Though Tom and Rebecca have a great chemistry in the movie.

Ign gave this movie a 7/10 and you gave it an awesometacular rating. Ign gave Vacation an 8/10 and you gave it a dog shit rating.
***** ikr 😂😂
Vacation an 8. GTFO that movie was so shit. Ign should just quit
***** Just something I wanted to point out on how off their reviews can be.
You can't spell ignorances without IGN.
Ign has cool discussion videos, but some of their reviews (especially movie reviews) are wack
Well it looks like Mission Impossible 6: Cruiseageddon will happen!
id so want to see this movie so much
Haha, me too Tevya.
They're shooting it next year.

I was pleasantly surprised and I think I'll watch the previous movies soon...
each time i finish a movie, i look for this awesome guy! great review as always jeremy 😁😁
just got back from watching mission impossible
0:10 finding nemo must have been fun
From the third one on, these films have really been stepping things up in terms of quality with each installment
Man I was worried it would suck. This year is an amazing year for movies.
Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation continues the franchise's thrilling resurgence - and proves that Tom Cruise remains an action star without equal
I had a blast watching Rogue Nation, just as much as I enjoyed watching Ghost Protocol, which is my favorite of the series.
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that tries to hold my breath, but when I heard it was going to take 3 minutes (7 minutes movie time) I took my first breath as he jumped and thought, "Nope, I'll just give up now so I can watch the rest of the movie without missing anything from passing out."
If you haven't already done so, I would love to see your review for the first 3 Mission Impossible movies.
Haven't seen this one yet but I def will! I loved ghost protocol but my fav is MI3. JJ Abrams directed that one wonderfully and PSH was a great villan. He was such an amazing actor.
Great video yet again. So I met your friends John Flickinger and Chris Stuckmann. When the hell am I gonna meet you?? Haha!
